I have seen both of the Yu Yu Hakusho movies as well.
*borrowed The Poltergeist Report DVD from her friend* For a while, I had Poltergeist Report, Japanese with Subtitles, on my compy but it got a virus, so I had to do a system restore...which deleted the file with the movie on it. cry After a while, like....half a year or so, I borrowed the DVD from my friend Tyler because I had never seen the English version. I like the English better than the Japanese....mostly cause I can understand what they are saying. sweatdrop Yeah, the voices were a little off, but that's okay. At least the plot was good. And....I got to see Kurama mostly naked too. heart Heh...I'm a Kurama fan, what can I say? sweatdrop
As for the first one...well....it kinda stunk. While there was a plot, it wasn't much of one and it was too short to be called a movie. -_-; Only 20 minutes or so.

I own both movies. I watched the Poltergeist Report first, before I bought the YYH Movie I. I thought it was so awsome. Nekkid Kurama!!! It was excellent to my taste. Especially when Hiei fought that demon on the buildings (I haven't watched in 2..3 years? I forgot the demon's names).
One day, I was digging through the discount DVD's to see if there was any anime in there, because, sometimes I find interesting things in there. Then I found gold, I held up the Yu Yu Hakusho Movie! Only $5!!! I bought it instantly and watched it happily for an hour. At the end, I was found in the middle of the street unconscious with a truck nearby that had a huge dent on the front. (Alright, that never happened, I just sat there in awe XD) And said "That movie SUCKED."
Their voices were TERRIBLE. The only thing I liked out of that DVD, was the trailers for Rurouni Kenshin and Magical Knight Rayearth. I LIIIKKKEDDD THE ENGLISH SONG FOR MKR O_O

I've seen Poltergeist Report and own both the Japanese and English versions of it. I think I've seen the other movie but I'm not sure....what was it about again?

i have both movies i like the 2nd one better though which is the one with kuronue.. and yes i l don't like the dubs that much i like always watch it in japanese if i watch the movie xd i love their japanese voices ^_^

The second one with kuronue was boring.. it also was dubbed WAY to quickly and had shiity voice actors...

Both movies sucked if you watched it in dub.
But it kicks a** if you watched it in the orginal japanese format.

I havent' seen the 20 minute one but i DID see poltergeist report...
Kurama sounded close and i could handle Hiei, I also could handle botan and even Kuwabara's voice....
But every time Yusuke opened his big mouth i wanted to jump into the tv and kick him in the face!! his voice was the WORST!!!!
and every time they said "Kuwahara" i yelled "KUWABARA MORONS!!"
yeah... when i watch tv, i interact with it....

I thought the dubbed version of BOTH movies sucked... >_< I mean, there's sooooo many mistakes, all mentioned by those who have already posted here.
The voices sucked, and I was really use dto the version by FUNimation and the original Japanese, hearing those voices sucked, and I was just a newbie of YYH show by like 8mths!!! Even I knew that it sucked...the swearing was going out of line too. Yusuke says damn soooo stoopidly I hated it. Their ending theme "Never say Goodbye" or Sayonara wa Iwanai was pretty good. I also liked the ending.

Ya, I'm wondering why FUNimation doesn't won both versions like the original version does. I mean, DBZ owns all of the episodes and the movies, so why not YYH? ...and don't say its bc it was made in Japan. lol sweatdrop
