L shook his head and sighed. "I believe the man, Malus, was trying to conduct experiments on you. Probably to learn more about your powers. I'm guessing you might have an abnormal DNA strand or something." L shrugged and smiled faintly down at Toshiro. "You don't have to worry about that anymore."

Toshi smiled up at him, "Tantei-san.. is..most... ehh..." She really was bad at her english, though she was truly trying to make an effort and emphasis on what she was trying to say and so she tried sounding it out. "...fu....rei....n....da" Though she sounded out friend, what she meant to say was kind, but she got mixed up on the words.

L scratched his cheek, unsure of what she was trying to really say. Her 'sentence' didn't really come out good. "Is most 'friend'?" he asked her, a confused look in his eyes. He shook his head and let another faint smile form. "Toshiro, it's getting late. Do you want me to walk you home?" In truth, he was used to staying up for days at a time, so he wasn't nearly tired, even through everything that had happened.

Looking slightly defeated, "Tantei-san is most kind..." She sat up though not realizing he was so close, bumped her head on his, "Eehh..!" resulting in her falling back into his lap. As she put her hand on her forehead she apologized, "Sorry..!"

 He stumbled through the portal, appearing somewhat later than his sister and the detective man. He saw the two of them bump heads, which made him chuckle. He knew that she was safe with him, and could tell she liked him.
He approached them. "Sister, after the long day, I'm going to head home. I trust you'll be safe with the detective man," He said as he turned to leave.
Maybe he'd go and fix the door.

Toshi blinked, slightly confused. Normally her brother would be acting more overbearing.. and pretty protective..She blinked then sent a mental message to Yoshi. What are you doing...!? Why are you leaving..?! It was true--she was pretty clueless even to her own feelings..She stood up and then turned and looked at L.. "Tantei-san.. Would you like some home cooked traditional Japanese dishes..? I'm guessing if you in this town by yourself, you don't get much of that type of food---though I must warn you, I'm not that good at making anything other than rice. But I was told once that the person who eats a cook's food can taste the happiness of the cook... or something like that.." She was purely guessing whether L lived alone or not, but she tended to be somewhat of a good guesser for the most part.. She really hoped he would take the offer, though to be honest she really didn't know why.

((things have been a bit hectic lately ^^;; ))
L knew what was going to happen as she tried lifting her head, but it was too late to react. Her head collided with his, knocking his up a little. He stared up at the night sky for a moment before lifting his hand and gently rubbing his forehead, failing to make a single sound from the pain. He winced, but just barely, and looked down at Toshiro once again just as her brother appeared and told her it was fine for Toshi to be with him. He moved his hand to his cheek, scratching it gently in confusion. This really wasn't funny... He'd already done much more than he should have and now the boy that was supposed to be her brother was failing to take her with him. Friendship just wasn't something that happened in L's life...
He heard Toshiro speak again and looked down, listening closely. She'd invited him to dinner... He was hungry, but normal food wasn't his thing. Actually, he couldn't even remember the last time he'd had proper food. It was a miracle his teeth did not rot from the amount of candy he ingested every single day. He stood up before Toshiro and turned to the right. "No..." He said in a voice just above a whisper and started walking away... The closer one got to him, the more dangerous this game known as life became.

Toshi frowned for a split second and then turning as if leaving slowly, she sighed, "Oh well, You might have liked some of the exotic candies I have.." She was hoping to grab his attention through the first thing he had given her. A lollipop. And what she said wasn't a lie.. She liked candy too.. She was taking quite a chance trying to persuade him this way.

L stopped mid-step as she mentioned candy. He turned around, his non-chalant gaze falling upon the girl's back. It both annoyed him, and made him want to come, that she was using candy as a bribe. Why was she trying so hard for him to come back to her house with him. "How old are you?" He asked, wondering just how much younger she was than him and changing the subject almost immediately.

"Ehhh..I don't understand English very well.. Sorry..!" she turned with a slight confused smile. "Though I am truly glad to have made a new friend in this city.. One without somewhat of a language barrier.." The last bit she mumbled. She then asked him something about his candy addiction.."Which do you like better..? Tootsie pops or Lollipops..?"

((I'm thinking about re-doing this RP, but there will be a limit to how many RPCs people can make. I mean I will be putting up like 6 emim, 7 devils, 5 demons, 7 seraphim, 6 Archangels, 5 basic angels, 5 humans... Yep, that's how it'll be...))
L quirked a brow as she brought up more candy and attempted to change the subject completely. She didn't know what he had said, but he was going to find out. She looked far too young for someone his age to feel any attraction towards. "How old are you, Toshiro...?" He asked, ignoring her question completely. He could ignore his hunger for candies when needed.

"I am Seventeen." She smiled at him somewhat strangely, "Tantei-san.. You remind me of my favorite cousin, back in Japan. So if I am treating you too familiar, please forgive me." She bowed in apology rather formally, getting a strange feeling he was taking some sort of offense to her informality. "Gomen na sai.."
((Can we continue this one and start the other one..? I really like this one and I think the lack of posting is due to school starting.. n.n; wink )

 Toshi spun around to face him just as he called himself a random person. "Random people don't usually put themselves in such danger to try to help rescue others that they don't know. And for how young I am, I have been told I have an old soul due to my persistence." Her voice was full of confidence knowing he had been apart of attempting to rescue her when she had been kidnapped. Though it was because of this that she had returned to help get him out.. "But to me, age does not matter in friendship." She smiled. "This is the reason I am inviting Tantei-san. I would really like to show my appreciation." She started walking slightly behind him though somewhat beside him so that he could still see that she was there as she waited for his reply. She was quite persistent in things she felt she needed to do and really didn't like to take no for an answer.
