"Just think of other things. It helps if you do something else other then school, something that you do with your hands and body, like kick-boxing. I run. It's fun, to run. And I don't do it in human form. It's...amazing to run while you're a wolf." I say.
I see Charlette's distressed face.
"What are you thinking about? We can still go to school, if that bothers you."

I get to my feet and Charlette follows.
"We'll need a change of clothes, I guess. I mean, I don't think..." I trailed off, blood rushing to my cheeks again, spreading to the tips of my ears and neck, staining them bright, cherry red.
"Lets go." I went outside and turned to Charlette.
"All you do is think about wanting to change, and what you want to change into. Wolf, or half-wolf, half-human. Right now, you just want to be a wolf."
I think about running as a wolf, and my senses sharpen and I hear Charlette gasp. I yip, as if to say "See? Not hard at all."

I smiled in my mind, chasing after Charlette. I nipped at her legs and ears as I ran past her, letting out a laughing bark as she leaps at me and misses.
I skip past her and lick her face in a wolfish kiss, wagging my tail playfully.
See, I say in her head, you're a natural.

I nuzzle her face with my snout, giving another wolfy kiss to her cheek then I laid my head on her back.
You know, we need to go see your grandparents, to find out what's up, if they know, I tell her.
It's weird, I've never ran with another wolf, and it's weird to know that we can communicate in our minds, I ponder.

I slowed down again, so I was running beside Charlette. I fought the implulse to play with her, and keep running.
We run to stand infront of a giant house. I cringe at the smell of vampires coming from the house. The scent was strong.
Charlette, who lives here? I ask.
My grandparents, she answers, the smell not seeming to have any effect on her. So she was used to the smell.

"Ah, I was expecting you two. Come now. And stay in that form, I'm sure you're both virgins and haven't seen eachother," an elderly voice crows from behind us. I turn around and see an elderly vampire walking towards us, urging us forward. I see Charlette's face light up, even though she's a wolf.
Grandmum, Charlette squeals, even though her grandmother can't hear her.
"Charlette, it's good to see you too," the woman smiles and walks inside.
She read your thoughts, I say to Charlette, both of us following the woman inside.

Charlette's grandmother leds us to separate rooms.
"Get dressed, and we'll talk once you're finished." She walks back the way we came at human speed.
I don't say anything to Charlette, I just go into the room and nudge the door closed with my snout.
I change back and get dressed, the clothes fitting me surprisingly well.
I come out the room at the same time Charlette does. I stay silent and walk downstairs louder then I usually would. But it doesn't make a difference, they would've smelt me the moment I got downstairs.
"Good, you're both dressed. I hope the clothes fit well. Lets go to the livingroom to speak, shall we?" The elder vampire says, coming from the kitchen.
I follow wordlessly, the hairs on the back of my neck raising, telling me that Charlette was following my every move with her eyes.
