(Moving the plot along~)
At the rate they moved, it didn't take long for Rhys and company to chance upon Ganon & Friends, Ltd., surrounded by... well, only a few bandit corpses. Fewer than they'd dealt with, at least. Probably Ganon's sheer size--not every day you came across a dude THAT tall.
And with that, the entire group was united at last! That's right, back in town for a limited time only, it's the Ganon & "Sons" band, featuring Leena!
And there was much rejoicing. Followed by skedaddling back into safer territory.

After returning to her shop, the whole ordeal made Leena forget what she even went outside for. Oh well. It probably wasn't important if she didn't remember it through being an accidental hostage.
She was the first off Anri, helping Leon off his companion. The horse could sense his rider's pain, staring down at the brunette warrior as he winced. "Leon." she said. "Before anything, you should get treated. I'm grateful you came for me.. but you shuldn't try to be heroic when you're injured." she wasn't scolding in voice tone... but the words were harsh.
"So... ow! That's the thanks... I get?" Leon flinched as the pain travelled through his right leg, even moreso now that he wasn't distracted. "Gee, aren't... you... the cold one? Ow!" Hopefully, Rhys didn't reconize him yet. He healed me when he was tired, but still saved my life. As long as he doesn't completely remember me... I shouldn't be forced to laying down. I'm a soldier! I'm supposed to be active!
Sue too was concerned for the warrior, but even moreso for her Lord, Rhys. His quest for... whatever it is they were searching for in apparently the wrong district would be soon forgotten. "Milord, there must have been something you wanted."
"That's right.." Leon looked up, while searching through his pack to at least get a makeshift bandage around his now broken right leg. "The healer needs a ring, Leena. A special one. He's... gonna pop the question."

Isadora let out a smile as she watched Amelia hugged Renault and crying. So that's why he came, Isadora thought. To give his valuable ring to Amelia. She had never thought that both she and Renault had thought about giving the ring to another person. Was it a coincidence? Or was it something that St. Elimine had in store?
Not knowing what it could be, the paladin let that aside as she spoke calmly to Renault. "Your Excellency, Amelia and I are about to have lunch in the town. Would you like to join with us?"

Shouldn't try to be heroic when you're injured...?
Rhys slid off the horse, landing awkwardly on the ground but stumbling back onto his feet. He glanced at Leon. Injured... injured...
Although he'd still been ill over the past few days, disaster waits for no man. After the corruption had been mysteriously purged en masse, there were many wounded to be taken care of. Rhys, being in charge of the motley band of would-be doctors, wound up doing his share--through use of surviving unharmed cavaliers from the Watch, Jin had worked out carts to ship injured to FEFGA's for Rhys to work on. Jin had been prudent, had not sent too many for the weakened Rhys.
Nobility...
There were, however, none among them who had been nobility. He would've remembered that much. None of them... save one. That crest... namely, that GRIFFON crest Leon had. Now, what was that injury in ques--
"Your leg!"
Rhys snapped back into the reality, just as Sue finished her sentence. Yes, Rhys wanted Sue's leg! Wow! How amazingly awkward! What a plot twist! That dastard, what was all the sexual tension with Amelia for when--oh wait, he was staring at Leon's leg. Which meant that either Rhys was hungry enough to eat a human leg or...
"Your leg," Rhys repeated, staring at Leon. "Didn't I take care of that injury? More to the point, didn't I tell you to stay OFF it? You'd better not have made that fracture worse, darn you! We're taking a look at that leg, and if it feels like it's broken, you're getting a cast and a bed!"
He turned to Leena.
"...Err, but if you have any rings in stock of the 'wedding' and 'engagement' varieties, I'd be happy to take a look at those," he added.

The Inner Lance within was now cheering. A TEAM! A TEAM! THAT'S THE FIRST STEP TOWARDS FRIENDSHIP! Not that he said anything out loud, he just smiled. "Well, sissies...they ganged up on us, sure. But put yourself in their shoes. If you saw your mates getting beaten around like pinĂ£tas, you'd probably want to leg it too."
Lance stretched his back. "They sure did underestimate us though."
Lance raised an eyebrow. "What was that about though? Did you two do something that deserved the wrath of all those, uh, sissies?"
He brought up his arms and shrugged while sighing. "Not that it matters to me. A team, huh...The Team of Teamwork Team? That's quite the tonguetwister, try saying that quickly. But sure! I've been waiting to meet people that I could have a good time with! That is quite the music to my ears! And you, Ganny, you're a bard then, I take it? Were you born in that month too? I was born in the Month of the Dancer, you see, that is probably why this all went so well!"
The thief nodded at Blossom. "Not that I know which others you speak off, but it'd probably be a good idea. Onwards, Team of Teamwork Team!" he exlaimed while posing with his index finger pointing.

Renault was a bit surprised at his daughter's actions, but he didn't hesitate to wrap his arms around her in return, holding her close against him. His eyes closed for a moment and he allowed himself this moment of happiness, his face relaxing into a gentle smile. It felt good. . . he loved this girl, and she was his precious daughter. This time, here, he had the beginnings of a family, and soon he would have another addition. Even though other things happened, it was still. . . happy. He held Amelia softly, one hand rubbing her shoulders. "It's for you to be happy, Amelia," he told her quietly. "If it makes you happy, then I'll gladly do it." After a moment, he bent down and kissed the top of her head, then looked up again, smiling happily. This was good. Although she was crying. . . she was happy.
A moment later, Isadora spoke, and Renault turned his attention temporarily to her, though he didn't release Amelia. "Lunch? That sounds good. I'd be glad to come along with you. Since it's kind of a special day. . . I think I'll treat the two of you, how does that sound?" He smiled again, eyes squeezing shut happily. "I've got extra Gold anyway. So don't worry about it. It isn't as if we have anything else to spend it on here, either, right?"

Amelia smiled against his shoulder, opening her eyes as the tears dried away. It was just... it still felt a little unbelievable. Her biological father died when she was barely old enough to be speaking complete sentences. Her biological mother had been carted off by bandits around roughly the same time. She had been raised by a neighbor for a good deal of her life, and when she finally had the chance to reunite with her mom, she'd come to Learania. Amelia had never expected to ever get a second chance at a family, and she was damn happy that she did.
Amelia didn't pull away from Renault until after she felt him kiss her scalp, only lifting her head and stretching to the side a little to see around Renault's broad shoulder and to Isadora. "Yes... lunch. Good idea." Amelia looked up to her father and laughed. She used his sleeve to dry her eyes (her own sleeve was kind of sweaty) and peeled off her gloves. "Should... I at least change into clean clothes first?" she questioned.

No! He'll find out I broke it, I know he will! But... I can't move. I guess it's the end of the road... Leon sighed. "I give up, Lord Rhys. I'll go rest, like... you said. I just can't stand the idea... that Anri can't come with me. Besides, I'll be laid up for a month at best!" he begun to protest. "Who cares if it's... ow... if it's broken?" he accidentally spit out the truth. "When you healed me before... my other injuries were... life-threatening. Your staff took all but this.. away. It's nothing, so don't make me have a cast-"
"Stop being so stubborn. You'll only get worse... and bedridden longer if you're anymore reckless!" Leena rolled her eyes at her noble friend before giving the steed a much deserved sugar cube. "We'll take good care of each other, won't we, Anri? We'll wait for Leon to come back in top shape."
The horse whinnied proudly at the idea.
To see such a cheerful steed brought a smile to the nomad's face, making her think of Andre just before she too remembered the other thing she was looking for. Materials for my bow making! "Ah, miss Leena." Sue said as politely as she could. "Do you happen to know where the other nomadic vendors are? I need more materials for my bows."
"They set up shop north of here." Leena explained, while looking through her inventory still, for Rhys's request. "Their original place they set up got destroyed in the fray. If Leon wasn't here protecting this place... then I too..." she trailed off as she blinked at several rings of serveral tones: gold, silver, even copper, jade... and the gemstones of all different colors.
All the while, Leon sighed. "Well, Anri... good friend. Lord Rhys will probably warp us. Farewell."
Anri stared to his rider with a longing gaze, as if saying a long goodbye if he could ever speak. He'd miss him, he was capable of those and other emotions, surely. However, Anri knew it was for best, and did no protesting.

"Warp? Well..."
Rhys paused, thinking. He didn't use Warp staves, and the Warp Powder had all been used up at Halloween... Hmmm... wait, aha!
Rhys handed Leon his Heal staff. "Use this as a crutch to get to the castle infirmary, okay? Tell the Priests I sent you. They'll take good care of you while I'm busy. And don't go getting into trouble this time," he said, sending Leon on his way. The castle wasn't THAT far from here--as long as he didn't do anything stupid, the leg wouldn't get much worse.
Leon now (hopefully) safe, Rhys examined the rings. So many choices! Which one was a good idea? Wedding rings, you seemed safe with a gold ring, but engagement rings were tricky. Were diamonds really "a girl's best friend"? Or maybe jade? ...Garnet? Opal?
Think, Rhys, think! What would Amelia like? Well... err... she had those nice, deep green eyes, so jade... no, it was going on her hand, not her eyes! Diamond? ...Diamond on a General like her? Granted, she wouldn't wear it WITH her armor, most likely, but the color combination seemed a bit off. Wait a second!
His eyes lit on a gold ring with a deep sapphire gem at last.
...It'd contrast nicely with what she usually wears. She might like it... maybe. I hope I'm right about this... although...
"Err... how much is this one," Rhys asked, pointing at the ring in question. His mind wandered to the bag of gold Jin gave him, wondering if there'd be enough left over for the wedding ring as well...
(EDIT: Since Sue's already discussed the "Half off" deal thingy, and it was gonna happen anyway, and we gotta wrap this up...)
"Oh, fancy running into you three here!"
Rhys' left hand instinctively clutched over his chest, over a small box.
Not NOW! Don't just propose in the middle of the street!
They'd run into Amelia, Renault, and Isadora somehow. Probably one of those cheesy "What a coincidence!"-type things that happen in stories and the like.
"So, um... how are you guys doing? You seem to be doing well," Rhys said as nonchalantly as he could.

Amelia had changed in the castle before heading into town, with enough time to wash up a little, but she still felt rather grungy and dirty, at least compared to Renault's pure white robes and Isadora's well-maintained armor. She had taken off her own suit of armor while changing, leaving her in a collared shirt and pants with her boots.
Seeing Rhys, though, was a bit of a surprise. A nice surprise. But a surprise. Amelia's face turned pink as she put a hand to her hair, still tangled and dirty. There'd only been enough time to wash her face and clean off the dirt. "Rhys...! There you are! F-Finally I've run into you... what's been keeping you so busy, at least today?" she asked. Amelia nervously swiped her fingers against the hem of her shirt. She paused as she got a better look of him, seeing the grunge at his robes and the rather noticeable slash through his robes, even through the sky blue under-robes to his pale chest. A little voice at the back of her head wished that she could get more than just that peek, but the concern was taking priority.
"How did you get your robes torn?" she asked, walking over. She didn't seem to notice the box in his hand just yet, her fingertips moving to the slash, against the skin of his chest. "Was someone attacking you...? What happened??"

"What happened? Well..."
Judging from the "I'm looking off into space" expression on Rhys' face, it seemed apparent he wasn't too enthused about saying, "Oh you know, I ran off into a seedy district and fought some bandits, kicked a**, and came back alive so I could propose." So naturally, he didn't.
That didn't mean he told lies, however.
"I... WE wound up in a rather unsavory part of Eyris trying to help someone get back out," Rhys said, gesturing to the remaining group at large. "We ran into trouble, but... we were a big group. We didn't have any problems, and other than some torn clothes, we're all fine." He hoped that assured her that everyone was okay. He didn't want to scare her.
"In any case, we completed our task! Where are you guys headed?"
Rhys wasn't quite sure how to handle this. He'd hoped the occasion would be a bit more private than surrounded by friends. No offense to them, but he just didn't feel as though "the question" ought to be public if it could be avoided.

Amelia looked up to Rhys as he explained, eyes widening before she relaxed. Her eyes went to his companions. Other than the unfamiliar knight leaning heavily on a Heal staff, they all did seem to be all right, given their circumstances... weary and a little bruised, but mostly okay. That was a relief.
"Well, as long as everyone's all right," she agreed. They were warriors, she shouldn't have to be too concerned, right? Even Rhys; he was a Bishop, she knew he was battle-capable. Seeing him with only a tear in his robes to prove he'd been fighting only reaffirmed that.
"In any case, we completed our task! Where are you guys headed?"
Amelia paused. She looked to Renault and Isadora, then back to Rhys. "Actually, um... we were going to get some food, but... can I speak to you? Please?" Amelia put her hand in her pocket, closing her fingers around the ring Renault had given her. Was it time now to give it some use? Good question...

"Speak to me? Sure. Let's get some quick privacy, then. We'll catch up, guys," he said cheerfully, waving at them as he and Amelia rounded a corner.
Huh. Wow, that was easy. I didn't even have to TRY to cause a diversion. Except... now I actually have to do it.
Rhys began to build his resolve. Really, it wouldn't take long for him to work up the bit of courage to do it with a ring this time--he'd already (technically) proposed over Easter, fought a small crowd of bandits, basically told everyone else in FEF that he was going to do i--okay, he was ready.
"So, I know I've been really busy over the past few days, and haven't had much time to talk," Rhys began. "But I've been fine, really. I just..."
He paused for a second, thinking of how to word this.
"...Okay, you remember what I said at the end of Easter, right?"
He opened his left hand at last to reveal the box, and grinned.
"That was no April Fool."
He opened the lid with his right. The gold/blue combo looked (he hoped) enticing.

[[Rhys gossips more than a schoolgirl~ xD "Basically told everyone in FEF that he was going to do it"? x3 Heh.]]
Amelia's heart started racing as they turned back down the street she'd just left from, leaning her back against a lightpole to steady herself. Just for a moment, though. she was standing back up straight and watched as Rhys seemed to visibly compose himself. She could hazard a guess to what he was doing, but... she supposed there was a chance it wasn't, right?
Amelia opened her mouth to talk, but he beat her to the punch. As soon as he opened his hand from around that little cloth box, any doubt she might have had disappeared instantly. Her eyes widened a little, both from his words and the ring. Amelia looked from it, to him, then let out a tiny, quiet laugh, her smile genuine. "You are... such a dork," she said softly, eyes sparkling. She removed her hand from her pocket, but she kept it closed around both Isadora's ring and her father's ring for now.

Sue was confused as to whether or not her Host Club leader's proposition was being accepted. They did things in the Lycian culture quite different then her own.
In Sacae, the young women would usually ask permission of of the man's parents to wed them, whether it was for tribal gain, or they were... connected. If his parents weren't around... then she'd ask his nearest relative, sometimes even the chief if necessary! It was all arranged and certain...and for the most part, these choices were ones that would make the two people happy. Lycian, Tellius, even Grado culture had this strange uncertainty with the ring... but it amused the nomad greatly. She wanted to wait for real, straight answers. Then... she'd continue to get materials to make bows.
Leena loomed in the distance, smiling. She'd once again made someone happy with her creations. There was a reason that she wouldn't make weapons, despite being a blacksmith's daugher. She didn't want to see anyone get hurt: not even her enemies. Instead of using the skills she knew she had to make weapons.. she chose to make only jewelry and staves, a mostly civilian trade with less gold to offer, but more smiles like she was observing right now. They were happy by her handiwork, and that meant the world to her.
Leon wasn't so pleased, still limping to the castle with the staff. How unprofessional for Rhys not to warp him!
Of course, he was at the palace healer's in no time, yet, he was exhuasted. He ended up shutting his eyes... just to sleep right in the doorway.
Ah, how merciful the darkness of sleep was! He'd fought his own comrades, and then bandits, nearly lost his life, and then broke his leg being reckless. Being taken away from the cruel world outside was a true blessing.
When he awoke, Leon wasn't in the doorway. The surface under him was soft... white. He was in one of the palace healer's beds, he deduced. Gazing at his surroundings, he saw many other members of the guard, all in casts like he now was. He cringed at their pain and his own.
One of their faces struck his eyes though as very familiar...
"I don't believe it!" he exclaimed. "Captain Dan! You're alive!"
{Now we wait for Ganon/Tibby/Dan post. :V}
