Lissianthus I'd kind of gotten the impression that the harder lists would have more expensive prizes...or is the shift to Lotto going to mean that there's just one drawing for multiple prizes? I'm pretty sure the idea was each set of loot will get you a ticket into that particular contest. cus I know I'd be pretty pissed to enter for say Sybil's incarnation and get the shadow gear or whatever.

Well ultimately the use of a difficulty system would mean that even if say the hard was the listed, then high lvl ppl would 1 ultimately have numerous items of the sort already, then put on the angelic ring set and go to town farming easy. knowing that they would get the easy set faster. meaning we would have a ton of low lvl loot and they would have triple the tickets of just collecting the hard version.
I want it to be even for the lower lvl folks yes but the problem is that the differentiation in loot collection would cause commotion.
Especially if a higher lvl goes after the hard type loot and gets beat out by a lower cl who just farmed the hell outta easy.
I like the idea but it must be completely thought over to make things even.

hmm... well you have a point... balance is key.
I was just going to do it off of drop percentages, it would take the same amount of time to gather an item, and lower levels can have the angelic and fitness ring whilst farming as well so that is not as big a problem.
divide some number like 10 by the drop percentage and that would be the number of tickets earned from 5 of those items + gold.
and if we really wanted there to be some unleveling, pure gold tickets.
buy in with 500g for 5 tickets or something like that...

I actually wasn't in the mood for tickets as much as I like one entry, equal chances. The drawing wouldn't be for a while and there is an inherent benefit to farming for loot, more orbs, more TC, if crewing/More bar on Ghi Meter improvements.
As it stands, the loot lists aren't that bad but can be calibrated if needed. People that want a certain item can put the item name on their trade.
This is getting way complicated so I am going to put the proverbial foot down. Loot + Gold = entry fee for contest. Everybody has equal chance. We are going to set a drawing date that everybody can either agree on or we can decide as fair.
And we can always help people farm so they can get into the later areas. I am not opposed to this and neither is pretty much everybody here.
