I did like how Sam was "infected" by the Allspark. I mean, that was a storyline directly inspired by events from the old Marvel comic run.

Mylian I did like how Sam was "infected" by the Allspark. I mean, that was a storyline directly inspired by events from the old Marvel comic run. i know know just what your talking about, but shia labeouf could have done a better job of acting crazy(and in general) you can see hes trying so hard and dozint know what hes tring to do, and again we can blame bay for this he was the director

Okay, I made a final rant. ENJOY.
Crappy Plot Okay, the whole purpose of the first movie was totally screwed over in the second movie. Megatron is not dead, the allspark is not gone (nor is it the only form of reproduction and apparently they are do have genders). How did the protoforms come online without the all spark? Does anyone else get the mental image of Starscream watching over the hatchlings like a bird with eggs? Why does Jetfire have a mother and a father? I thought they didn't have genders! Why does Wheelie hump Mikeala's leg to express his loyalty?
OH GOD humping to express loyalty luls are now mandatory.
or ...is that how they reproduce? Optimus' wang would be at least the size of a person, to put things into perspective. There's a scary thought for you... I know have a sick, sick mind. Love me yet? ;D
Anyway, continuity is totally screwed over. Plots that make sense are for losers! ...GO SUCK A RAILROAD SPIKE! + 20 points if you get this reference. Revenge of the lolin'!
Sexism Firstly; The only women in the movie are either psychos, on drugs, or sluts. Sorry, Megan Fox. Breakdown; Alice - crazy alien robot. This sums character up perfectly. Kiss this, huh? Judy - she spends most of the movie as a comic relief character, but she finally gets a serious scene in this movie. I give her props for always finding something to weild. ;D Mikeala - eye candy squared. She does some fairly significant things, but she could do them with a bit more clothing. She spends most of the movie pining after Sam like a sexy kicked puppy. Blatantly objectified by Wheelie, who humps her leg shamelessly. She is a sex object, lusted after by Sam, the straight male audience members, Reggie Simmons and Wheelie. Her acting is poor, all form and no passion. Arcee - gets little screen time, hated by Micheal Bay, presumably dead by the end of the movie. Some what confusing design. Are they three seperate robots (each of them were given names, for goodness sake, though not mentioned in the movie...) or just one mind in three bodies?
Summary - Women seem to get the short end of the stick in the TF verse. I can see why there are no femmes left.
Racism; The stereotypes of the twins, Mudflap and Skids. They have gold teeth, they can't read (that one actually made me angry), they swear blatantly and use very "street" slang. I'm surprised they didn't ask for a gang bang... That's a black stereotype if I ever saw one, never mind Jazz. At least Jazz radiated cool. 8D
Other; The homophobia is palpable. This film displays all of the tact, intellect and decency of a locker room full of pubescent boys. Ball jokes and all. I really think this movie tried to be too many things at once and just... failed. It wasn't particularly engaging or moving at all, really.
Random: -Jetfire's father was the first ever wheel and transformed into nothing with dignity! His mother humped a wheel. That explains some things. -Barricade was suppose to be slagged by Optimus shortly after he decaptitates Bonecrusher, but unfortunately that was only mentioned in the script and not put into the first movie. - Okay, transformers have been here for hundreds, probably thousands of years.... How did nobody notice this? They had a massive, giant robot filled battle over the energon machine and matrix, why did no one notice this? There would be robo parts and explosions everywhere! When there was only horse and by foot travel, would people not notice giant robots chillin' like villains in plain sight? - The Autobot Sideswipe was originally going to be called Hot Rod... I have mixed feelings about this. - The NEST Team member arm patch says "If I told you, I'd have to kill you". Neat, huh? - The "three kings" stars of Orion's belt were supposed to mark the location of the hidden tomb of the Primes, as seen at sunrise from the Dagger's Tip. But stars are at a slightly different point in the sky at sunrise each day, so they could not accurately point the way to the tomb at sunrise except on one day each year. No date was specified in the clue.
Rant o'doom over.
*also, if something doesn't quite fit into the guild's guidelines, PM me and I'll fix it up ASAP... I'm not online more then once a week, so ASAP might honestly be a while. Dx

You watched that Revenge of the Lolin' flash too, Steal? YES! Somebody else watched it! Woo! "Oh YES, Megatron, hit me again, it's SOOOOO GOOOOOD!"
Yeah, Bay did get those scenes between Megatron and Starscream correct. The rest I saw was EXPLOSIONS and mechanical limbs flailing around. I had no idea what was up from down... but I like explosions and action, so if I feel like watching both at the same time, I'll just watch TF2 again... or I could just play Rampage: Total Destruction and make my own. XD

Jetfire's references to things like his dad being the first wheel are obviously intended to be "when I was your age" style old fogy exaggerations. The fact that anyone would even ironically or sarcastically attempt to analyze them as an actual reference to anything of Cybertronian society boggles me.
And of course people noticed the giant robots, but would they have any idea what a robot WAS then? They would have just called them gods or monsters and any reference to them in any historical context would simply be blown off by any modern researcher as mythology.

BogiePop the Racism is simple there wiggers the stereotype thing is hard to get my head around cuz ive seen more white ppl ack like that then blacks. homophobia please elaborate. If they had anything even remotely homosexual (barring the weird dynamic between Simmons and Leo), s**t WOULD HIT THE FAN. This is an all american, gaint robot fighting show! You're ruining my childhood, you communist - this is an example of the fine rants that would be sent. Not all the people who watch the movie will be educated (all american? pffft) about the TF franchise beyond the movies or geewun, so you can imagine the delight that would occur if they did slip in a homosexual relationship. I could bet there would even be death threats, if the movie went far enough south. (double entendre oh bby~) Besides, in what continuity was there ever a homosexual relationship, besides in fannon? Fannon is great, but nothing tangible. Besides, Bay's already proven he's sexist and racist, so I doubt he'll ever be that open minded. If he ever did include it, it would probably be very stereotypical and mocking... I'd rather he didn't, really. People came to see robot ASPLOSIONS! and Mikeala's tits, not to have personal epiphanies. I very much doubt anyone will see this movie and think "Being gay is ok, because Optimus says so!" c=

BogiePop anyone elce notist in the fight with black out when did primes swords tern into hooks? I just notice Optimus being a massive killing machine. The worst portrayal of a hero and leader. What a horrible message for little kids - to be a leader, a great one, you have to kill all that gets in your way as long as they are "evil". To steal_this_username, I'm sure someone wants to have Optimus's babies even if it's 1 story high lol!

I'm sorry, but I can't take anyone seriously who says this movie is bad.
Whereas the first movie had scenes based on the G1 movie, the second had an entire plotline based on the episodes and half the lines were right from the series.
I think anyone who says that movie was bad needs to seriously review Season 1.
The only complaint I have is that the other Autobots didn't get a lot of screentime.
But that was the same in the first movie.
All I can say is, at least they made a second movie.
They could've just said, "Screw you fans, buy more toys."
Are you there?

He blatantly executed Devastator (whoever the heck it was that had 2 massive wheels and a terribly awkward body) when stabbed him in the head. Devastator was unable to fight back! What a cruel thing to do... Same when he took the fallen's face off. Holy crap.He mutilated Bonecrusher's face (and offscreen, Barricade) to death in the first movie too. D: "IT'S A-O.K. GUY'S, HE'S EVIIIIL." /does horrible things/ um wat? I feel like they kind of... ruined his character. It did demonstrate the kind of damage he could inflict, though. It would have been too easy for him to really mutilate them. Compared to Megatron, he's been doing pretty light stuff. /shudders at the thought of having flesh slowly torn off/ ;~; ....I kinda smelt Nemesis Prime, actually. It reminded me of him.
