With one last glance around, Kai scooped Saiya up an lept out from the tree. Seeming to float on air for a moment before his feet hit the ground running. He'd have to make this part fast before the human pasted out. Whizzing past trees, Kai easily navigated the fallen log in his way as a jumping board. He'd conveniently left out the part where, by using this path, he'd have to leap over a ravine. Soaring through the air he used wind currents to easily carry him to the other side. Landing he skidded to a stop as he spun to continue through the trees. Kai hoped that little stunt hadn't given Saiya too big of a heart attack.

Saiya buried her head against his chest, deciding against looking. She was so punching him when he put her the hell down. That thought alone kept her from willingly passing out after the little chasm jump.

After the jump it was all a piece of cake. In fact, Kai was even a little sad to slow down. But he'd promised Saiya that she would be able to walk. He sighed internally, a promise was a promise. Gradually slowing down so as not to give the poor human wipe-lash, he jogged to a stop by an old oak.

As soon as he stopped Saiya wiggled out of his hold and attempted her promised punch. However she had not calculated in the dizzy factor and ended up on her but i the dirt with a yelp. Blinking confusedly she stared up at the tree branches and tried to pull them into one image instead of swirling images. "You suck." She muttered.

Laughing Kai helped her to her feet. "Sorry. But if I had told you about the chasm you wouldn't have wanted to come this way." he stated through a smile. "And this is the fastest short cut between here and the pass." Kai explained, trying to keep Saiya steady on her feet.

Saiya sighed as everything stopped spinning and frowned. "How do you know I wouldn't? You didn't give me the chance did you?" She pointed out with a pout. "Don't think you know me." Pulling away to stand straight under her own power, her teal eyes bored into him. "I'm made of tougher stuff than you're giving me credit for. In case you haven't noticed, I'm going against one of the worlds largest and most powerful companies. Somehow jumping a chasm really doesn't do it for me in the fear section anymore."

With a shrug Kai turned and stretched a bit before holding up his hands. "I heard nothing about anything involving any conspiracies." he commented nonchalantly as he pulled a thing a water from the pack. "Here." he added as he tossed her the bottle. "It will help slow your ever increasing heart rate." Kai offered.

Saiya blushed. "Y-you can hear my heart rate?" She rolled her eyes and took a drink of water before offering it back to him. "What else can you do that I might need to keep in mind?" She asked him as she thought about how she had blushed when he had put his finger on her lips, knowing her heart rate had increased when he had. The same with when he accidentally groped her.
Trying to make her blush go away she looked around and blinked. "Is this the forest?" She asked as she looked at the endless trees. Having been in such a hurry she had not been able to take in their surroundings.

Kia shrugged again. "Comes with the whole heightened senses bit." he explained. For her question on what else he could do he merely smile, "Yes. We're in the forest... About 5 miles from where we need to be before we camp."

Saiya took a deep breath as she looked around. "The air is cleaner." She commented, sounding slightly surprised. Turning she tilted her head to the side a bit. "We should get moving then." She said as she waited for him to start leading the way.

Reshifting his pack Kai started off in the direction needed. "The air is cleaner because there are none of your cars or buses to cut there way through here." he stated as he walked on ahead.

Saiya pouted at him. "They aren't mine." She protested, quickly following along. "So how many days will it take to get to the festival?" She asked him as she looked around. She still had the flier with the names on it, she had looked them up on her computer and it would be a death wish to approach a couple of them. But she could try for the lowest one and hope that started a chain reaction.

"Well..." Kai thought out loud as he slowed down from his normal pace to match the human's stride. "I'd figure 2, maybe 3 day. Considering our need to avoid certain unfriendlies."

Saiya frowned. "I guess they would have figured out where I was going huh?" She sighed and rubbed her forehead as she walked. "I'll have to be careful of other Supernaturals too. They are calling me a terrorist against them." She frowned. "Stupid Cleaners."

"Not necessarily. From the house we have access to any number of trails leading to places such as Apăcal, Focţinere, Windrei, or any other number of tourist hot spots." Kai chatted as they moved through the trees. "In fact they might start with Apăcal since it is one of the regions largest sea ports." he offered, trying to keep her mind from spiraling into darkening possibilities.
