She seemed a little hyper, but okay otherwise. Though Billy couldn't be sure... "Nice to meet you too! And yeah, though I think the only difference between our beds and the floor are the pillows." He replied, laughing a little nervously. Feeling his head again he smiled. "It's not too bad. I don't think it's anything serious, though thanks for asking!" He said, answering her question.

"Well, it seems like we have a free day. I might go out and look around. Want to come?"

His question reminded her of Noel and Jay who went exploring together. She wondered how they were doing. Smiling, she told him, "I would love to! Where should we go?" And she put her finger to her bottom lip, looking up in thought. Let's see, there's the messhall...the campfire...the docks...I haven't been anywhere else. I wonder where else we can go...

"Well, there is the dock, and the campfire, but I haven't been in the woods or on that huge cliff. We could go to either of those if you're not afraid of heights or woods." He didn't want to sound like an idiot, but he could have sworn that was what he was being right now. Blushing a little he thought about hiding himself or starting a dungeon but that would be considered weird. "But I'm up for anything that you want to do."He said, nodding.

I'm only afraid of the dark, so we shouldn't stay out too late, okay? Let's go take a hike. It'll be an adventure!" She said, going to her bunk and jumping up to her bed.

Helena dug through her bag and pulled out a flashlight. "Just in case, you know?" Then she pushed her bag to the far corner of her bed and got off of the bunk. "Ready to go?" she asked him.

Billy nodded in reply after grabbing his bad also. He had brought a book on how to survive in the forest but wasn't too sure it was still in there. And it had been expensive too! "Sure, that's fine with me. And yeah, I'm ready to go. I think I may have a water bottle but I haven't checked yet." He replied, heading to the door. Opening it he held it. "Ladies first."

She stretched her arms and beckoned him to follow. Then she turned and skipped towards the forest.

((hmmm lets just go to the forest in case others want to join..or would you like prp?))

((lol, that's fine.))

Billy nodded said, "You're welcome" and followed after her doing a light jog. He hopped it wouldn't be too humid or anything.

Serena's smile faded a bit. She really didn't want to get anyone involved in her doing. She felt a little stupid for doing what she did but she was happy enough to know that people did enjoy the breakfast. She waved a goodbye to those who left, and sighed a little. Her face held concern. Just because of who she wanted to make everyone happy, she possibly put all of them in danger. She glanced back over her shoulder to the basket. "Maybe if I go to Chef myself and confront this. I wish nothing to happen to my team and being that I did leave a mess enough since I couldn't take the burn anymore, he will know someone was there." She was speaking aloud, plotting her next move. First though, she had to treat these paws before she could do anything. She moved out of the cabin and ended to the showers to run her paws under cold waters. Luckily the burns were minor enough for her to deal with it. Coming back, the female seemed almost sad. Sitting down on her bunk, once again she cleaned off the bottom of her paws and moved to lay down. Maybe relaxing a little, she could figure something out. Sleep came over her until... Something that she had read came to her head and she sat up. Aloe leaves were great for burns! She headed out the door to look for some help with the burns.

Jay returned to the Beavers cabin, pulling out twigs from her hair during the process. It was practically empty, but she hardly paid mind to anything as she walked to her bunk. Most adventures here deemed fruitless, apparently.

The meal Serena cooked up for them was indeed short-lived, as Jay found herself craving another meal. But she hadn't tried Chef's cooking yet. Judging from the barf stink in the Messhall, she didn't want to. But hey, she'd have to eventually. She sighed, about to plop onto her bed when she realized someone else was on it.

"Hey, what are you-" the camper was familiar, "Annabel?! What the hell happened to you?!" Her vision wandered to a much-too-evident sleeping dart and she rolled her eyes, "stupid question around here, isn't it."
PostPosted: Sun Jul 05, 2009 1:50 pm

User Image Groaning as she sat up tiredly in bed, Annabel was definitely out of it. Not the early-morning-just-slept-really-out-of-it, but... out of it. Had she not been the type to avoid detrimental behavior (in public, anyway,) this might've compared to waking up in someone else's bed, hungover and confused as hell.

Well, somehow she'd gotten into Jay's bed, the only question was how. To the best of her memory, she couldn't recall getting into bed, so nicely tucked in... no, that wasn't right at all. Furrowing her brow as she rubbed her temples, the punk tried desperately to fit things together. She'd been in the woods- there was SOMETHING she'd been going after, too. The crash, and the growling... and then, somehow, she'd been here. But... how?

Still desperately attempting to dispel the headache that'd fallen her,she winced painfully when someone- Jay...?- began talking loudly at her. It'd taken her a moment to register the other's words, still horribly out of her right mind, and she blearily blinked at the radioactive Audio.

"Sleeping dart...?" She grumbled tiredly, still unable to focus entirely. Looking desperately at herself in an attempt to find it, she pouted heavily.

" 'm tired of being drugged.." Annabel mumbled, drowsiness still overtaking her body. But.. but the woods..

RIGHT. THE WOODS. Managing to sober slightly, she looked up to Jay in mild horror.

"The forest!" She hissed, hands finally dropping from her temples as she snapped. "They're hiding something there. Th-there were cameras. Not just hidden ones, but. Security. Everywhere. And there was something growling and snarling, and mechanical. I was going to go find it, and..."

This was not good. The more and more Annabel was connecting of her adventure, the less and less she liked it.

"..And then I blacked out. They darted me."

Jay watched Annabel regain a groggy state of consciousness, paws strained to help but not wishing to upset the audio futher. She was pretty pissed. Another sigh left Jay's lips; Chris always had to go and play his pranks on them all. "That sadistic little b*****d..."

And then Annabel shot up, instantly talking about something of importance. The forest... Hiding? Top-security?! Whoa, this was starting to sound like a mystery! Cool!

But Annabel got hurt in the process of unveiling a key clue. Not cool. Jay sat down by her, quickly pulling out the dart (where she failed to do this earlier). Who knew what crap it could still be leaking into her body.

Jay was only half-listening to Annabel now, studying the dart closer. She caught the key words: something, snarling, mechanical, blacked out... Sure enough, the dart had tiny initials stamped onto it: 'Property of CM'. Three guesses who. Another rolling of the eyes was called for.

The commotion intrigued Ratchet enough to crawl out from under her bed. She hadn't felt up to leaving the cabin that morning; she'd felt rather stick to her stomach, probably from the pancakes that seemed toxic to 'most everybody but her. Instead, she'd busied herself with making a list of the tools she lost, writing down their proper names, a good description of them, their make, model, and, in some cases, their serial number. After she'd finished with that, she'd immediately gone around to the empty beds and made a number of minor repairs. Several of the beds had loose nails or screws that were in at a bad angle, and almost all of them needed a good sanding. She'd have to nick some sandpaper from someplace. Her own bed had two loose slats, which she managed to secure by pounding them into place. She was debating going and gathering some wood to make a makeshift changing area, for the more modest Audios who were perturbed by the coed housing, when the interns came in. Figuring that she wasn't supposed to be beating the already rickety beds with a hammer, Ratchet ducked back under hers as they tucked Annabel into the wrong bed. Figuring she'd gotten sick, as she was asleep, Ratchet continued to do a little fix-it-up work while she was down there, albeit quietly. Now it seemed though, that Annabel hadn't been sick; she'd been... attacked. By something mechanical. And she'd been darted for it. Something was really wrong here. Popping out from under the bed, she walked over to where Jay was helping Annabel. "Jay, is she ok?" She didn't want to make Annabel strain any more. Who knew what she'd been tranquilized with... as an afterthought, she peered at the dart in Jay's paw. "Do you mind if I have a look at that?

Jay smiled up at Ratchet, one of her favorites on their team. Something about the girl was loveable! "Sure thing, here," And, using the proper "safety" measures they taught you when handing over scissors and knives, offered Ratchet the dart, shaft-side out.

"I believe it's Chris' or Chef's or the Island's in general. Probably the same as we had in us when we woke up on the Docks." Not that Jay paid much attention to that thing... Tossed it right into the lake.

User Image "I'm fine, for now," Annabel sighed quietly, closing her eyes and rubbing at the spot where the dart had been. Well, fine wasn't exactly the word, but she wasn't going to make her cabinmates worry. Not over something this trivial, anyway. The headache... she assumed that would fade with due time, as would the drowsiness. For now, she was going to try and relax, and stay in bed.

Speaking of...

"Hey, Jay? Just for the afternoon, could I crash in your bunk?" She asked, opening her eyes to look at the other.

"I'd go off to my own, but I've still got a splitting headache, and I don't know how well I could climb the ladder. I should be better in a little while, but.. I don't quite wanna start moving yet, y'know?"

Annabel watched as Ratchet asked for the dart, raising a questioning brow- then instantly regretted it, a throb of pain answering her for her doubting actions. Taking a paw to her temples again, she resumed the rubbing, praying to whatever god existed to make her headache dull and her body lose its soreness.

"Rat b*****d's gotten me twice. I swear to god, I hate this ******** place. I hate Chris, I hate this camp... what the hell is WRONG with the people who WATCH this, anyway!?" giving a snarl of her own- not quite as terrifying as the mechanical beast's, but frightening in its own right, she slammed a hand against the bedpost.

"I swear to god, I am going to KILL that little b*****d of a host. I KNOW he's behind this, and I'm just going to kill him!"

Whirling to look around the cabin, Annabel snarled in anger once more.

"I KNOW YOU'VE GOT CAMERAS RIGGED UP IN HERE, CHRIS. AND MARK MY WORDS, YOU HAVE NEVER HAD SOMEONE LIKE ME HATE YOU BEFORE. I WILL GET YOU BACK FOR ALL OF THIS! I WILL!"

And then she groaned once more, falling back into her shell.

"I'm just... I hate this place. This whole stupid place is just... STUPID."

"Thanks!" Ratchet smiled as she gingerly took the dart from Jay. "Their use of tranquilizers on us can't be safe. I'm going to assume that they use generic doses; it doesn't seem like them to mix it with water or something to dilute the narc. And if somebody tiny gets hit with a full dose..." She trailed off as she examined the dart. It was a simple dart, just a plastic barrel with a sharp needle on the end and a tuft of red flight feathers for stabilization. It wasn't the sort of dart that could bring down a rhino, but it still looked too large to be using willy-nilly on Audiow. She held it to her ear and shook it slightly. "This still has a good bit of the sedative in it. Must have hit her at an awkward angle... I vote we keep it... if there's dangerous stuff wandering in the woods or in the water- I know there's sharks... this might come in handy. We just need to make sure everybody knows it's here and doesn't stick themselves accidentally." A thought crossed her mind. "I wonder where it came from... I know they have cameras everywhere, but are there people following us, too?" This camp was getting creepier and creepier by the minute. And speaking of creepy- Annabel was right. There were probably cameras rigged up in here, too. In a bit, she was going to go out gathering supplies to build a changing area. They were all minors, after all.
