Chieftain Twilight is not... >.> there are no mechas! Can we have a smaller more technological race....that uses mechas(not as big as megadeuses though) but rarely....o.o You know like the tiny race from Guild Wars 2(they actually use golems...but...golems that look like mechas >.>)

Hey what do you think Iron Golems really are? Just have to get creative in your design of how they look is all. As for the people to godhood and relics thing... hmmm. The question is how would people ascend to godhood. Maybe those that have are either: A mystical user who has invested enough power into themselves some how. A technological advance that gave the person godlike powers. Maybe regeneration such that they never die, or something like that.
How's that sound? Maybe some relics around may be mystical, or technological in nature. Damn now I'm sounding like the steam-punk stuff I believe.

If people could become gods though, the PCs would practically be demanding it. I can't speak for anyone else, but running a campaign for divine PCs has never really appealed to me.

I'm going to have to agree with her. :3 Whats the flaws of having a race that rely on "Iron Golems", but not all powerful. Can't the golems function like pets or something of that nature.

Yea, not fun. xd be prepared for pandemonium if you do! constant OOC, inter-party assassination attempts over XP, bar fights, and weekly castle raids. i have adjusted my games at every start-over, and they STILL always find something new to make me deal with! xp and somehow, i can still come up with decent adventure plots on the fly. ._. somehow. i dunno how i do it, i guess i just got used to this.

eek I need to tell you about my groups...
Okay, so I like imagination in my PC's so I generally let them use homebrew classes I approve of... Bad move every time... You have never seen so many PC's try to kill a single guard for his silver sword (capital city royal guard werewolf spies) and then turning traitor on their patron! SO I figured out how to deal with any homebrew class PC problem... Antilogic!!! [all one word] essentially it is a way to deform the world (Far realm was my inspiration) resulting in a temporal regression or some other random thing all centered around the roll of a d4 {the d4 was rarely used so I chose it}... Anyways tying this into ascension, (which is not that hard to DM around, just up the ante and have other divine candidates and only a limited power source) if someone can preform some sort of near impossible task, such as slaying a demon lord/archfiend or high ranking angel; comparatively someone who commits a complete genocide/ saves a dying race could also gain deific power to some amount and to increase it they would need to perform greater tasks aligning with the prior task...
We should call them swarves now...
Maybe not Iron golems as pets, perhaps something more like lesser mechanoids that serve as pets with Iron Golems being more like guards...
{They all sign a contract of compliance before we start if they use homebrew}
