 Hei smiled as he felt Hikari's hands move over his eyes and he let a chuckle escape his lips as he set the cooking utensils down before turning around and setting his hands on her waist. "Good, well, evening." He smiled widely, glad to see she had finally awoken. "Ever had a dish called 'ramen'?" He asked her, pulling her a bit closer, almost into a hug.

Hikari laughed, releasing her arms. " Good evening to you as well! I've never heard of it but I'm willing to try something new! " she replied, smiling. She put her arms around his waist and hugged for a minute before releasing, her face showing she was delighted. She skipped out the kitchen and into the room, humming a little song she had learned wandering around places.

Hei loved her embrace, feeling a warmth that he'd never felt for anyone before. He smiled and turned back around as she skipped away and finished the ramen. He poured the soup into two big bowls and set them on the table. "Hikari!! Food's ready!" he yelled out to her, sitting down and waiting for her before eating. "Itdakimasu!"

Isamu wrapped Kasumi in another hug. "I love you Kasumi, you know that . . . " He leaned down and brushed her cheek with his lips, whispering softly. "I will wait for you, I do not care if my love brings me death."

Blueyedemoness  Serena heard Dimitri say that her grandma was a wise woman and was confused on why he had said that. Then she realized that she had said that out lout "Oh, the woman wasn't my grandma, I was just quoting what a friend of mine said to me along time ago. I didn't think I was saying it out loud" she told him. She didn't mean for the confusion, then he asked her if she had any siblings. "No, the only people I could ever think to call siblings were my friends who took care of me. I think I was an only child, though I could be wrong, I have to look for my family records and see what I can find. I have to know more about my family more than anything, then I might be happy". Serena hoped that would be the end of the questions about her family, she didn't want to answer anymore. She just wanted to leave and find the inn, she wasn't in the mood to talk anymore really. She had heard him earlier referring to the war, but she made no comment of it. She waited patiently for another answer, once he did she'd probably start leaving for the inn.
She felt a little on edge for some reason, she didn't know why, it was the damn mood swings of hers. She sometimes had them and it always made her feel mad or anti-social. It may be cause she is so anxious to find her family or at least find out who else was in her family other then her and her parents.
Dimitri turned around and walked over to the door and opened it for Serena. “Ladies first,†he said smiling. “Also Serena don’t worry, I am sure that you will find that answer you are looking for, it just takes some patience,†he said wishing that he could take is own advice.

Serena was a little flattered with Dimitri holding the door for her, but not very much. She didn't really care for the advice he gave her, she had already known that herself. She was too caught up in her own thoughts to really listen to him right now. But she looked at him and smiled "Thank you" damn her mood swings. She's grumpy one minute, then happy the next Maybe it's going to rain soon she thought. Serena loved rainy days and they always seemed to cheer her up right on the spot. She hated herself for that, when she was in a bad mood, it wouldn't go away until it rained or she calmed down. Maybe she got that from her mother, she did hear that her mother loved the rain so much. Though he dad seemed to be a little bit scared of it... which was kind of puzzling.
She sat down for a minute to collect her thoughts, or just think about stuff she never thought of before. After thinking for a while Serena got up again and checked herself into a room. She turned to Dimitri with an apologetic smile"Sorry, if I gave you the wrong impression earlier. I have these mood swings sometimes and I can get really irritated easily when in them. The only things that seem to work is if I cool off or if it starts raining, weird huh?". It was sort of an apology, she had treated him rudely before arriving, she felt she should.

Hikari smiled and strolled back to the kitchen. The smell filled her noses and she could already taste it. She sat down at the opposite end of Hei and giggled quietly."Thank you Hei!" she said and smiled wide. " Itdakimasu " she said, copying him. She laughed and slowly began to eat it. "Ow!" She had burnt her tongue so she stuck it out for the air to cool it down. She giggled and then blew on it before resuming to try and eat what he had cooked for them.

Hei smiled up at Hikari, but got a little worried when she burnt her tongue. He frowned, but it didn't last long as she began giggling once again. He was glad she liked the food. Hei started eating as well, being careful so not to burn himself as well. When the noodles, beef cutlets, and other ingredients were finished, he drank the broth, emptying the bowl. "Ah! That hit the spot!" He laughed a bit and got up, pouring the rest of the ramen into a special container so they could eat it later. With his powers, he was able to keep the container warm, so the food wouldn't go cold. He looked back at Hikari and rushed into the other room to retrieve the rest of his things. "Hikari, once you're done, we have to go." He yelled from the other room, noticing the sound of many footsteps walking towards his door. If he was lucky, they were just a few customers and would leave soon. If not, he was going to have to shed some blood before Hikari. He didn't want to, but if needed... He just wouldn't allow anyone to harm Hikari. Hei lifted his blade up and aimed the tip towards the door, getting ready for some uninvited guests...

Hikari finished the bowl soon after Hei. It tasted delicious so she wanted to thank him as soon as she put away the dishes. She skipped down the hall to find some people near the door. "Well hello little missy. What are you doing in this kind of dump?" one of the men said. Hikari's smile faded and she tried to run as they reached to lift her up. "Put me down! I demand that you put me down right now!....Hei!!!" she cried out, her arms and legs flailing around. " You're comin with us little girl. " he said, smirking. " Ain't no guy gonna save you now! " Hikari stopped moving around and began to cry uncontrollably. " Put me down! " she managed to say between hiccups and sobs.

Hei grit his teeth and in nearly an instant, his body was thrust forward and next to the man beside the one holding Hikari, He tackled the man to the ground and swung his blade around, cutting the heel of the man who was holding Hikari. He flipped into the air and lifted his leg, bringing it to the back of the man's skull and pushing down, making sure to grab Hikari so she didn't go with. He held her in his arms, holding her close and hoping she couldn't hear the sound of the man's skull cracking as Hei crushed it beneath his foot. The remaining man tried running away, but with a snap of Hei's fingers, he instantly ignited into a large, flame. He ran down the hall, screaming his head off.
Hei knew that it was time to get out. So, with Hikari still in his arms, he rushed out of the inn, noticing the small flame that ignited the place, starting to burn it to the ground. With his strength and speed, Hei ran through the crowds of people with Hikari and didn't set her down till they were far out of town. He sat down on a rock, still holding her hand as he tried catching his breath.

Hikari's tears began to stop and she wiped the remaining ones away. She held onto Hei's back tightly, grimacing as she heard the sounds of the battle. Her mind was in a state of confusion but managed to fix things up after she was put down. Her hand in his, she asked him " Are you hurt anywhere? I'm sorry I troubled you Hei....but I was really really scared.... " She went to hug him tightly and began crying again.

Hei shook his head when she asked if he was hurt and pulled her a bit closer. She closed the gap though, hugging him and crying as well. He held her in his arms, pressing his cheek against hers and letting her let everything go. "It's alright now. I promise that I will protect you no matter what." He pulled her on to his lap so she was a bit more comfortable, still holding her against him and trying to comfort her. "I love you, Hikari..." He said quietly into her ear, hoping she knew just how much he meant it.

Hikari looked up at Hei, sitting on his lap. The tears began to slow and she felt warmth inside her when he had mentioned he loved her. " love you too Hei.. " she said and laid against his chest, hearing his heart beat. Her cheeks were flushed and her heart was pumping like crazy because of what had happened.

Hei held her close, wanting to kiss her. He was kind of afraid she'd faint again though, so he resisted the temptation. He could feel her breath against his chest and noticed her crying had slowed. Hei was glad that he could comfort her. His heart couldn't help but beat a bit faster from the close contact and her words of love, but a smile crept up on his face. He lifted her head gently and reached his head down, kissing her gently for a moment before pulling his head back and looking down into her eyes.
