Chiku woke up slowly. It wasn't painful anymore, physically, but she still was shocked that Kuro would do such a thing. It was a typical quality of many dragon-hybrids - surprising naivety - but it was especially strong in Chiku. With any harm to that great trust she held in everyone she met, she was harmed greatly. She grew overly suspicious, rejected friendships, people, grew tempermental. It might have been a good thing that she was alone when she woke up, but, nontheless, it bothered her that she was alone. She felt lonely and rejected. She slowly walked over to a wall, and, murmuring inaudibly, and swished through the wall as a gust of wind. Her room was there, and she just sat on her bed, crying.

Rey thought about what Lia said. He pondered and calmed down, trying to think thouroughly about his whole situation. - It's true that more questions will arise once these are answered, but...can I really just leave it at that? I'll find answers, even if I must come to realize them myself. I refuse to stay confused. - He thought, as his eyes filled with determination.

Duna's ears twitched.
"I see we have a visitor," he said, purring lazily at Kazemira, "Let Lia in. I need to talk with her about her part to play, and she needs some supplies for getting her weapons ready for battle."
"Lia," he said, when the cat-ling had cautiously nudged in through the door, "We must do some quick Darkness training. I trust you are up for it?"
He grinned, showing a little fang.

Kazemira nodded.
"Yes, it is true that we must work to train all of the ones we have here. I know I can train Chiku well, and I will try with the Rock Hybrid, but my training will not be as good as that he could recieve from his father. I suppose there is nothing we can do about that. I'd best find him now."
She left the room.

Lia had edged her way in, careful not to disturb the air around her. She purred playfully a response to Duna's question.
"Hmmm, why Duna? Is there such a need to ask?"
Approaching him, she rubbed her cheek against his in greeting.
"And the others?" Lia looked up into Kazemira's eyes, into her soul. Something seemed...out of place.
Ah, well. Those with great power do seem a little unsettled. Even the wisest and empathetic.
She glanced at Duna, well away of him reading her thoughts. Such trifle musings are not hidden. It just took one who knew how to listen to them.
Grinning a cat's grin, she transformed, turning into her more human self in one fluid step forward.
" Well, I suppose the others shall be trained as well? I'm sure they could use it as I could. It has been a while since my last employment to destroy a shadowlinge. I recognized the look in that elf's eye just when we arrived here. However, I must admit that I couldn't exactly place it until now," She looked back at Kazemira, "when yoru eyes told me..."

Rey was focused on thinking up a solution to this whole mess of a situation, when he felt somebody was entering the room soon. Not a psychic vision, nor sensing the person through their aura or magic, just this feeling that somebody will come through a doorway, a common act for one to predict. In advanced, he stood up and faced the doorway, waiting for the person to come to him, as he thought this was the case.

Kazemira turned back towards Lia for a moment before leaving the room.
"Yes, it is quite likely that more than just the elf were possessed by the shadowlinge. But, elves have been commonly known to be the most susceptable to possessions of sorts. It is also likely that Kuroshi of the elves will be the only one unable to hold it off. You, Lia of the cat hybrids, and the dragon hybrids, however, may still have some difficulty, which is why such training is necessary."
She left, and walked over to Rey, who looked like he had been expecting her.
"Rey, I will need you to come with me, so that you may be trained to repel the shadowlinge. I apologize, for it will likely not be as good as the training you may have recieved from your father, but I feel in this time it is necessary to develop certain abilities as much as possible.

It surprised him that she, who didn't know him at all, was willing to train him. He wondered if the training could help him understand what he was going through.
All right. Lead the way.

Kazemira nodded and turned to walk on, snapping her fingers and calling "Aetas Chiku Arcesso". Chiku was whisked over to them, looking significantly less than happy. She walked with them nontheless, as if she had no choice, sulking all the way.
They came to a huge door towards the back of the castle. Kazemira turned back towards them.
"This is where you will be trained, as the effect of this room is much like the effect of being possessed by a shadowlinge. If you are indeed among the ones whom I think and hope you are, you will be able to find the secret of this room and escape it. Now, forgive me, as I will have to remove the air around you for a brief moment to open this door. If you are not able to leave this room within a day, I will let you out, and we will try again later."
With that, she did as she said she would, and the doors swung open.

Rey held his breath, half expecting to be asphixiated, then looked over to Chiku, who didn't look at all well. - What happened to her? - He wondered, as he looked at her with concern. - Was she badly hurt by the elf? - He worried, but as the door opened, he realized that he had no time to ask her, since they were being presented with a test, one that they had to focus on completely to pass.

Chiku was still sulking when they went into the room. It was completely dark. She didn't like that; it scared her. She sighed.
"Where's a light hybrid when you really need one? Rey? Are you there?"
She had forgotten sulking and now bit her lip in a sort of worried fear.

Name/nickname: Kitrine Species: Elf Height: 5'2 Weight: 64 Gender: Female Hair color/style: Boyishly short and brown Eye color/style: Very wide and blue Body structure: Thin, flat-chested, think the equivalent of a 13-year-old who hasn't quite blossomed. Clothes: Boy clothes. She has a baggy, pale blue tunic, a dark blue belt with a silver buckle, dark blue knickers, pale blue socks, and tall, black boots. She has a dark green cloak for when she needs a bit of camouflage or she's cold. She dresses as a boy because she is traveling (should I say wandering?) alone and people will flock to help a little girl but leave her be if she dresses as a boy, which is what she wants, really, for she needs no assistance, unless she asks you for help. Weapons: A small dagger she conceals in her boot and another she has at the tip of her shoe so when she kicks...well...it'll hurt. Magic specialties: Her magic specialty is over mostly wind and a bit of ice. She's learning the ice part and is quite adept at wind, though not an expert by any means. She's only a 13-year-old! The equivalent of one, anyway.
Kitrine yawned as she wandered about, lost as usual. Her parents had gone out to explore and like the belligerent little girl she was, she went out looking for them after they had told her to stay put. Oh well, she liked adventuring. It was fun. She saw parts of the world she would have never seen if she had stayed at home. She knew where she was going and the general direction of where it would be, relative of where she had left, but just didn't know where she was now and whether or not she was going in the right direction. Well, she was, she guessed, going southwest like she should, judging by the sun. She had nothing but her legs to carry her, though she had been training herself in her wind power using her book on basic wind power and was getting close to levitating and moving herself with wind, which would be a nice break, but she wasn't quite there yet. Due to her nature, she went straight to the hard stuff (being able to put knife-like ice shards in her wind so her enemies would be hurt by it) and skipped over the easy stuff, so here she was, trying to learn something she should have learned quite some time ago. It certainly would have made things much easier for her. Oh well.

Rey was startled. He was in deep thought, and hadn't even realized he was already in the room. - Yes, I'm here. - He said, walking toward her voice. He had good eyesight, and he could see somewhat, but his nigthvision only let him see at arm's length. - This is no ordinary darkness. I can't pierce through it. I don't think even fire could do it. - He was wary, and turned everywhere as he moved toward her.

Soon Kitrine found herself in a strange new town. Where was she? Again, she was lost. Again. She looked for a map of the general area, or at least some shmoe to tell her where she was. Ah, there was some shmoe.
"Excuse me, sir," Kitrine approached the man using her most innocent, unassuming look, guaranteed to melt any normal person's heart, and Some Shmoe must have been way beyond normal, for it certainly melted his.
"Can I help you, lad?" Some Shmoe asked, concern glowing like a beacon on his face.
"Yes, could you tell me, perhaps, where I am?" Kitrine asked, careful pauses and modest looks tailored to perfection to win Some Shmoe's heart. Sure, she would never see him again and she wasn't in any big trouble so she really didn't need to use such devious tactics, but she did like to keep her skills sharp and it made it easier to get what she wanted.
"Oh yes, you're here," He said, taking out a map and showing Kitrine where she was. She saw clearly where she was trying to go (just get to there, and maybe she would go home for a time...maybe...) and which direction she had to be going in. She made a mental note of it and thanked the man sweetly for his help. He smiled and handed her the map, riding off before she could protest. She really didn't need it. She had too many maps and not enough space to put them in, but none so complete as this...Why oh why couldn't she just get rid of all of her old, outdated maps? She was so sentimental, she just HAD to keep mementos of her travels in any way. Damn her and her pack-rat tendencies.

Chiku was breathing heavily and shakily. Not wanting to become separated from Rey, and wishing to guide him towards her, she murmured Summoning wind to draw him closer. Nothing happened.
"This...this doesn't make any sense. It's like there's no air here. I can't control it. But, I'm the only wind hybrid right now, and thereby the strongest at controlling the wind except for Kazemira. But...why would she do this?" Chiku was shaking. "I'm...powerless. I can't do anything!" She was crying nervously. "Why is this happening!!?"
