*hearing the faint chanting of "Enter the Arena" and "Crush Em" by Megadeth from his player, Magni's smile takes on a visceral joy in anticipation of the event. Yoder knew that his lunging attack left him open to a point-blank gunshot, but he had hoped it wasn't loaded. He was surprised to find that Tana's firearm was loaded, and also surprised that the gun wasn't aimed at him when it was fired. Upon the gun's discharge, Yoder realized how this utility of Tana's functioned. Ah, so a magic spell-gun of sorts, eh?

Passing under Tana, his lunge missed and left him wide open. Recovering his balance shortly after landing, he spun around to face the barrel of Tana's gun, presumably loaded, and Tana's free hand ready to cast. At Tana's statement, options for his next move raced through Yoder's mind.

The fractions of a second that passed before either made a move seemed like minutes to Yoder. Tana has an advantage in being ready to counter-attack and in having gravity on his side. Still, it will probably be difficult for him to control his descent. I have the low ground and have yet to think of a decent next manuever. Plus, the weight of these two scythes on my back prevents me from jumping up as high as Tana is. That low dash I just tried was the most I could manage with this baggae of mine. What to do...

Yoder had only one clear option, one that he had been hoping to save for later in this fight. Upon whispering "Azarin!", flinging his arms behind him, and standing up with arched back; the tiny crescent moons adorning his belt, cape, and composing the entirety of his hair pin laucnhed in Tana's direction. These spinning disks were a diversionary tactic and not focused at any particular region of Tana's body.

As the crescents flew, Yoder's position lended itself into the start of a backward tumble.

((Sorry for the delay in this post. I've battled with a migraine all day. Computer screens aren't the best of things to be staring into with such a headache.))

Mirouni calmly took a seat not far from Magni as the fighting resumed, laying his cane across his lap at a slight angle.
This did indeed hold the possibility for great enjoyment.

Four projectile moon-like ornaments rocketed towards him, though Tana did not blink or flinch. Instead he merely lowered his gun again. Though instead of firing, he left his other hand extended outwards. He opened the palm of his hand so it would face the projectiles. The laser over his eyes enhanced his vision as it showed the trajectory paths each moon was making. One of the moons, luckily was moving in a path that would miss his body. One caught him in his left shin. It stung, and his eye winced only momentarily. The other two Tana chose to take some sacrificial damage so his body wouldn't have to move. He smacked the two lunar clips with his hand, even without magic to ensure the safety of his hand. After the small clips had stopped moving, and landed themselves back on the ground, Tana lowered his newly injured hand; blood dripped from a small gash in the middle of his palm.

There didn't seem to be much difference in the stance Yoder had taken, of course whatever he'd done had been forgotten for the sake of defending against those moons. With even more distance between the two of them, Tana holstered the casting pistol, and again took out the book. He slapped open the scripture in his left hand, not caring where it landed.
"I hope you're ready my friend. He stretched out his right arm straight out to his right, extending his palm as he did so. He quickly swung his arm forwards and a clearly visible, book-sized purple hand shape appeared near Yoder's location. "Psychic Hammer!" Tana blared out and with another swing of his bleeding right hand, the manifested hammer hurled itself at Yoder.

After his casting, he swiftly turned the pages towards the back where the experimental magic he'd been working on was written. Tana would do his best to at least challenge his opponent this time around, not wanting to have his a** handed to him like Talon did.

Yoder was shocked to see that Tana did nothign to avoid his attack. I guess he saw through my tactic He could see that Tana was starting to cast, and there was no oppurtunity for him to counter or defend against his opposition. As Yoder saw violet energies quickly gathering near him, he leaned back into a backward roll, hoping this would be enough to dodge the spell's effects. As he rolled, Tana spoke the magic's name.

When Yoder had finished his tumble, he faced a purple fist rocketing toward him. With no time to avoid the mallet, he braced himself for impact. The hammer connected, unleashing its concussive force upon a relatively prone Yoder. Soaring away from Tana from the blast, the grasses his flung body chewed up upon skidding to a halt did little to lighten his landing.

Yoder could see that there was now a considerable distance between Tana and himself, hopefully giving him some time to recover. Upon sitting up, the pain hit him. The lower portion of his coat was worn away, leaving his lumbar back nigh unto raw. A momentary wave of nausea swept over him as he felt his bruised abdomen. Yoder smirked, or maybe grimaced, as he said, "A good move, Tana. I'll be sure to repay that in kind." Aside from the pain, these are mostly surface wounds. They shouldn't affect my combat ability too much.

The fight was showing the best of those participating. A grand fight. It'll be worth my time if I have to fight. The lizard sat at the back of the stand watching each move hoping to glean and learn from those his superior. There was always the chance of a fight of his own.

To his dismay, and his falling bloodlust Yoder made no apparent motion of a counter-attack. Knowing enough of his spells, Tana put his book back in its pocket, and left the pistol within its holster. Readjusting his hat, and tweaking the nob on the side of his eye enhancement, he readied himself. He began with one foot forward, and then another. Walking moderately in speed towards his good friend. He didn't really wish to move in, but he was left no choice.

Slowly enough, Tana's walk turned into a jog and eventually a run. His arms raised and crossed as his fingers were positioned as if he were to snap at Yoder. Though instead of running into his opponent, he veered to the left and leaped as he did so. As such, he did snap his fingers; this was the physical incantation for one of his favorite play-spells. Tana figured he'd at least attempt to provoke his opponent.
"Dual chaos spell: Twin Spark!" The snaps caused a small line of child-like fire to merely flare out at Yoder; it wouldn't do much, maybe cause a few hairs to singe. At the end of his leap he looked on attempting to reignite the bloodlust, "I know you have more, let me bleed!

Yoder rose to his feet as Tana moved in to attack. Claws ready, he expected an actual physical strike from Tana. However, Tana moved to his side an used another spell. The burst of flame made Yoder shield his eyes, but it did little else. At Tana's next words, Yoder knew he would have to take the offensive. Yoder replied, "As you wish, friend!" Yoder then retracted his claws as they gained an almos-fluid like quality, finally reforming as black gloves. He then reached to his back with both hands, retrieving his scythes. He stretched and cracked his now-relieved back.

Yoder drew one scythe behind himself, shaft parallel to the ground and blade curving upward, and one sythe staye in front, parallel to the ground with its blade facing toward Tana. Running at Tana, Yoder hoped to deliver the carnage Tana begged for.

((Note that the gloves the dark claws turned into are only for the purpose of providing grip, ot defense in any way.))

The motivation to defend had deserted him, a smile spread from cheek to cheek as his attacker came forward. This is it; Tana had been waiting for the blades to be revealed. He reveled in thoughts of blistering chaos, and sheer brilliant beauty soaked in red hues. Again, he stood waiting the attack to meet. Bringing his gun back out from the holster he waited. He let the scythe's blade meet his flesh, as it cut into his torso. It knocked him back, as the metal ripped the meat. In recoil from the attack, his finger pulled the trigger of the casting pistol as it pointed towards Yoder. It fired, though Tana was deafened from the smell he'd been pining for.

His hat flew from his head, revealing the bright pink hair underneath. His jacket, having been ripped through fell from his shoulders into a bloody mess upon the ground. His palish green skin was ever-apparent. Taking off the laser enhancer over his eyes, they refocused as he looked for his opponent. He quickly loaded another round into the casting pistol as his eyes slowly filled with a glowing red tint. Certain urges were starting to surface.

((*smacks himself for not posting when he said he would*))
((Also, since you didn't specify what the bullet in the casting pistol would do, I'm going to assume it was a bullet similar to the one you fired earlier.))

Yoder was amazed that his attack connected so easily. Though his blades cut deeply and hit his opponent away, Tana's shot couldn't miss at such a close range. The bullet loaded was identical to the one Tana had used to vault himself skyward earlier in their scuffle. When not aimed at an object as solid as the ground, the majority of its concussive force travels outward as a bullet would. The blast threw Yoder away, causing him to lose his grasp on one of his scythes. Luckily, the blast ddin't completely overwhelm him, so he was able to kneel and skid backward.

Yoder now stood with shredded pants, 2 or 3 bruised ribs (hopefully none were broken, though Yoder would have to find out as he fought), and one scythe at the ready. His other scythe was still convulsing though the air, its landing point being behind Yoder. This didn't matter, because one scythe allowed for greater mobility and precision than two. Without wasting a second, Yoder began to sprint in Tana's direction, fully aware of the gun aimed at him. As he neared Tana, Yoder did all he could to weave without losing much velocity.

((Yeah, sorry about that. I forgot to put the shot into detail. But it turned out rather exceptional.))

His eyes were on an ocean current of focusing; repeatedly back and forth he lost and regained focus. His awareness aroused and dulled at the same time, Tana dropped the casting pistol and fell with it so he was down on his right knee. He looked up, and as his eyes refocused one more time he put both of his hands to the ground. He was beginning to start an incantation but half-way through flinched hard enough that he fell over on his back as Yoder kept his charge. Tana stumbled around on the ground, appearing to look for something; as to what it was, not even Tana knew. His mind was slowly losing itself to madness until it had finally vanished and his eyes became the same red color as the plasma visor.

"Chaos spell: Volcano, part one. Falling Debris!" His arm shot up into the air and he quickly swung it down as if hammering a nail; his friend closing in dangerously quick. A large shadowy circle surrounded the two of them; a red glow within the shadow. Knowing the full capability of the spell would do nothing for Tana, his mind torn and temporarily lost. A large, one story house sized flaming chunk of rock was raining down upon both of them as long as they were within the circle. Tana, however lost he was; still felt the metal blade tear through.

((Management training at my job is eating even more time out of my schedule. Luckily, my last day will be Wednesday. Unluckily, that also means I'll be leaving in just under 2 weeks. crying ))

Though Tana lowered his firearm, Yoder guessed that another spell would be coming. HHedid, howveer, cease his winding route and made a straight sprint to his friend. Even though his opponent seemed to cease casting his new spell by falling on his back moments later, Yoder didn't dare to stop. He knew it was no feign, but there was a chance it was involved in the ritual for the casting of his next spell. Yoder had little knowledge of such magics, so he had to assume the worst.

Closing in for the attack, Tana's countenance seemed to change. Nothing physically notceable, but more like a change in how he movements were expressed. Of course, Yoder didn't notice such a minute difference, being entirely focused on his target. He won't have time for whatever spell he planning to use now. I'm almost to him.

Tana's incantation, movement, and the dark ring that formed behind Yoders foot as he came upon Tana all took place within too short of a time for Yoder, at least when so focused, to react. Yoder was not expecting Tana to make no effort to dodge yet again, because this attack was going to be near unto lethal. Not wanting to unnecessarily disfigure the other combatant, Yoder aimed his blade slightly more axially. A slice that would have removed Tana's right arm instead tore through the space between two of his ribs. Though the attack didn't hit centrally enough to pierce a lung, Yoder hoped it would disable the use of Tana's right arm (which was, as had been made apparent in the fight thus far, a veritable weapon itself).

Upon stopping past Tana, silvery crescent gleaming gleaming scarlet, Yoder noticed the odd hue and dark circle surrounding them both. His eyes turned first back to Tana and then skyward as the massive brimstone fell ever further.

Yoder didn't know if he could exit the shadowy ring, which seemed to contain the raining hellfire. The flaiming hail plummeted down to Yoder, and he had little choice but to use his scythe to deflect as best he could.

((Apology for the Princess Bride joke I'm about to make))

Blood flowed more than treacled from Tana's torso. But his mind still wavered. It wasn't as though Tana had not chose this path. His arm hung, dumb and useless, he flung his empty left arm in its stead, continuing the potential for spell-cast. It wasn't necessarily that his left arm was more magically potent, though it was; it was simply that Tana could hold the spell-book more easily with his left hand. It wouldn't help too much, however.

Tana was on his knees, blood coursing. Still lost with the blood red in his eyes, his now-tensed left arm reached his mouth.
"Chaos spell: Volcano, part three. Chaos Spirit." Flames scorched from his throat taking an embodiment. The Chaos Spirit belched from Tana's throat burned its personified laughter as two arm-like entities spread themselves over Tana. He directed the sparking river of embers towards Yoder, but in a struggle to regain control pushed them straight into the falling hunk of rock. Exploding, the sky fell with fiery Earth chunks over the two of them.

((Okay, now I'll be able to post daily. I really am sorry for all the delays in my posting thus far.))

As the firey asteroid loomed over them both, Yoder was petrified. His attention snapped back as Tana continued to cast. Raising his scythe in defense, Yoder saw two tongues of flame erupt from Tana's throat and writhe their way toward him. Using an elementary bit of information, Yoder, who was already stopped, dropped to the ground in hopes of evading the incoming appendages of fire. Before he had a chance to roll, he saw Tana make some strange movements which seemed to cause the dual spitfires to redirect. Their new target was the hell-like boulder falling to earth.

What's up with Tana? First he creates doomsday with this chaos spell, and then he destoys it with his next offensive in place of hitting me. Wait, just maybe... Rising to stand once more, Yoder called, "Tana, are you all right?" Somehow, Yoder knew he probably wouoldn't get a response from whatever it was his opponent was changing into.

The burnng hail from the resulting explosion above pummeled the ground and further scorched the already blackened grass. At least this time there wasn't a wildfire. Stationary, Yoder let the brimstone hit him while he waited for Tana's response or next move. His next attack would be a finisher; he just hoped he wouldn't have to use it.

Red. Red eyes staring out towards his opponent. Eyes without pupils became eyes that could not see anything but blood and enemies. But there was a struggle, as Tana fought for control. His body seized for a few moments, until he jumped to his feet. Drawing his sword's hilt with the bottom of this fist rather than the top he reached over with his other arm with his middle and pointer finger extended. His body had reacted to the struggle, the bloodlust consuming him more each second. Words he didn't want to say dripped from his lips. "Nature and Chaos cross-spell: Fire enchanting the furious metal before you, meet the Earthy tomes of hatred which will envelop you and become eternal! Crush your foes with Emboldened strength; strength enough to split mountains and level forests. Come before me, Obsidian!"

Fire devoured the steel sword, and a layer of Earth materialized and smothered it until the two became one forming a black obsidian coating over the steel. The glassy black blade within his hand was raised in front into an attacking stance. He was temporarily worn out in terms of magical capability. It would take some time to regain his magical strength. Perhaps too long given the two's current situation. But his bloodlustuous take-over feigned the ability to cast magic with the right hand raised in a possibility of casting various spells. Cross-class magic spells took too much effort and power to be used consecutively, especially after casting the two level five spells [Falling Debris] and [Chaos Spirit].

Tana's taken over body was given time by his old friend, Yoder. Seizing the opportunity, his body twisted and he cart-wheeled with the Obsidian Sword, launching his body in the middle of his cart-wheel from his hands. As he descended he slashed downwards with much force, a devilish smile across his face as his body's wounds were stopping and closing. The fiery Earthen rain falling impeded him, but only minimally. It felt like warm snowballs to his subdued nerves. The conscious kept fighting every step of the way. Tana's human side was thrown away in wake of the sacrifice to gain the magicks.
