Sora just walked around thouroughly enthused by the robots, "I've never seen anything like this before..." He said walking the halls untill he heard footsteps, he peared around the corner and looked over at edge out on the balcony. "They made it through the falling rocks and debris ok!" thought to himself happily as he hid again behind the wall, he was happy they made it and were safe but still was to shy to show himself.

User ImageEdge turned around, swaring he felt eyes on him for a moment. He scanned the surroundings, looking for the source of the sense, but found nothing. "Hmmm..." He turned around and looked out over the valley, letting himself tense up a bit just in case.

(occ: I’ll help out wink )

When Edge pretended to be thinking, Dalcia rolled her eyes. What an annoying human. His acceptance of her declaration to stay surprised her. She had thought that he would have at least opposed her a little. Well, she thought, they probably need all the help they can get. It’s not like they can actually win…whatever they’re doing. Lost in thoughts, Dalcia hadn’t realized Edge had left until she noticed him walking towards the balcony. Bored, and needing a bit of a distraction, she followed him jogging a little to catch up since he was already at his destination.

Dalcia came and stood next to Edge. Looking over at him, she noticed how tense he was, “What’s the…” At that moment, Dalcia felt it, too. The spine-tingling, hair-raising sensation of being watched embraced her. She, however, tried to show no outward sign of discomfort all too aware of probing eyes. Closing her eyes, her ears perked and caught the sound of someone breathing by a wall. Sniffing the air, she realized that there was indeed a person watching them, and he had the smell of a demon.

Dalcia inconspicuously slipped out one of her daggers from where it had been hidden in her clothing. Then too fast for someone to react, Dalcia was standing in front of the demon. Her dagger was poised near but not touching his throat as a growl erupted deep from her throat. “Who are you and what are you doing here?” she snarled her voice low but clearly heard. Her glaring eyes suggested caution for she had no qualms with slitting his throat there and then.

Noswald's capital of Mekroth had always been a thriving center of commerce and technology.
Emperor Grimwald Iceheart stood on the balcony of the tower in which his grand suite resided, overlooking the capital city in its intrinsic beauty. He gave a deep sigh and ran a hand through his aged salt and pepper shaded hair.

Yet another day in the life of the lord of the grandest city in existence.

The truth was though that this was not an ordinary day. He had been made aware of the rumors of a new power rising, one from the times of old, the legend of the Shining Force was one that was known by all who lived in any era.

It was time for him to address this new issue and in doing so, he had called a summit with Grand Patriarch Malcidius and High General Stormcruise, his two most trusted advisors.

In his royal garb, he descended into the Great Hall, where he then proceeded to meet with his two special guests.

"Ah, my dear friends, come, let us speak regarding this troubling change of events. Malcidius, what is your counsel?"

"Through my scrying, I have determined that what has been said is very much true. The Shining Force has once again begun to gather power. I do not doubt that it will be long before Fyrlandt discovers the same. It is my personal opinion that we deploy as many possible regiments as soon as we can to claim this prize for ourselves."

"I see. And you are of similar opinion, Stormcruise?"

"I recommend that we send a small force first to scout the area. In the event that there is anything there that deserves the attention of our full armies, then we shall reassess the situation."

The emperor pondered all that had been said and replied, "Stormcruise, send Lieutenant Bauchos and ten of his best men. Have him send a messenger once he discovers what is going on at the ancient ruins."

"As you say, my lord. Noswald prevails," both of his guests said in unison as they all dispersed to their respective exits from the great hall.

A storm was coming, and Emperor Iceheart intended to be the one in control of where the lightning would strike.

((Hello all, I'm the new emperor of Noswald biggrin ))

Delaine continued to look over the Geo-Fortress after acknowledging Dalcia with a nod, walking around to make sure she can get used to the place. She thought back to Edge's words, to become the ruler over all. The memories of her family came back to her, how her people were now fighting a war that she had deemed unnecessary. Could one hold so much power? Looking down at the tome she held in her hand she knew that she was going to have to show him the blade to show that she had the other Shining Force. She couldn't help but smile a little bit. Wow...how could he not notice? Yes, she didn't say a word, but she thought it probably would have been obvious by now. A yawn escaped her lips and she decided to get some rest. As she walked by Edge she faced him. "Um, I'm going to get some shut-eye." She told him before turning away and making her way to find a bed. After all that had happened she couldn't believe that she was still standing.

"Sora!" He said stumbling back astonished by the girls speed, and how quickly she had noticed him, He fell back on his butt and backed away. "I am not doing anything wrong... I followed you guys in here and then when it transformed I just started walking around... I have no intention of fighting... I even protected you in that cave." He stated even though they didn't know about how he sealed the entrance to the cave and prevented the orcs from entering.

((Yo, Tonas, what's up? haha))

User ImageEdge nodded towards Delaine, deciding to go talk to her after this little event was finished. Hopefully, she wasn't asleep by the time that happened. He walked up to the side of Dalcia and looked down at the boy known as Sora. He looked really young, even younger than Edge. It was obvious that he was a demon though, noticing the wings on his back. "I thought I sensed a barrier being set up behind us." Edge smiled and gestured for Dalcia to lower her blade, then held his hand out for Sora to grab. "She's a bit creepy, isn't she?" he whispered, chuckling a bit after speaking. His words probably sounded cruel, but he was only teasing, so he could only hope she didn't mind.

The demon’s reaction to her speed gave Dalcia a sense of satisfaction. The element of surprise was always exciting. His shocked answer, though, was enough of an indicator in that he truly had meant no harm, so she lowered her blade, but only a little. However, Edge’s prodding to further lower her blade made her reluctantly sheath it back to its hiding place.

At Edge’s words, Dalcia looked away and glared muttering, “I’ll show you creepy.” She knew he had been teasing, but couldn’t help but be mad. Her swishing tail and folded arms were enough to show he had hit a nerve. But, she was not one to show weakness easily, so she gave an excuse to leave, “I’m going to bed.” Dalcia stalked off to the general direction of the sleeping area letting Edge take care of the rest of the encounter.

User Image Edge looked up as Dalcia walked away, itching the back of his head, feeling as if he'd upset her more than he'd meant to. Another girl he'd have to talk to in a bit. He sighed and looked back down at Sora. "You can stay here if you want. I'll see ya in a bit." With that, he waved and followed after Dalcia. He ran up behind her and grabbed her hand to turn her around, letting ago once she was facing him. "Listen, I'm sorry. I didn't mean for it to upset you." He smirked a bit, meaning those words.

Dalcia had been planning to go and sulk somewhere. Really, she would have been fine in an hour or so, but sometimes she was just so sensitive. She had heard the running footsteps, but had kept walking not wanting to speak to him. She was surprised, when he grabbed her hand to turn her around, because she had not been expecting interference in her need to cool off. “What?” she asked harshly and a little louder than she intended as her body involuntarily turned towards him.

After he apologized, Dalcia’s face became a calm mask. “It’s fine, Edge. You were just teasing. It’s nothing I should get upset about,” she stated a distant smile on her face as her eyes closed like shutters. “I’m just being stupid. I’m fine…really.” She continued softly with the same blank expression plastered on her face. "I'm just tired...I'm going to bed, kay?"she said yawning for effect before turning and walking away.

So. This be the Geo Fortress settlement... Doesn't appear much o' anythin' special.

Klaudnir Whitebrow glared through the dark surroundings, not seeing anything beyond a few campfires in the distance. He had heard the sounds of battle not too long ago, though they had died off soon after.

Using his axe as a walking stick, the dwarf priest continued his ascent up the hill towards the camps. He would find the Shining Force, or at least its wielder if it was the last thing he did.

Bloody hell, this is a big hill... I'm gettin' too old fer this.

User ImageEdge shook his head and sighed, raising his hands to eye level for a shrug as Dalcia walked away. "Whatever~" Edge rubbed his head and sighed, wondering what he should do now. He snapped his fingers and decided it was time to check on Delaine. He ran through the fortress, heading towards Delaine's room. Once there, he stepped inside, knocking on the door frame lightly to make sure she knew he was there. He smiled and stepped up to her bed, sitting down next to her. "Look how far we've come, Delaine. Who would have ever though that I'd be the one to draw the Holy Sword." He smiled faintly down at the bracelet and lifted his head, his smile widening when his gaze fell on Delaine's face. He poked her gently and smirked playfully. "I bet you didn't think I could do it!" he laughed a bit and looked forward, thinking of what him and Delaine had been through to get this far.

Sora just sat on the ground for a second thinking. "He said I can stay here... But where do I stay?" He asked himself confused as he stood up"... I could follow that other girl... She seemed to know where she was going... but..." He thought outloud talking to himself as he flew up behind Dalcia

"Um... Hey.." He said meekly. "Um you seem to know where you are going... how do we get to somewhere where we can rest?... because I don't know this place.."

Arriving at the gates of the apparently opened Geo Fortress, Klaudnir gazed into the halls. He stepped cautiously inwards, having faith that his prayers of protection would hold fast against any unexpected attacker or trap.

Confident, but ever wary, the dwarf bellowed loudly,"Helloooooooo!"

His copper bass voice echoed and resounded off the corridor walls. He knew the legends of this place, knew what kind of power once resided in here but the faith in the Highfather, Murgoth, was more than enough to keep the dwarven priest calm and collected as he awaited any type of response, cordial or otherwise.

Delaine recoiled a little, a natural reaction to Edge poking her, and moved a little more on the bed. Zhirra climbed down her shoulder and found a pillow for herself, laying down and resting on it. "Yeah, who would think that someone like you could be entrusted with such a thing." Delaine joked, poking Edge back. She moved so that her back rested on the headboard of the bed and she placed the tome on her lap, replaying the time she and Edge had spent together searching for the legendary blade. 'Edge," Delaine played around with the chains, letting them slide through her fingers. "I...have the other Shining Force." She knew that he had wanted to draw both, but by chance she had drawn the other. Waiting for his response she hoped that he wouldn't be upset about it or anything of the sort.
