X was pleased with Oni's laughter and grew more confident with his aproach into meeting her. His posture improved slightly as his thoughts jumped on impressing her.
"...open mind? If this is the kind of stuff that I'll be seeing around here, I'm sure that I can believe you..." X's eyes drew down to the panda bear's childish behavior and caused him to let out a brief chuckle. "Heh... nice to meet you Tetsuo, " X's attention turned toward Oni before slightly bowing respectfully. "...and a pleasure to meet you as well, Oni. My name is X..."

Oni turned in her chair to fully face the stranger, X. She thought that meeting someone new would take her mind off of the weird things that have been happening since she got to Ria: her cousin, the burn, the dreams...
"So tell me about yourself a bit, if you dont mind. What's your reason for coming to Ria High? Hopefully it's not as freaky as my excuse." Oni said rolling her eyes again.

X slightly grinned in response to Oni's question. She was the first person for him to meet in Rai High and already was their conversation growing interesting for him. X smiled as he scratched his head.
"...heh... well, to be honest... I'm not quite sure why I'm here. I guess that I'm just following the path laid before me... 'Gotta' make up for lost time..."he answered, capturing Oni's interested eyes thereafter.
"...I kinda don't remember my past really... all just a blur, aside from the visio-" X caught himself answering Oni's unasked question and quickly dodged his eyes aside.

Oni noticed X stopped in mid-sentence, and figured he hadn't meant to reveal too much to her. She let it pass as if she didn't hear it. "So, would you like something to eat? I was just about to order from the menu. You can have whatever you like, my treat." Oni smiled as she invited X to share the table and picked up Tetsuo to sit on her lap. He had grown bored of playing with the salt and pepper shakers and was busy with the tiny packets of sugar in the middle of the small table. "I want a croissant and hot chocolate!" Tetsuo said looking up toward Oni. She nodded and looked across the table. "So what would you like, X? The menu is at the front of the shop. Choose whatever you like."

X felt comforted by Oni's offer and was beginning to rise in confidence. He sat up and slighty rubbed his stomach while politely shaking his head.
"To be honest... I'm not really that hungry..." he replied, trying not to entice the sense of him taking advantage of Oni's offer. X quickly took a short scan of the room and spotted the common order.
"...I think I'd like some coffee though... I mean... being in a Cafe' and all, heh..." X tried following the request with a meaningless joke in hope of relief from the response to his very first gift from another being. His eyes tried to linger away, but the interesting and cute display portrayed by Oni and Tetsuo seemed apealing.

Oni chuckled a bit before standing. "Okay, you guys wait here and I'll be back." She made her way to the front counter and made the order and paid. She then stood at the counter and waited for the orders to be brought out. She took this moment to secretly look at the stranger. He seemed interesting enough. She was looking forward to spending time with him in Ria. Later she may even take him to meet Bukotsu, whom she had completely forgotten about until that minute. She wondered if he had tried to look for her and passed the thought. "I'm sure he's had enough of me for a while. Besides, he has other classes. He wont miss me." she thought to herself as she collected the food and brought it to the table. She first gave X his coffee, then gave Tetsuo his hot chocolate and croissant. After putting her own food in front of her chair: a bagel with a side of cream cheese and a mug of hot chocolate, she sat down. "Well, dig in everyone!"

X took a sip of the offered coffee then watched in amusement as Tetsuo dug into his croissant with glee. Oni put a bit of her cream cheese and spread it onto her bagel before taking a bite of it. As she did so, X brought his attention to the time.
"...Since this is my first time here, I don't really know my way around..." X took one more quick sip of coffee. " I've got a class in a few minutes and I was wondering if you could show me how to get around..."

Oni chewed and swallowed her bagel before answering. "I can take you anywhere on campus, but finding a teacher may be difficult around here..." Oni remembered her experience with Bukotsu when trying to find his teacher. "Some tour guide I turned out to be... I hate needing to be saved by strangers..." "All I need to know is where you need to go and I'll lead you there, but let's just stay away from the church. I mean, if you need to go there, I can take you as far as the threshold, but I wont be able to go inside with you..." Her voice trailed off as she looked away from X, hoping that her bringing up the subject of the church wouldn't seem weird enough to him to start asking questions. She didnt have any problem answering them, just understanding the situation...

X noticed Oni trailing off and was filled with concern. Although it was entirely none of his business, especially being a guest in someone else's life, his curiousity was nipped. His eyes slightly narrowed at Oni, aimed at his own infracture of being curious, but then with caution. "I mean not to intrude... is there something wrong with the church?..." X asked at first, suddenly catching himself being rude.
"You know what? Never mind about that, forgive me... I am in no place to be in anyone business.... eh... my first class is..." X pulled out a sheet of paper and read it aloud. "... weapons taining..."

Oni was happy that she knew exactly where to go. "Then the training hall is just for you. There's a room specially designed for weapons training. Exactly what weapon do you use?" Oni was finding this young man more interesting. It wasn't until now that she encountered someone who used a weapon like she did. Everyone else she had met fought with their own bodies.

"Room specially designed for weapons training?..."
X took a second to think about his next action, but then felt the need to let his answer be a bit more visual.
"...how about I show you..." He then threw back his coat and slowly pulled out two heavily manifested pistols. "...this, or these are Deliverance... I don't know exactly how they work... but its what I've been given to work with... " X lifted the heavy pistols with ease as he showed his new found friend his tools of offense. "...is this kind of weaponry handled around here?"

Oni's eyes were fixated on the awesome weapons. The design of the pistols was beautiful. She was jealous and embarrased at the fact that she knew nothing about guns. However, she knew that this pair of giant pistols held great power. "Not only is there a room for weapons training, there's a gun range just outside of the Training Hall. Im sure you'll be well suited there..."

"... a gun range... nice... I think that this class will turn out pretty well..." X politely nodded, then put his pistols back to their holsters. As he did so, he relized that the time was passing rather quickly and his Coffee was nearly gone from all of the sips he had taken. His eyes quickly leapt over to Oni's side to see her progress on her own meal.

Oni and Tetsuo had taken their last bites at the same time. Noticing that X had not yet finished his coffee, she sat back in her seat and patiently waited for him to finish. "Personally, Ive never been to the gun range, so I dont know what to expect from it. But, seeing how Ria is put together, from what Ive seen so far, Im sure it will be more than sufficient for you to train in." She caught Tetsuo as he landed in her lap and sat there as if he were a small child. She stroked his head a few times before tidying up their dishes. She stacked the plates together and put their cups on top, leaving X unfinished drink in front of him. Moving the pile to the side of the table, she took a napkin and swept up Tetsuo's crumbs to drop onto the plates. She then moved the plates back in front of herself and resumed stroking Tetsuo's head.

X finished the last of his coffee with one fell gulp and let out a silent sigh of satisfaction. He put his cup respectfully at his end of the table and watched with intrigue at Oni's behavior with Tetsuo. Although it was, as she claimed, her cousin in a plush panda's body, he seemed to have already taken a liking to his form.
"... well then... shall we?" X asked politely as he stood up from the table and pushed in the chair. He threw his dark coat behind him and fixed his scrunched pants before fully achieving comfort, for then he awaited happily with patience as Oni stood as well.
