He shook his head. "I assure you, I'm Human. My mother was Human. My father was human, his father was human, my entire family as far back as we can be traced, was Human." He set his hands on his lower back, his nails grazing over his Skin.

"Nobody should be naturally immune to an infection of this caliber, especially since it has only been introduced to the environment lately," Rick said back to Archereus, then turned to Chase, "What is your name?" He asked.

Archereus went silent and remained so. He had nothing else to add, though he would have liked to ask Rick for some form of assignment. Perhaps Lastern had underestimated this man. Perhaps it was unnecessary to aid him. But, of course, the shadow lord liked to have a hand in everything, no matter whether it was necessary or not.

Rick looked over to Leonard and nodded once before returning his attention to Chase again, "Rick Hunter," He said simply, "Now, I will have to ask you to empty your pockets; hidden or otherwise. And also leave any weapons you may have. I will return them to you in due time."
