The rock suddenly fell apart into the shape of a sharp spike. Ren touched the point of the spike and felt it's sharpness.
"I SEE! So now in the form of a shuriken."
He reached for another rock and applied the same idea to it. Instead of one spike, he made the rock shuriken with four sharp spikes around it's center and flattened them.
A rock shuriken.
Ren chucks the rock shuriken at a tree and it stuck into it this time.

Byakugan!
The veins around Ren's eyes started to become visible. He grabbed the next rock and performed the same style to making a rock-shuriken. Four spikes jutting out of the center, flatten it. Repeat.
"One!"

Ren sat on the ground Indian style and grabbed for the next rock. He turned it into a shuriken and tossed it aside. Ren's hands were moving very quickly through each rock.
"Four!"
A few seconds went by and he went through even more amounts of material.
"Nine!"

Ren's eyes were darting back and forth from his hand to the group of rocks that were set before him.
"Fifteen!"
Ren tried to make the rock shurikens with both hands at the same time to double the output but he still needed practice for it. A rock in each hand, Ren made one rock-shuriken and the other was dulled out. It didn't count.
"Sixteen."

Ren tried to focus on making two rock-shurikens at the same time. Multitasking was a familiar task to Ren, so it wouldn't be long until he figured out how to make two of them simultaneously.
A few minutes passed and Ren made a rock-shuriken in each hand at the same time.
"Eighteen!"

At least six minutes had passed by and Ren had accomplished making 150 rock shurikens. Making two at a time had doubled the process.
"One hundred and fifty."
He said, standing up from the ground and stretching as if he hadn't moved in hours.

"Good, Very good!"
Kaimen said inspecting a few of the Shurikens.
"You've passed your first test."
He cracked his neck.
"You will use these same shurikens on me, in battle."

Ren looked at Kaimen with his Byakugan still activated while dusting some dirt off his legs.

"Yeah."
Kaimen stomped as a pillar of earth shot up next to him. Grabbing onto it his chakra overflowed as it condensed and became a large spear.
"Ok, Begin!"
Kaimen thrust the point as Ren Swiftly.

Shi-
Ren immediately jumped backwards when Kaimen made the large spear. When he stabbed at Ren, he dodged to the side and grabbed for one of the rock shurikens. Ren skillfully chucked the shuriken at Kaimen's torso before grabbing another shuriken and backing off.

Blocking with shuriken with then end of the spear Kaimen made a complete 360 degree turn and slashed at Ren's chest horizontally.
"Make sure your defense is strong!"

Ren ducked low to the ground and rolled on his side while chucking another shuriken at Kaimen's torso. He grabbed for another shuriken and jumped backwards. He was watching Kaimen's wrist and arm movements to determine where the spear would swing next.

Ren should have been watching Kaimen's legs as he pivoted once again moving with his swing he jumped and spiraled so that he was moving fast enough to create a "wind" around his body, acting like a drill holding the spear straight he was headed in Ren's direction.
"Defense is the best offense!"

"How the hell would I defend against these attacks! I'm no warrior with a shield!"
Ren focused chakra quickly to the bottom of his feet and had sprang backwards with a flip, landing several yards away from the reach of his drill.
