Filed away under: RP ideas worth considering next RP
As K-blade said, the rogue nature of this RP is one of its primary draws so I think playing an ISD under Pellaeon isn't exactly what the guild wants. Its a good idea for an RP, but it doesn't seem to align that well with the current guild climate. You can't really have a Star Wars Battlestar Galactica or Firefly when you're flying under the Imperial Banner, even in the desperate days of the Imperial Remnant you need to be autonomous.

I think I might just go human this time around. Considering that I'm normally playing the alien, this isn't unreasonable... Probably from Tyferra.

Name: Davro Bel Rank: Captain Age: 36 Gender: Male Race: Human Assignment: Primary Healthcare Provider. Aka, Doctor Main weapon: Cynicism Side weapon: Drugs Short History: Born on Tyferra, Davro Bel was one of the many people who grew up around bacta. Not to be confused with the Bel Family that owns one of the largest corporations known to all the galaxy on the Bacta market, Davro was unconcerned with the production, so much as the application. At the age of 15, he was shipped off to a Carosi XII prep school, and later graduated salutatorian of the year, although this has been a bit of a debate, having lost to a native instead over political issues. The Carosites were avid dissidents of the imperial regime, and a soon-to-be imperialite seemed all the more problematic.
In spite of all these details, Davro enlisted into the Imperial navy, unconcerned about actual political ambitions, instead more keen on keeping people safe. It was due to this apathetic support of the empire that had him regulated over to the Resolve, a notorious ship that held aliens and women in vast quantities compared to it's bretheren ships. While many imperial doctors would have seen this as a downgrade, rarely considering it any more than a place to cure STDs and the occasional bruise, Davro considered it a blessing he was going to wind up treating more than human males all day long. During his tenure aboard the resolve, he has also managed to secure several more qualifications, such as osteopathy, neurology, and dermatology along with an honorary degree in general surgery due to the constant attempts to kill the crew off from his old academy, who with the rising events of the war, have changed their views about the doctor in question.
Description: Work on it later..
Is there an imperial standard uniform for medical staff? I'm not familiar with any.

Captain? Maybe Brevet Captain, but wouldn't Lieutenant Commander be more likely? Or is this the army rank of Captain?

stellarmagic Captain? Maybe Brevet Captain, but wouldn't Lieutenant Commander be more likely? Or is this the army rank of Captain? No, serving in the imperial navy for the last 14 years would probably garner him quite a promotion by normal means.

On a side note: Medical personel often start at the army rank of captains. They do not actually have to wield the commanding authority of the said rank though, and they can be moved up to one star generals throughout their career.
The reasoning behind the current air force ranks, as that's the one i'm familiar with, is due not because of service or whatnot, but to help establish a more correct pay grade, as you do not recieve enlistment bonuses past first lieutenant, if i recall right.
Either way, the rank of the doctor is irrelevant to his command of anything in terms of troops, short of those under his direct control. And considering i just went throughe very wookiepedia entry and copied six pages of terms, drugs, and whatnot, i'm not levied to anything less than commander.
