Heath was a bit taken a back at the knowing glances the two got. It seemed that when they approached the group, everyone seemed to eye the way their hands were linked almost immediately. He wasn’t keen on the way they were taking the gesture; he’d dragged Felix all the way to the Great Hall, did that mean they were a couple? He thought not, so he it bothered him a bit; people were assuming he and Addison were one. Why? Because it was only nature it is a man and woman? It wasn’t that he didn’t like Addison, in fact he liked her a great deal, but it seemed stereotypical. Very briefly he listened to what the group was saying, but he didn’t care to be read in on the situation at hand. His eyes had moved to peer at the ground, before he felt a soft squeeze at his hand, and a question whispered. However then, his focus was taken by the strawberry blond that stood beside him. Heath opened his mouth for a bit, but then closed it. No use explaining, he wasn’t sure he could. He didn’t want to offend, or break any sort of ties they may have.

Heath placed a small smile on his face, pushing the matter aside by doing so. Yeah, I’m fine. No worries. he replied, praising her observation skills. He hadn’t been aware it was that obvious, had the others noticed as well? As his gaze turned to them, he sincerely doubted they had. Not that it mattered, the smaller amount of people that did the better. He peered at Felix as he began to get off the ground, and merely held his wand closer to him to offer a bit more light. Then again, not everyone was as accident prone as Heath was, maybe he didn’t have to worry about Felix. After he’d safety gotten off the ground, Heath looked back to the other two, whom had seemed to begin into a small battle. Eventually, Heath was mentioned momentarily. Which caused him to remember the stunt he’d pulled not that far back, this caused him to shake his head. He’d rather be at the Hospital Wing right now to be honest. Though he’d decided not to say anything in reply.

Heath watched them for a bit longer, until everyone decided to it was time to leave. When Seamus proclaimed that Felix could lead, Heath moved, all the while gently tugging Addison with him, to walk as well. He gave Felix a somewhat encouraging smile, whether he was at the front or not, he wasn’t alone. Though that was the best he could manage right now, his gaze turned to Addison. Shall I walk you to your common room at least? he asked softly, trying to avoid the others hearing, and making more assumptions. He was born a gentleman, he couldn’t help using manners, and it wasn’t abnormal though they might mistake it to be. Tomorrow we can roam about more, alone. he added, reassuring her that they would make up lost time. He was keen on getting to know her, maybe then the assumptions wouldn’t bother him as much.

Addison furrowed her brow as Heath seemed unsure of what to say. She hoped she wasn't making him feel strange by having held his hand for so long. When he answered her, though, he seemed quite fine. Giving him a smile, she said, "Good, then." She turned her attention back to Seamus and the other girl, who appeared to be arguing. Shaking her head, she smiled at Felix as he stood. Addison was about to ask where he got the cat he was holding when Heath pulled her off after the rest of the group.

Enjoying the feeling of her hand in his, she almost didn't realize he had spoken when he offered to walk her back to her dormitory. "I think so," she said, answering his question in a voice just as soft as his. He continued, and she squeezed his hand gently again. "I would like that."

(( sorry if y'all were waiting on me... I couldn't even make a decent semi-literate post yesterday... it was sad... ))

Felix waited for the others, like one of the good guys. But they wanted him to lead. Ok. He could do that. Seamus gave Felix a little push. Felix yelped and nearly stumbled. Off a broom he just wasn't that steady. He sighed and looked back to Seamus. He saw Anna catching up with. "I wouldn't be so sure about that..." He whispered in response to Seamus's statement. Felix wasn't a leader. But hell, he could try. Surely he could get them the few feet back to the castle with nothing too crazy happening. Then again....

Felix shook his head and looked back at Heath and Addison. He'd been paying attention to Seamus and Anna who were so close. He felt bad for not including Heath and Addison more. As he looked back, Heath gave him an encouraging smile. Felix's smile grew some too. He was glad the other Hufflepuff liked him. He turned on his heel, nearly falling, but tried not to show that it had happened. He took a deep breath and lead the way back to the light of the castle. His wand light on his feet, ferret on his shoulder, and kitten in his other hand. He walked quickly, feeling a little awkward with everyone following him and eyes on him. He didn't look back, last thing he needed was to fall. He trusted they would follow him. After all, they'd ran after him any ways.

Felix passed by the other guy. The one that he didn't know the name of. He gave an apologetic smile to the boy, hoping he would follow to. It was Felix's fault for the whole issue. He hoped the boy wouldn't be too upset with him. He turned his gaze ahead again. No falling for him.

Seamus fell into step beside Felix. "Come on now" he said softly. "Learn from the best yeah? One, two, one, two." He made sure to angle his light at the ground, so they wouldn't fall. He was going to have to teach the Hufflepuff to man up then. Like teaching a baby bird to fly, sometimes you gotta push 'em from the nest. It made him wonder about Felix's home life, why his father had not instilled in him the ability to take charge. It doesn't matter now. I'll show him. So far, the boy had done smashingly. Assumed everyone would follow, and just walked the way. If we get to the castle with an incident I'll give him a bloody sticker. He turned round once, making sure Anna was still with them. Heath and Addison weren't far behind, but she was his responsibility now.

User Image User Image Seamus appeared beside Felix. They fell into step together easily. Felix grinned. He wanted to tell Seamus he really was the best, but he was afraid it would blow Seamus's ego out of the water. And more he was afraid of the way that Seamus might look at him. He didn't want to scare Seamus away because he said something. "One, two... One, two..." Felix mimicked softly with a little grin at Seamus.

Felix looked at Seamus as he turned to see if the others had followed. Felix felt himself stand a little straighter. Seamus was powerful. He was strong and smart. Right? Well, it was close enough. Felix felt better just standing near him. "They are following?" He questioned very softly. He wanted to know but didn't want to fall again tonight.

It's a bit like having a kid really. Or a pet. Seamus grinned as Felix caught the beat. One, two, one, two. "Brilliant. See? Nothing to it." He bloody would get a sticker too. Felix'd taken to it like a dragon to the air really. "They are, sure. Keep it up. It's only walking! We'll work on the hard stuff later. For now, just like the momma duck." Seamus' grin grew wider as he thought about taking Felix under his wing. He'd be brilliant. No one would see it coming! He restrained himself from clapping. Maybe it's more like having a plant... They continued moving towards the castle. "What sort've classes do you have tomorrow? Anything good?" He was hoping for someone to be taking Astronomy with him, so he'd be able to copy from them. S'a joke class, really. Stars, bah.

User Image User Image Felix couldn't help smiling with Seamus. He was right. Nothing to it. He stumbled. Over nothing that he had seen, but at least he didn't fall. He gasped and drew in a shaky breath. He shook his head and caught up with Seamus quickly. "One, two..." He muttered under his breath. He managed to smile back to Seamus. "Only walking..." He felt his smile falter. "I still get this wrong... The hard stuff is going to be horrible..."

Felix moved closer to Seamus. He just didn't want to fall behind again. Well, mostly. He still wasn't too close to Seamus, but he was closer than he had been before. Seamus asked about his classes. Felix thought about it for an instant. "I have Muggle Studies first..." He grinned. "Mother wanted me to take it... Said it was the best class for pure bloods to take..." He shook his head. "So... Yeah... And then I have Care of Magical creatures later on..." He bit his lip in thought. "And the Hufflepuff team is meeting on the pitch for a while tomorrow... I can't wait to get back on a broom..." He said wishfully. He glanced at Seamus. "What about you?"

Felix stumbled, but managed not to face plant. Seamus was proud. "The hard stuff comes after the walking, so just worry about that for now." They continued walking. However, when Felix admitted to taking Muggle Studies, Seamus' one twos slowed. "Ehh. Good luck with that then. My parents aren't quite so open minded. I've got Care of Magical Creatures too though." His parents would have a conniption if he had to take Muggle Studies. But who'd want to! Felix kept talking, and walking which was a good sign. He could sorta multitask. "Oh you play Quidditch? What position?" Seamus couldn't imagine the Hufflepuff as a beater, or chaser. "Oh, I don't do Quidditch, but I'm always at the games. When Slytherin is playing of course."

User Image User Image Felix grinned when Seamus said his parents wouldn't let him take Muggle Studies. But he had Care of Magical Creatures. "Well... My mother is open minded... My father... Not so much..." Truth was, his father barely looked at him. He didn't see Felix as a son. He couldn't that Felix cried so much. Just think about it made the smile slip away for a few moments. His eyes filled with tears at his father's angry words.

Felix pushed the thought away before he did something foolish. Besides Seamus was asking what position he played. "I'm the seeker..." He said, standing a little straighter. He was proud to be the seeker. And a good one too, which was much to his surprise. Felix slowed for a moment, it put him more in pace with Seamus, but really he was thinking. "I think our first game is against Slytherin..." He shivered thinking of the nasty taunts from the Slytherin team. "You wouldn't cheering for me just a little, would you?" He asked looking at the ground and where his feet were taking him.

Seamus nodded, although he wasn't sure he understood why Felix's father allowed his mother to make Felix take the class. His mother would never stand against his father's wishes. He watched as the Hufflepuff's eyes watered, although he collected himself fairly quickly. Seeker. Yeah, that makes sense. "And are you any good?" He didn't mean it to be rude, he wanted to know for when Slytherin would play against them. He didn't like to lose, even though he wouldn't be caught dead in those outfits. Almost answering his question, Felix revealed Hufflepuff would be playing Slytherin in their first game. Seamus laughed lightly. "How about if I say I hope Slytherin whomps the team, but you perform fantastically. Just not quite catching the Snitch?" Catching the Snitch would end the game, ensuring the Hufflepuff's win, so Seamus felt he simply couldn't want Felix to catch it. "Maybe against other teams. Gryffindor for sure."

User Image User Image Felix smiled at Seamus as he asked if he was any good at Seeker. "I only got to play in the last game last year... It was against Gryffindor... Me being there was only supposed to be temporary since Kris was called back home for family issues... They didn't expect anything..." He began slowly. He rubbed his hands together. He was suddenly nervous. He glanced back to Seamus then to the path infront of them. "I caught the snitch not too far into the game... Since Kris gave up his position the team wanted me again... I think I'm pretty good..." He ended softly.

Felix looked back to Seamus as he laughed lightly. Felix felt his smile fade. Still, it was better than nothing. "Alright... I guess that will be ok..." He said softly. Then he paused and turned worried eyes to Seamus. "But if I do catch the snitch, you won't be mad at me will you?" He asked softly, his voice a little shaky. He might just cry if Seamus hated him and was mean to him too.

Seamus nodded. "Nice, yeah. I heard they're harder to see on the field. They're pretty impossible to see from the stand most always." His eyesight was perfect, but still most times he had no bloody clue where the Snitch was, especially with all the other action to watch. Felix turned to him and he could see worry in the other boy's eyes. Oh bloody hell. Trying to be patient, although he didn't feel it, Seamus said "Well, that's your job isn't it? And if you do your job well, there isn't any reason for anyone to be mad." The Hufflepuff needed to grow a spine, how else would he survive? "I'd be mad if you bloody sucked though, after telling me you were good." Seamus laughed, trying to lighten the mood. He'd stood against that guy on the train, who'd punched him, and claimed the Hufflepuff as his own. Even if it was going to kill him, he'd have to stand by what he said.

Makala had found herself outside, her wand tip glowing brightly in the darkness. At first she'd thought she was alone, but voices met her ears. Two males, it seemed, talking about whether or not someone was a good Seeker. The longer she listened, the more familiar once voice became. Seamus. A smile smile crept onto her face, and she turned to follow said voices until she came upon the sources. The other boy she recognized as the Seeker for Hufflepuff during the last game the previous year. "Well, I'd say you're decent on a broom," she said to Felix, having seemed to appear out of no where. "But Slytherin is still going to win." With a small smile she turned to Seamus, nodding in his direction so as not to seem rude. "Why hello there, Seamus. Good to see you." It was only then she noticed there were others, and she quickly nodded to them to show they'd not gone unacknowledged. "Seems like quite a group here," she commented, noting how all Houses aside from Gryffindor were represented at the moment. Mostly Ravenclaws than anything, however.
PostPosted: Wed Aug 05, 2009 9:37 pm

Anna lagged behind a bit, but nonetheless was able to stay a decent amount behind them. She had no need to join into their conversation, as most of it was just silly things about classes and familial things. Nothing she cared too much about. Sticking the hand not holding her wand deep into her pocket, she let the other hand listlessly by her side as she followed after them. There was a short moment where she felt quite the stalker, but she brushed it off. After all, the kid who had shown up glaring was likely to be behind them, anyway. At least, she sure as hell hoped so.

Her head tilted a bit when they got onto the subject of quidditch, although she still drifted in and out of the conversation. Something about Felix being the Hufflepuff seeker? She ended up snorting a bit at the thought, although she managed to keep it rather quiet. There really was no need to be rude. "Seeker, eh? I'm the Ravenclaw keeper. Tried out for beater, though." Keeper was a rather dull position, though it did have it's good moments. Being a beater, however, would have been much better for her. And the way her mother would react? Well that, would be priceless.

Seamus turned his head to Anna, having heard her speak for the first time since they'd starting moving. "Is everyone a bloody Qudditch player out here?" He shook his head. He wouldn't play, couldn't make him, although he liked to watch. Seamus heard a voice in the shadows. "But Slytherin is still going to win" "Of course" Seamus responded, turning to the sound. Makala had found them. To be polite, he stopped walking. "Hello M. How's your evening? Yes. Quite a group. I had been taking a walk alone, but" he sighed. "Sometimes people fancy themselves ninjas, tackling people to the ground." He frowned, remembering. "Oh my manners. Makala my darling, this is Felix. I'm sure you know each other, from the pitch. And this lovely creature is Anna." He gestured behind him. "And the rest. And this is Makala Vaine." His obligation to the introductions fufilled, Seamus stifled a yawn.
