There was no need for discussion.
Musica knew exactly what to do as soon as he saw the vile situation.
Instinct's kicking in immedeatly, Musica rushed the grunts surrounding Raikou, taking down the first pack by ramming his shoulder against them.
Reaching towards his belt, he quickly retrieved his newest addition, pressing it's Poke Ball to enlarge it, and tossed it in the air releasing
Jon' Cloude.
"Let's go, Jon'Cloude! Show these fool's what happen's when they act without thinking!"
He cried, a animal like grin on his face as he glared at the grunts, who were now cowering and glaring back.
Their attempts to be intimidating had no effect on Musica.
Having been an assassin, Musica had no fear.
He had kicked into his animalistic mode, taking down what ever evil may challenge him.

A blinding light for an instant, and the Absol was released from it's ball for the first time.
Once released, it paused for just a moment, adament piercing eye's blinked open.
Raising his head high, Jon'Cloude glared at the grunts, ready for justice to be exercised.

Tank knew his part as well.
Though he was still Musica's rental, he too knew that he must do something.
It would be inappropriate if he didn't.
His little paw's scraped against the ground as he scurried over to the netted Raikou from being perched upon Musica's shoulder.
Since Musica and Jon'Cloude had the Grunt's distracted, Tank could work without being noticed.
Cautiously, he sniffed at Raikou, receiving only a light 'murr' of exhaled air. Electricity sputtered at random time's, but quickly started to die down. The legendary dog's eye's stared at Tank unblinking, as though he were reading the little mouse's thoughts.
A silent agreement seemed to be passed, as the Raikou laid still, it's glossy amber gem eye's softened, a sign of relief as the small rodent gripped parts of the netting in it's dainty little paws.
Tank quickly began to use Super Fang, numerous times on the netting, slowly weakening it's weave.

Jon'Cloude lept effortlessly around the frazzled Grunt's who were trying to re-capture him.
Most of the bumbling idiots would trip over each other in attempt to lunge at the agile Absol.

Being ganged up on, Musica remaind unphased, locked in trance that was not to be shaken.
Saving his energy as much as possible, he let the Grunt's do most of the work, by taking swings at him, while he dodged, allowing Grunt's behind him to be struck insted.
A pleased grin on his face, Musica melee'd at least four Grunt's at once, wearing them out while his own endurance was quite high.
Adrenaline pumped through his veins. Coarsing. Racing.
Calling out towards his new ally, Musica yelled "Hit 'um with a Razor Wind!"
whilst knocking out two Grunt's.

Keeping a calm demenor, Jon'Cloude targeted onto a group of twelve Grunt's, a wind starting to pick up from seemingly no where.
They grin cynically, and begin to dive towards the Absol.
Gripping the ground below him, Jon'Cloude stands his ground, a lashing wind starting to pick up.
As the Grunt's reach towards him, the Absol leap's at them, a bone-cutting blade of wind slashing at them as Jon'Cloude pushes past them.
The Grunt's cry out loudly as they are whiped by the vicious current.
Landing gracefully on the opposite side of the Grunt's, Jon'Cloude looked to the next wave.

Only a meesly fourteen Grunt's remained.
They were huddled in a dense group, all trying to stay 'cool' and 'tough', gritting their teeth and cursing under their breath.
Shouting what they couldn't back up.
They would constantly keep pushing one another to the front of the pathetic pack, trying to get to the back for as much safety as possible.
Musica advanced towards them at a slow pace, waiting for Jon'Cloude to join his side, it's eye's glued to the Grunt's, an auroa seeming to emite from it as it comitted a fermenting attack that would foreshadow the Grunt's demise.
He smiled, as a hunter would when cornering it's prey.
A low chuckle rumbled in Musica's throat.
"You idiot's have no idea what you've done.. and now.. you'll pay for your ignorance.." his aquamarine eye's narrowed to slit's as he stood glaring at them.
"Jon'Cloude! Double Team!"

Instantly the Absol became numerous, all standing at Musica's side, poised at the distraught Grunt's.
At the exact same time, they rushed the Grunt's, running around the little cluster, rounding them up like cattle.

"Now, hit 'um with a Slash! Tear'um up!" Musica called out, as the Absol trapped the low-life's.

As soon as Musica called out the attack the herding was commenced into an impaling formation as the circle concaved in, Absol's darting around Slashing the yelling Grunt's. Once done, the Absol retreated to Musica's side as one, staring at the Grunt's.

Smiling, pleased with his new Pokemon's work, Musica stroked Jon'Cloude's head proudly.
"Nice work.." he praised.
The Grunt's laid, grunting and moaning as some would attempt to rise.
An instant later some sort of unseen force struck the Grunt's causing them to strike up a harmonic cord of pain. as the Future Sight finished the job.

Walking away, Jon'Cloude at his side, he was pleased to see that Tank had done his job of disposing of the net, allowing Raikou to stand freely.
The beautiful creature's caped mane billowing in a mute breeze.
It stared at Musica, warm look in it's eye's.
Musica smiled, and reached for a ball at his hip.
"If I may, Raikou.. I would love to be the one who keep's you safe from the evil out there.. Alway's and forever.."
And with that he tossed a ball at Raikou.

POKEBALL GO!!
PostPosted: Mon Jun 29, 2009 2:04 pm

For several seconds, Grace stood dumbstruck. She and Rebecca wore near-identical expressions of disbelief. The creature was huge! Neither of them had ever seen its like before, and though Grace hadn't the faintest idea what it was she knew it was something special. If anything needed two dozen Rockets to subdue it, it was obviously fairly powerful - and, by the same token, they should clearly be prevented from using it for their nefarious purposes.

"...If that's what those Electrike things eventually turn into," Grace finally said, reaching for the other Pokéball, "I want one. Okay, whoever's in here - time to wake up!"

She tossed the Pokéball to the ground, releasing the creature inside -

"Chaaaar..."

- and blinked at the rather dazed Charmander now sitting by her feet. Well, at least it wasn't attacking her. "Come on, you," she said, reaching down to give it an encouraging pat. "We're all in a state, but we need to do something about these Rockets. They've got that big...thing in a net and we have to get it out."

On cue, the huge yellow beast gave a terrible roar of pain and fury. One or two of the Rockets leaped back, yelping - their net wasn't absorbing all of its power, it seemed. They'd probably just got nasty shocks. Grace's eyes narrowed. Serve them right. No Pokémon deserved to be treated that way, no matter its size or power. Thinking fast, Grace did her best to come up with a plan. Oh, if only she had Khash here to be huge and intimidating!

...Intimidating...

"Rebecca, see if you can give them a fright - scare a few into running," she said to the Gastly, who made a sound of agreement. "If that doesn't work...I'm sure both of you know your strongest attacks better than I do."

Her expression was grim. It was a rare occasion when she'd order a Pokémon to turn on a human, but desperate times called for desperate measures. And if any human had it coming, it was these Rockets.

"Give 'em hell."

Leaving the two Pokémon to their tasks, she marched over to the pair of fools who were frantically searching through the cart of Pokéballs and tapped one of them on the shoulder. When he turned, she was smiling at him.

"Thank you."

She slammed the heel of her hand into his jaw. He staggered. Her smile vanished. "I don't believe in attacking people from behind," she explained, kicking him swiftly in the stomach and watching him crumple with cold satisfaction. "I'm sure you don't agree, but that doesn't mean I have to sink to your level..."

The other Rocket, who was larger, shook himself out of his astonished daze and charged at her with an angry shout. As her boot snapped up to connect with his crotch, she hoped the two Pokémon were having as much luck with their own battles...

***

Some way away, Rebecca had just popped suddenly into view a few feet above the fallen Raikou's head. She knew exactly what was at stake here, and was not about to let this outrage continue. Putting on her best Scary Face, she darted towards the largest clump of Rockets and yelled "BOO!" at the top of her lungs. Several of them fled. As she turned to face the other way, grinning madly, many of the ones behind her began to back away.

"You bloody cowards!"

One of the Rockets, perhaps some sort of leader, cursed and shook his fist after his escaping comrades. Fine, thought Rebecca to herself. Clearly somebody needs a bit more persuading!

He was too busy cursing at his underlings to notice the Shadow Ball forming. When it hit, he flew several feet and skidded across the floor. Encouraged, Rebecca rounded on his closest neighbour.

"Who's next?"

Though the Rockets couldn't understand her speech, they certainly grasped the sentiment. As one, they turned and ran. The one brave (or foolish) one who didn't was treated to an Ember in the rear from the little Charmander, and soon charged off, yelping, in the direction of the nearest body of water.

"Wow. Whatever happened to Stop, Drop and Roll?" the Charmander snarked, rolling his eyes and extending his claws. "I'll cut through this net now. I think Raikou's still too tangled to esc- eeek!"

He'd just found himself face to face with a very grumpy Raikou. The legendary beast Roared at him, sending him scurrying to hide back inside the door, and struggled inside the net. It was, as the Charmander had said, too tangled to escape. "Foolish mortals!" it howled. "You will pay for this outrage! All of you will pay!"

Rebecca, frightened but determined, stood her ground and looked the beast in the eye. "Please, Raikou - stop this! We can't cut through the net if you don't stop electrifying it!"

A bolt of lightning escaped the net's dampening effect - not a strong one, but strong enough. Rebecca, already tired, was almost knocked unconscious by the force of it. Feeling herself drift towards the ground, everything aching, she tried one last resort.

"Look at my eyes, great Raikou," she said quietly, her eyes beginning to glow as she started Hypnosis. "Shut out the world and concentrate on the sound of my voice. You are safe. We have come to free you. Relax for me. Be calm. Take slow, deep breaths. Calm and relaxed. Breathe in...breathe out. Breathe in...breathe out." Gradually the Raikou's breathing began to slow in response to her commands. "Good. Relax and be calm. Now...I need you to stop creating electricity for me. Will you do that?"

The Raikou took a deep breath and softly answered, "...yes."

Rebecca gave a sigh of relief. Out of the corner of her good eye, she could see the Charmander creeping back towards them. "Thank you, mighty Raikou. We are here only to help you. Do you understand?"

"...yes."

"Good. Stop the electricity...now."

The crackling subsided, and the net fell loosely around the Raikou's body. Rebecca began to smile wearily. "Thank you, Raikou. This Charmander is also your friend; he will cut the net now. Do not hurt him. Do you understand?"

"...yes."

With his sharp claws, the little Charmander set to work cutting the net at its weakest points. Soon it was weakened enough for the Raikou to break free. Rebecca smiled. "The net is weak now, great Raikou. You will be able to break free. I will count down from five to one, and when I get to "one" you will no longer be hypnotised. You will remember everything that has happened, and everything that I have asked you to do. You will remember that the trainers and Pokémon here are all victims of Team Rocket, and are your friends. Do you understand?"

The Raikou's great head nodded slowly. "...yes."

"Good." Rebecca didn't want to celebrate yet, but it certainly seemed like she'd cracked it. "Five...four...three...two...one."

Blinking, the Raikou looked around at the weakened net and stood up easily, the few remaining cords bursting to let it step free. Its eyes narrowed as it looked at Rebecca. "You have done a very bold thing in hypnotising me, little Gastly," it rumbled. "But you did it for good reasons, and so I shall not punish you for being so audacious. Tell me where the Rockets went and we shall be on good terms again."

"Most of them went that way, uh, sir," the Charmander piped up, pointing to the most common route of escape. "Would you give 'em a Thunderbolt for me?"

The beast gave a low, rough chuckle. "I shall see what I can do, little Charmander. But first, I shall give them a good number for me." Its expression grew serious as it regarded the pair. "...You are both good and brave Pokémon," it said solemnly, "and I wish you luck in all your battles. For now, farewell - may the North Wind speed you on your way!"

With a mighty roar, the Raikou raced off after the already vanished Rockets. Rebecca hoped it would catch them and teach them a painful lesson.

"You did it, 'Becca!"

That was all the warning Rebecca got before Grace pulled her into what passed for a hug. Noticing the Charmander's expression of alarm, Rebecca grinned down at him. "Don't worry," she reassured him. "She's safe. Her name's Grace, and she's going to be your Trainer from now on."

"And you!"

The Charmander, too, was swept up into a hug. Though he looked startled, he also looked pleased - particularly when Grace kissed him on the head and called him a hero.

"I think I can cope with that," he said.

Tygress Dream

Beloved Shapeshifter

PostPosted: Mon Jun 29, 2009 3:01 pm

Tygress could hardly believe what she saw. "Poor Raikou... what are these fools doing?"
Beside her Peanut growled, her fur bristling and crackling. Tyg looked the luxio amazed, she'd never seen her sweet playful friend so angry. What had happened to them all? The watcher hadn't quite realized just how time had passed.
The appearance of the group of trainers and pokemon drew the attention of the rockets distracting a few of those reenforcing the net holding the legendary down. If it wasn't for the fact that the net was drawing the energy of Raikou's attacks and the protective gloves they would have been fried by such distraction. They were wearing gloves but oddly no other protection from electric attacks.
Tygress exchanged a look with Peanut who was already Charging for a strong electric attack.

The confused Rockets were yelling to each other none seeming to know just what to do. A few called on their own pokemon, a couple ran. The two digging through the pokeballs seemed oblivious.
As Tyg took in the situation trying to plan an attack, nerves struck Attack what am I thinking I'm a watcher I dont' battle... I... Then she looked at Raikou, she couldnt' leave the magnificent legendary trapped. "We have to do something," she said aloud with a desisive nod.

"Hey look I found one!" one of the searching grunts called out proudly holding up a masterball.

No time to waste then. The annoucenment grabbed the attention of everyone and Peanut and Tygress raced forward. Tyg ran and tackled the grunt knocking the pokeball free from his hand while Peanut called on a Thunderbolt directing it at the circle of Rockets that had assembled to protect their prize. Electricity sizzled through the air paralyzing some in the process. Enough were off of the net now that Raikou was able to throw off the net and stood with a thunderous roar a shockwave going out to paralyze those that the luxio's attack misssed.

That seemed to be the last of the great legendary's energy and he slumped to the ground look at the assembled trainers and pokemon that like him had been captured and were now free. Tygress rejoined Peanut, the Masterball in her hand. She had a thought but... it seemed almost wrong to do so but .. Raikou was so weak and after the effort to free him she doubted the assembled pokemon had the power to help recharge him.

"Raikou, I don't know if there are other dangers out there right now," she said and looked at the masterball, "but you'd be safe inside here. I promise, and Peanut can vouch for me, to free you when its safe... "
"Lux... luxiioo, (indeed she can be trusted)."
"Its your choice though..."
I will trust you human and you brave luxio. Thank you...
