Sapphire smiled slightly. "You mean besides jumping around the rooftops? Well, I'm a bit of a freelance artist. Drums, writing, drawing, sculpting...though the majority of my income is from making costumes. Both dress up and super hero related." she replied, forming a few thin strands of her Sapphire Strands in the air in front of her. "I can do quite a bit with thread."

"Yes, I can see that," said Hal, looking at the strands with interest. "Were you born with that, or did you pick it up somewhere along the way?"

"Picked it up." she replied, playing with the strands a bit, making them take random shapes. "My world gets powers from special stones that kind of choose who they give thier powers to."

Sapphire smiled a bit. "Rather than wear them, the stones bond to the being they choose. It's...almost like a symbiotic deal. The host gets the powers, and when the host dies or releases the stone, the powersource within is freed and can move on. It's the only way for the stone to free itself." she said, letting the strands clump together and harden to form a large sapphire.
"Though, there are a few people that have found a way to manipulate the stones. Using them without making them bond."

Sapphire took a quick glance around the room to see who all was still around. Pretty much the same people. She was trying to think of of something else to say, but she wasn't really one to talk about herself that much.

Sapphire turned back to Hal. "Well, I've always loved drawing. It's nice to have a variety of projects to work on, and I usually have quite a bit of time to work on them." she replied, then paused a moment. "Actually, my favorite jobs I don't usually get much for. One of the places I work for does little things for a local orphanage. Small parties and such. Kids usually want drawings and such. Made Halloween costumes for a few of them one year."

Hal's expression changed from his charismatic smirk to a warm, genuine smile. "That's sweet." After a moment, he added, "Hey, how about next time you do a gig like that, give me a call. Kids also like meeting people with cool jobs."

"Sure thing," Hal said, happy that she had made that move. Yes, tonight was turning out well, indeed. He might even want an actual date with this one, too. He reached into his pilot jacket's pocket, and pulled out a card.
Handing it to her, he said, "The cell number on that is my personal cell. The main number is how you can contact me while I'm at work." The name of the company read 'Ferris Aircraft'. "Feel free to call me anytime." He threw in a little wink right after he said that.

Sapphire looked at the card a moment, then smiled as she slid the card into her boot, where she usually stuck her cards and such. "I'm sure I'll find some free time." some nights it was rather slow. Most of the, what she liked to call 'newbie thugs' usually quit their rounds after the first meeting or two with her, so some nights she was just hopping around the rooftops and that was it.

"I hope so," Hal replied. Then, he comented, "Hm, it's funny. It's all tipped in your favor, too. You know my face, my name, and my alias, and all I know is how you look in costume and you alias. Usually happens differently with other hero-types."

Sapphire smiled and took another glance around the room. The villians seem to have left. Gossamer wouldn't matter anyway, she'd already seen her face. Heck, she'd been the one to rip the mask off herself.
"Well then, maybe we could even things out just a bit." she said as she sliped the bottom of her mask up to pull it off.
