Yu~ziko I'm saddened to say I do not do that... Ah well, And if I met him? I would be speechless, and then probably say something about how I admire his work, his music, him, and how inspiring he is, or something like that. Or, this is more likely, finish giving him the directions to wherever he wants to go and say something when he leaves like "Nice to meet you Mr. Elfman" and walk off while he looks confused. And then kill myself two blocks away. *laughs* ok, maybe not the last part. Seems like a perfectly normal reaction to me^^

*shrug* I'd do it. If I ever had to give the guy directions, my life would be complete. Well, not the direction-giving part, but the speaking-to-an-insane-sexy-person-and-greatest-musician-of-all-time part. 3nodding heart

I love you people xp You're awesome.
I posted this once on my journal at Deviant Art, but this is how I see myself meeting him. There are two possibilities.
#1)Either I'm at La Luz and I'm looking at something and he walks over to me and says "That's cool, but look at this" and he pulls me over to this fantastique piece of art. Then walks off and I think "That guy has good taste...wait a minute..." And I burst into flames. As he walks back he notices a pile of dust on the floor and grabs a nearby dust pan & sweeps me into the trash can.
#2)Probably while driving down the streets of California with Boingo music blaring. I'll be singing a song, look over and he'll be in the next car. Most likely I'll stare at him and wonder "Gee he looks familiar, but I can't place him for some reason." Then as he drives away it'll hit me "SWEET EFFIN' JUDAS THAT WAS DANNY ELFMAN!" While frantically trying to catch up with him I'll run a few red lights, hit a beamer and run the same old lady over twice. Danny'll park off to the side of the road and as I'm driving up to him, he'll smile with that wonderfully devilish grin and say "What the f--k is wrong with you?"
I'll then step out of the car, walk up to him and say. "I don't know" with a dumbfounded look on my face. In reply he'll pick up a large two-by-four that just happened to be sitting next to him and womp me on the head. I'll pass out and wake up pantless with a bottle of rice milk and three National Geographic films about dolphins. He'll speed off happily, but not before autographing my suspenders.

Have we mention pants-wetting? If not, I think that would be in there, even if just a little.... redface

I just might go into cardiac arrest, to be honest, but I think the more realistic result would be a loss of what little coherency I have, and the prevalence of the accent I try to keep suppressed (it sounds half German, half Japanese. I'm not entirely sure how I got it).

Okay here's another one: How would you react to working with Danny?

Oh, man. Don't think I haven't thought on that one a couple of times.
That would be bliss. I love singing, I love music, and to get a chance to work with him would be like...wow......*zones out*
*smacks self*
I'm not even going to start on being able to sing a duet with him. Catherine O'Hara has no idea how freakin' lucky she is.

Man, see, I'm heading towards directing, so if he ever wound up scoring one of my films: 1) I'd start going to church, because that would be proof there is a God. 2) I'd prolly spend my first session with him trying not to wet myself or scream. 3) At the end of scoring I'd prolly glomp all over him and admit what a huge fan I am and how it was such an honor working with him.

Well, that's pretty interesting.
Myself? I'd probably
1) Upon finding out I would be able to work with him, go home at the first opportunity and have a fangirl spaz attack. 2) Try my hardest to sing and/or speak without aforementioned accent. 3) At the end of scoring, let him know I'd be delighted to work with him again if he needs me to, and then give him a big hug and run home to have another spaz attack.

I can't even play in front of my band director without shaking.
There is no doubt in my mind that if a Danny score had a trombone solo and it fell upon me to play it, I would bust into tears. No doubt in my mind.
