"I only met that Sabin guy once...but yeah, I 'gree wit'choo there." He shuddered at the thought of the guy; he was pretty damn creepy. Aubrey didn't seem to be that bad, but...she was the one who stuck him with the serum, so he couldn't help but at least resent her for having a part in it.

He nodded in agreement. "Didn't seem to be much mo' we can carry ourselves anyway," he muttered, tromping back down the stairs for what felt to be the dozenth time. "Makes me wonda how they got it all in front o' my door so easy. I ain't seein' that Sabin guy doin' this himself."

"I guess," he said lamely with a shrug. "I ain't seein' no otha vehicles 'round herr otha than the jeep I was brought out in. But I guess they gotta have 'em 'round some place. Too bad dis be an island...I'd just steal a damn jeep and drive out of herr."
He'd done more than his share of car theft back home. He was damn near a pro at it, in all actuality.
As they reached the pile, he sorted through the boxes and found a lighter one for Joliette to carry, then took the second lightest for himself.

"Bastards."
Jamal sighed in frustration at the fact that the Docs were one step ahead of everyone, but somewhere he was holding out hope that one day they would fall behind and the islanders would finally find a way out of this hellhole.
He mutely continued the jaunt back to Joliette's duplex, climbing the stairs slowly as his muscles finally started to complain at him. He was so out of shape and he knew it.

He actually flushed a bit at the mention of things needing to be replaced. "Uh yeah...dat's prolly a good idea," he agreed, giving the light box a very quick look. "And dis time if it shows up at my place, I ain't gonna get nosy and start diggin' 'round."

Since Joliette looked about ready to tear into her new trinkets, he started to slide towards the door. "A'ight, well, I'mma head back to my place then. Gotta pick up some of the mess in there b'fo I can't get inside da door anymo'"

He gave her a stiff nod and a brief wave before heading back outside, walking down the steps for the last time for awhile (at least he hoped) and headed back to his duplex.
