And thus the first Pokeball missed but was immediately followed by a second once the location of the Haunter was determined. Since the Haunter was not going anywhere at the moment the ball bounced off its head and the familiar red beam appeared, sucking the pokemon into the contraption. The red and white ball clattered to the floor, quivering violently for a moment. Claris drew in a sharp breath as he hoped that Azras luck would rub off on him in this case. A haunter would definitely push him up in the ranking scale if he were successful.

The ball quivered, rolling from side to side for several long seconds as the haunter struggled. At last there was a satisfying tone and the ball was still.

Well, the Mean Look didn't really do much aside from the fact that Nikki couldn't recall Darkfeather to his Pokeball. Which was a moot point anyway considering he was her only Pokemon. Having used the Rocket Pokedex to scan the Gastly, she determined it was a rather weak one. But well, weak was better than nothing at least. Perhaps her little Pidgey stood a chance after all.
"Good. Now repeat with another Gust," Nikki commanded tonelessly. This would be a monotonous and boring battle, but well... it was her first mission after all. She didn't expect things to really get exciting until after she was promoted to Agent.
Once again Darkfeather flapped his wings in a Gust attack. This time the Gastly retaliated in a Lick. Its tongue slurping the feathered Pokemon and causing DF to shudder. Nikki frowned as she watched paralysis grip her Pokemon. "Great" she muttered. This wasn't good.
Unfortunately, DF was unable to attack for the next two rounds. In which the Gastly did a useless Hypnosis and then another drooling Lick. Well... it wasn't a very smart Gastly either. But then, that was the point of training, to help Pokemon know which to use and when, and this Gastly was wild.
Finally, Darkfeather was able to move again and sent another Gust which sent the Gastly reeling. Again the Gastly used Lick, which brought another Gust, Lick, Gust, Lick. It went back and forth until both Pokemon seemed on the verge of fainting. Nikki groaned at the agonizing boredom that was settling over her and just the general pathetic sight of her bird. Darkfeather was covered in Gastly slobber. His wings dripping in the sticky, slimey saliva.
She sighed. "Another Gust." However, it turned out that Darkfeather wasn't able to move from paralysis yet again.
"To hell with this" she muttered and tossed a Pokeball.
The Gastly was enveloped in a red light and immediately sucked inside. The ball fell to the ground and proceeded to shake back and forth several times. The blond held her breath, and for a moment she thought it might bust free when... "PING!" The Pokemon was caught!
A satisfied grin came upon Nikki's face as she picked up the ball. That is.. until she realized she couldn't keep it. Ah well. With Pokeball in one hand and using the other to scoop up her exhausted, slime-coated Pidgey, Nikki made her way back to where TRP was waiting. Darkfeather looked positively livid but since he was paralyzed, there was nothing he could do about it.

Azra wandered over to the Pokeball and took it in his mouth, wandering back to his trainer the Absol deposited the ball in Claris's outstretched hand. With a brisk nod and a gentle brushing of Azras fur he placed the ball in a pack he had brought with to carry the balls for his 'Boss'. He let out a heavy sigh, while he had the satisfaction of catching a Haunter who obviously would be formidable with the proper training and care, it wouldn't be lucky enough to receive those things. Not all Rockets had a clue how to train a Pokemon properly and he highly doubted that 'TRP' would be the one to train the new captures. "Azra.. we'll scout the Master Bedroom and the basement if there is one before we return to the 'Mistress'. Hopefully it'll be later by the time we reach the lower level and we'll be able to get some real action." With that he turned on his heels and made his way to the master bedroom, his oddly colored Absol following in step at his side. Upon reaching the master bedroom he was aware of a few things. First off, the room was oddly more damaged than the others, apparently there had been some sort of violent struggle here. The second was that he noted the charred remains of some pieces of furniture, as well as deep claw marks in some of the walls. This seemed all too familiar to him and his blood began to boil once more. This room had a violent history and would thus be a good place for some of the nastier species of Ghost pokemon to dwell. He wandered about the room, checking out the massive bed that stood on a platform in the middle of the room, elevated above the rest to show superiority. If there wasn't something here he'd be immensely surprised and thus would be disappointed. The good news ways, maybe he'd luck out and find something of value other than a ghost Pokemon too. His goal was to catch three at the very least and return to his boss victorious. He of course wasn't one hundred percent sure he could achieve such a lofty goal, but he'd be damned if he didn't try.

Nikki would find TRP lounging on what remained of a stone wall near the cars. Axel was sitting a few feet away, looking bored. Unfortunately Claris' search for more impressive ghost Pokemon didn't seem to be turning up any results. This early in the day the haunter he caught was probably one of the nastier things roaming around. On the upside, the room seemed to have a few valuable trinkets scattered about.

SEA moved through the room carefully, stepping over age old debris and broken furniture. The room was lit dimly from the hallway entrance and had an dry, dusty smell about it. She swept the space with her gaze, though Haunter seemed to have disappeared. Did it go through a wall? There were no other obvious exits that the girl could see. Deciding to check the adjacent rooms, SEA turned straight into the ghost pokemon. "Haauunnt," the ghoul wailed in a low, eerie voice. Surprised, SEA fell backwards onto an old pillow, blowing up thick puffs of dust.
"Okay, now's the time to do something, Othello," she said, patting the pokemon's shell. There was no response and SEA jumped up and backed away from the Haunter. The pokemon was swaying back and forth. It seemed to be playing with them more than anything else. However, that could change real quick.

Darkfeather looked absolutely pitiful. He was covered in sticky saliva and his feathers were pointing every which way thanks to the many "cowlicks" the Gastly had given him. Despite looking rather exhausted and on the verge of fainting he still managed a withering glare at anything and everything that was in his line of sight. He had managed to settle on Nikki's shoulder again, due to his own stubbornness, but his grip looked a bit feeble. Preening would do no good at this point. He would have to wait till Nikki could give him a bath. Oh loathe!
Finding the lounging TRP, she couldn't help but mentally roll her eyes. Certainly she had better things to do than just sit there while they did all the "Grunt" work. But whatever. Nikki tossed the pokeball in her direction. "There's a Gastly."

A hand shot up to catch the ball and TRP nodded approvingly. "Well done. You're the first one back." She tucked the Poke Ball away and eyed Darkfeather.
"Your Pidgey's not looking too good." She plucked a ball from her belt and summoned her Chimecho once more, "Heal bell, Furin."
"Chiiime!" The little Pokemon produced a soothing tone, releasing all nearby friendly Pokemon from the grips of status ailments like paralysis.

Sam ran with all the speed in her body to catch up with the other Rockets. Somehow or other she'd ended up getting lost. Sparx had tried to run away, not liking the ghost town that they were in. She'd chased him around tiredly for a bit but finally had caught him just in time to see a Ghastly right in front of her. Sparx gave a whimper and sighed, "Piiichuuu. . ."

As the Haunter began approaching SEA tried to reason Othello into action again. "If you don't do anything now the ghost'll get ya." As if on cue, a steady stream of water was shot from the squirtle's shell towards the Haunter. It pushed SEA back with its force until she was able to brace herself. The water gun trinkled out to reveal a very angry Haunter. "Good job, Othello. Just one more time." Before the pokemon could react a sudden Sucker Punch from below knocked the squirtle from SEA's hands. The shelled pokemon went spinning in the air. Bubbles were rained down on both trainer and opposing pokemon as Othello used his bubble beam.

creeeeeeeeek Clyde froze, Pandora was already scared stiff and clinging to his shoulder after being spooked by rotting rafter. A splinter had fallen on her head. Thank God she wasn't the type to start fire blasting the place, all the wood was old and dry, the perfect thing to start a raging fire. The creek-ing continued, even though Clyde had froze, trying to pinpoint the sound. His ears couldn't tell, it sounded like the creeks were coming from *everywhere*. Not a good sign in the least. "Pandora, you gotta buck up and face this. I won't do any damage to whatever is coming our way. Getoff!" He yanked the charmander off his shoulder, and set her on the dusty floor. Something was coming their way. A gastly phased through one of the walls, and stealthily licked the side of Clyde's head. "dfjhdsgh!!!" The grunt was suddenly paralyzed by the sheer grossness. "Pndora" He ground out "Embuurrrrr." Pandora looked around wildly, trying to find whatever had just paralyzed her master. What was that?! Finally the ghastly came shooting from behind shelf, ready to lick the charmander as well. Suddenly something snapped in Pandora and she shot forth a spew of flames from her mouth, successfully toasting the surprised gastly, as well as the wall behind it. The flames licked hungrily at the dry wood and began to consume it. Luckily Clyde's paralysis was wearing off, and he was able to hobble over to a shelf where a dusty paralyze heal was laying. He hastily sprayed himself with it and with a rush of adrenaline whipped out a pokeball and threw it at the fading gastly. He didn't wait for the ball to even wobble and rushed over to snatch it up and his charmander, who was still petrified at what she had done. Clyde ran helter-skelter out of the building, which he knew was going to erupt into flames any minu- Never mind. Once they were safely outside, he surveyed the damage. Crap. He hoped he wouldn't be held responsible for that. Suddenly the pokeball he thought he caught the gastly in burst open, the gastly hadn't been caught. 'Dammit.' Clyde thought 'I thought we had it.' "Pandora, use Ember! Tailwip! Do something!" Pandora was currently trying to curl herself in a ball when Clyde yelled commands at her. With all the courage she could muster, she shot another ember at the gastly... Which sailed past the ghost, who was blowing a raspberry at her. The charmander was suddenly furious, which was very out of character for her, Clyde noted. She let loose another, more powerful ember just as the ghastly was sailing towards her. The ghastly attempted to stop, drop and roll in the dirt, which is when Clyde seized the chance to throw a pokeball at it. This time he let it wobble. wobble....wobble.... wobble... His Rocket-pokedex pinged, informing him that this time the ghastly had been caught. He scooped up Pandora, ignoring the burning building in the background and praised her effort. "Now that's what I'm talking about! You need to do that more often!" The charmander was shocked and said nothing. She was suddenly so dizzy...time for a nap... Clyde returned the tired Pandora and collected the ghastly. He then made his way through the ghost town to find TRP.
((If a burning building is too drastic, or you think their mission couldn't have been done in one post (even if it is long. I pictured this happening over a good 30-45minutes by the way, I just didn't type about their searching xD ), do tell and I'll fix it <3 ))

As 'TRP' had said nothing in particular about taking trinkets, he confiscated what he could find. Something was bound to be useful in his training or to sell for some cash for some TM's or something of the sort. His gaze shifted to his Poketch and he let out a long sigh. He decided it would be a good idea to peruse the other rooms for a time just to get a feel for the building. This would be a good way for him to eat up some time so that things began to stir as the evening drew on. He figured he would most likely be the last one to return to 'TRP' or base due to his desire for the hunt. He also knew this could potentially be dangerous if he didn't play his cards right. As he wandered and time wore on he found himself instinctively wandering towards where the staircase to the basement was. He looked about once he reached the stairs and let out another heavy sigh before looking to Azra with a shrug. "Guess we go down."He took his time descending the stairs, Azra following close behind. Even if there was nothing down there now, he would wait to see what was to come. He was confident in his own skills to get out of trouble and Azras ability to fight anything that came their way.

As soon as he responded in the more respectful manner, Nadali perked up with a bright smile. It was easy enough, she figured, and she wasn't going to hold this one over his head. Instead, she realized after a moment of looking around, they had work to do, and it wouldn't be good if TRP saw them slacking off.
Senka watched as the man pulled out a curious item, not used to seeing the regular 'treats' that were given to pokemon. Blinking a moment, she wrapped her tail downward in a questioning motion, and was encouraged by the shrug of her owner's shoulder. With that, she jumped to the other side and settled her balance. Turning once more, she leaned out, eyes not on the pokeblock, but instead on the man who offered it.
After a long moment of silence, she quickly snatched the pokeblock away and jumped back to the other shoulder, settling and examining the item with great curiosity.
"Thanks..." Nadali said with a laugh, before becoming serious once more.
"Well, let's go than...!" And with that, she gestured toward a smaller building that most seemed to pass by, "Do you think that will do?"

Why did most Pokemon have to be so stupid? 1337 was not impressed by the Pichu's leisurely pace it had taken with snatching one piece of candy. Precious time was going past. His eyes went to his own tool for the project. "You, set up a small magnetic field around yourself...and go towards the lead. Let me know if you pick up any uncalculated interferences." The metal arm floated up a bit, but then is made its way in front of both Nadali and 1337. Its pace was not exactly all that swift as well, but considering it was a magnetically floating arm, it was slightly more understandable. In response to his momentary partner's suggestion, he let out a simple "Yeah, sure!" The Beldum, taking it's trainer's response as an order, began to float towards, and then into the small building. As it slowly hoovered about inside the darkness of the abandoned building, the Pokemon's single eye looked one way, and then the other. Though at one point in time, the floor might have been furnished with carpet, or even bare basic wood, the ground in which the two Rocket Grunts would walk on was completely covered in dirt and weeds. Where as the other buildings might have trinkets on the ground, this building was almost stripped bare. The only thing left seemed to be a large shattered mirror towards the center of the building. 1337 lingered towards the back of the group, allowing his partner to feel almighty and important for the time being. He didn't speak, mainly because his partner hadn't informed him of any possible leads yet.

Brushing her hand across the old wood, she felt the dust through the thick gloves of the uniform. The place was old, as predicted, but even she couldn't decipher how old.
She wasn't sure what to expect from 1337, but from just observing his interaction with his pokemon, she could easily assume that there wasn't much beyond work. He treated his pokemon like a machine, which wasn't something she would judge, it was just different.
"Alright Senka..." she said softly, not needing to speak up, "See if you can draw something out...but don't distract the Beldum..." She trailed off, eying the other pokemon in the room with uncertainty, "...best not use any thunder or sparks until we need it..."
With that, Senka jumped off the shoulder and started to scamper around the room, darting into smaller places where the two grunts would not have an easy time searching. Many parts of the wall had mold and holes from age, and the pichu soon popped in and out much like the creature she tended to represent.
"..." Nadali didn't really want to go too far without Senka near, but she figured she needed to lure out the ghost no matter what. So, she walked through the building, listening to the constant pattering of the mouse, before she caught sight of the mirror.
"Leet..." She called out softly, not wanting to break the silence too much, "Check this out..."
