Lightning didn't take to likely to the shock wave, but the electricity didn't affect him as bad as Rayne thought it would, he absorbed most of it instead. She held her breath as she jumped out of the way of the shots, just barely missing her gundam's feet. She let out her breath when she landed and charged after Darkwing, and shoved her left sword forward, hoping it would go though.

"Well, that is a unique ability... reminds me of..." -thinks back to my childhood- "the Gundam with the scythe... he resembled Death in every form, but he never killed a single solider in that last battle."
((yes i do make Gundam Wing references, after all, this is based in the same timeline, just 14 years after the last events of Endless Waltz, if you do make references, keep it in this timeline, i.e. Gundam Wing.))

Rayne wasn't quick enough and was hit. Lightning stumbled forward, but she regained him. This was useless. Her electricity had no effect on Darkwing. What was the point? That's what her gundam's specialty was, she never really used anything else cause it was so effective against most of the enemies she'd fought.. She screamed in her head as she turned around, thinking quickly, and began running in circles around the other gundam. She picked up speed as she ran, making the dirt on the ground cloud up, it hard to see.

-on the radio- "Rayne, what are you doing? Dirt won't stop a Gundam. Just what are you doing?"
-turns back to computer-
"Almost finished with adjustments to the rifle... good thing the controls have been fixed, no way it could handle the Rifle without being perfectly balanced." -goes to hangar-
"Come on Zero," -gets in- "let's see if we got that calibration right this time." -heads out into space-
((I'm going to also act as generic bad guys until we get more people, otherwise just having tourneys will get boring fast. I'll also be goign out every now and then for recon =D))

soldier one "We have detected a mobile suit approaching at high speed."
soldier two "Send out the Leos, whatever it is it shouldn't be much of a th... Is that..." -shaking in fear- "No! it's impossible! It can't be Heero, we killed him, and why is Zero still intact, we destroyed all mobile suits at the end of the last war!"
solider one "Sir, it appears to be stopping, sending Leo suits out now."

-i smirk as I watch the Leos launch-
"They really think Zero is so weak?"
-the Leos fire, i easily dodge, i fly up to one, an kick it in the torso engaging the flamethrowers, it explodes-
"The idiots are weak, and they dont even know it. Maybe a taste of the Buster Rifle will show them."
-brings up the rifle, aims, charges and fires-
soldier one "Sir, theres no way we can...." -their entire base explodes as the shot from the Rifle hits the power core of their base
"Well, looks like I didn't account for recoil, left arm servos are damaged. Good thing it only takes one shot."
-i fly back to the base, and start repairs-

Rayne ignored him, not really caring that much. She was just blinding Strider's line of sight. She was in the air now, her blades both coming down on both sides of Darkwing's head.

Rayne yelped as she quickly maneuvered her Gundam into a ballet pose, Darkwing's attack only hitting one leg. She stumbled over, but balanced herself on her one leg. Sorry for embarrassing you, buddy. She smiled. She knew that stuff would come in handy eventually. Along with the practice of one legged battle.

Rayne began crying silently. (( u know, the defeated cry thing of rage/disbelief from anime? =O )) She wouldn't give up though. It didn't matter so much that all the other people on her team were stronger than her.... did it? she couldn't move as well, but she held her ground, holding out her swords, blocking, electricity flying from her blades.
