Blue Star... so I got a hypergiant star that will become Cale's star in just a bit (Astronomically speaking of course). Hope the fleet isn't around when that happens.
Oh crud... Cale's gonna figure out a way to cause a super-nova just cause I said that isn't he?

But yeah, this works as a good foundation for it. We can make a separate thread for the development of the systems. For now, maybe we should get back to plot and settings.

Name for the Sector and Name for the RP...
Tough one not really coming up with anything for the sector's name. Perhaps I could think on the RP name.
Law and Honor Sector Ablaze Leading the Way Between Giants
...Ugh no good there.

stellarmagic Lol, they're more common than anyone thinks. The third closest solar system to earth contains a black hole. No, it was just a Black Hole. No star, planets, or anything. Just a black hole. Here are a couple planet generators too, by the way. This will help go in depth on the worlds you create. http://www.wizards.com/starwars/planet_gen.asp# http://www.rancorpit.com/planetGenerator.shtml

Des Voh But yeah, this works as a good foundation for it. We can make a separate thread for the development of the systems. For now, maybe we should get back to plot and settings. The systems are the setting. The plot is this: Its the age of the New Republic. Currently, theres peace in this sector but it is a tenuous one as both the Republic and the Empire have territory and are looking for more. Neither side wants to actively engage the other for fear of setting off a massive conflict, but both sides want the other's territory and want to persuade the neutral worlds to ally with them. Drop into this powderkeg a criminal organization that sees profit in the heightened tension and, even worse, a terrorist network out to promote anarchy.

Best way to describe it is there's a lull because both sides have either exhausted themselves or overreached. Along the front there's a mutual understanding between captains that so long as they stay on their side there will be no fighting. The front is stable due to a mutual refusal by captains to engage the other without being ordered to do so, and so forth...
Neutral worlds in the sector likely have taken a wait and see approach to the Imperial-New Republic conflict... some may have declared independence since the fall of Coruscant years earlier and want nothing to do with the conflict whatsoever since then. The rule of these neutral worlds could be highly variable between militant dictates to representative democracies. Some may be single system fiefdoms for warlords and the like.

The question is: Who will gain dominance in the Sector? The Empire? The New Republic? Will the sector become independent of Galactic Politics? Be mired down by a powerful criminal empire? Or will anarchy burn across the stars?

Good question. I think with the character arc I'm thinking off the System will slide New Republic after the events of the RP, but I think that any gains the Republic gets here would be reversed a year later when Thrawn returned.

You know, the agent of evil trying to promote all out war between the Republic and Empire. wink

I like Cale's plot idea and the thought of making our own sector (although I will be limited in helping with that, I don't really have the time). As for a character: I am going with an ex-Imperial Intel agent. (Or is he...?)

I considered being a baragwin. But... I actually want to be able to sell my stuff to places other than a black market.
You think I could learn the trade secrets of a baragwin, though?

I'm going with the character ideas I made a while ago.
A Jedi Shadow that uses a lightwhip and lightdagger combo. A Sith ( Or Sith-aligned, at least ) seductress like Siren, but more bloodthirsty, that's Cale's mistress/wench/whatever. Nemesis is still hanging around, but she's mostly playing mentor to the Shadow and acting as her go-between for the Council.
