((No action? Time for some Character Development! Hey, Hollywood movies seem to enjoy doing it.))

Luca: ~Rennard Apartment Complex~

Yo ho ho ho, a pirate's life for me...

...when did that song get stuck inside my head?

Things seemed to have slowed down outside as well...course if the cop decides to knock on my door I can always pretend I'm not home...

"No one's home!!"

Heh. I crack myself up.

Luca walked accross the apartment towards his studio/bedroom/living room/dining room...Oh the idyllic bohemian life of an artistic Celestial was what he always wanted...

...well...that and an island paradise to call his own, filled with luscious ladies...but he settled for the loft. He wasn't even sure there were any island paradises left in this forasken world anymore...

There, on a table sat a huge lump of steel. Luca would usually scavenge the alleys and forgotten corners of the city at night in search for decent metallic pieces, taking home bits at a time, or dragging the whole lump behind him.

Hey, this was Andel, if a dark brooding anti-social type was dragging a half-ton lump of metal behind him at 2am no one would find it odd. And if they did, they weren't keen on wanting answers for it anyways.

All around the studio/bedroom/living room/dining room lay various pieces of metal. Debris of untapped artistical value. Car bumpers, window frames, motorbike carcasses, small metal stones he'd patiently put together out of small computer pieces, or metal particles in the ground, all haphazardly laid out in the floor. His latest piece taking shape on his table. He was an artist. He liked taking his time. Refining his art. Perfecting his work. It was just too easy for Luca to take a piece of steel and mold it into something in a few seconds. But his art? That had to be perfect. He'd take weeks or even months before he was happy with anything he was creating.

Outside the room, where his living room should have been had he laid out his apartment the way it should have been, finished pieces cluttered the far wall. A certain female stood out as the source of inspiration for most of the pieces there. He had forgotten how long ago he'd seen her for the last time...

The metal on his table began shifting, and flowing and silently creaking as Luca started shaping his latest creation. And he wondered....

Where are you? Have you forgotten me already?

[[Oh heavens x_X;;; There's markers everywhere in people's posts, but I have no mental visual of what this place is really like or where the markers go. >_<;;
Please tell me someone is going to make a map, and soon? @_@;;;
For now, I'll just have to make up a marker then. x.x;; This is just my opening, and I'll play by ear. I tried reading the first page, got through with it, but then I tried the fourth page. Wow, I'm still lost. xD lol
I'll throw my charrie in, someone snatch it up somehow, please. x_x;;]]

Salutifer: Marker; An abandoned warehouse in the slums of Halcyon [[ sweatdrop : Forgive me]]

I lifted the boy's arm, and stretched the muscles to and fro. The tightening was almost perfect, wasn't broken, but had their not been swelling they would have been able to extend to their fullest.
The boy had stolen food from a shop and the owner had caught him. The owner delt with it his own way, braking a few fingers, and bruising him up pretty bad every which way.
I believe it. It wasn't something a gang would do, and I recall the same shop owner warning me never to do that sort of thing again either, simply because he doesn't like hitting girls.
Poor boy, he was younger than me, but because he was of the opposite sex than me he wasn't given the leisure of simply never returning to the store.
"Eh!" He yelped, as I made his wrist roll. "Watch it there."
A young boy, he'd heal quickly. But only with the proper help.

When I was finished I took out a bottle of aspirin from my coat and turned to the boy's mother.
"This will take down the swelling, most of the pain too." I gingerly placed the half empty bottle in her palm. It was all I had left. "Take one, three times a day."
"Thank you." The mother clutched it to her chest and smiled at me softly. A mother's smile.
I crossed my brow and quickly turned away, I hurried for the cloth-flap door.
"Wait." Her voice carried to my ears and I froze.
Her eyes, I knew it. People with those kind eyes, always did these sort of acts. But I can't, I can't let her, they're already so poor.
The mother handed me a loaf of bread, the ends were moldy, but it didn't matter when you're hungry. "It's all we have, please take it. It's the least we can do."
The boy I had helped looked at the bread from the bed he was resting in; he winced and looked away. It must have been the bread he stolen, and paid for with his flesh.
"You're kind." I took the bread, and broke it from the end. Taking 1/4 of it, and handing the rest back to her. "But you have two mouths to feed."
Before she could say anything else, the bread was in her hands with the bottle of pills and I rushed out the door.
In a small furry my long rain coat wrapped around my ankles, and a long white feather escaped from underneath as well. I grabbed the feather and shoved it into a pocket.
I looked up, towards the sky, but my golden eyes met the ceiling of the abandoned warehouse. I know I shouldn't say abandoned, because in all reality it was swamped with people. Homeless people. All had their sections of the place, some mingled together by small fires while others roamed aimlessly. This place was a small sancutary for them from the outside world.
My steps were brisk as I made my way to the twenty foot high double doors of the condemned building. A door was made within the doors, it was small and one had to crouch to move through it.
Upon exiting the small world within the building I entered a different one, where light pierced my eyes and wind danced with my dirty, shaggy and short hair.
I shoved my hands into my pockets and walked onward.

Salutifer: Marker; slums of Halcyon, heading towards a drug store.

A mile away from my usual hang out place, I went into a drug store I was also often found wandering about.
I headed straight to the back where the pharmacy was and immediately went to work. My fingers nimbly touched, took and discarded items such as aspirin, cold syrup, bandages, gauze, bandage tape into my long and baggy coat.
No one saw it coming, let alone happening.
To appear innocent I took an extra bottle of aspirin and went to the front clerk.
"Sir." I mumbled as I held out my 1/4 of a load of bread in one hand, and the aspirin in another. "I need these, for my friend. Would you accept this as an exchange?"
The man looked at me. Not at me, but my clothes. My back was weighed down with my mutation of wings, which were pulled me forward and making me slump. The bumpy mass covered by the rain coat gave me a hump, and my pasty skin with inhuman eyes peered at him.
"Sir?"
My voice pulled him out of his trance like state and made him shake his head.
"Ah, yea, sure." He took the bread, and looked around. He then roughly shoved my hand away with the aspirin. "Just get out of here before my manager comes."
"Heavens bless." I said as I hurried out of the drug store.
No food for the night, but at least I have my supplies for my rounds tomorrow.

Making down a familiar street [pick a street, any street xD] to my home I heard a man and a woman talk of me.
"Have you seen her?" The woman asked. "The healing hag?"
I suppose my appearance was sort of haggish.
"No, but I know someone who could help you find her." The man looked over his shoulder cautiously. "Look for a man named Jove in the warehouse sanctuary."
I passed by and ceased to listen when I heard the lady speak, "A sanctuary? Ha! That place is hell."
She mustn't need my help that badly. The warehouse was a sanctuary for the needy, she obviously wasn't needy if she laughed at the place.
I continued on my way...

[[If anyone wants to bump into me, that'd be swell. =)
Forgive me Bloom for the craptastic markers. @_@;;;
And for the two long posts. e.e;;;]]

((Hehee, usually we just make up streets >.>
So it's just
NAME~ANY LOCATION, specifics~

So Salutifer~Slums, Misdred Street.~
*~*))

Korin ~Isis HQ~
"Well, it's been a rough day... I think I'll go out for a walk." Korin got up from the table, bidding Mizumi and Deirdre good bye.
She pushed in her chair and walked through the doors and down the hallway. She stepped into the elevator and leaned against the mirrored walls, sighing to herself.
Just a walk in the park... she thought. I'll feel better...

As she stepped outside (despite several Isis employees calling her name), she took in a breath of fresh air. Well, whatever "fresh" could be considered in Halycon. She walked to the park and wished the trees were not fake. However, the grass was real, and so were some of the flowers, so she walked across the lawn, taking in the sights, and then made her way down town.
She wanted to find Sazuko, but she really didn't know where to find her. From the way she acted and her career, Korin assumed she lived downtown, in the nasty part of the city. She made her way past the broken bridge and found herslef taking a shortcut beneath the Upper-Level, through the slums.
She didn't like to go this way, but she was frustrated.
The Upper Level held a sort of connection of towers. These buildings controlled everything in the city, from weather to the government. It was a very technilogical area, and it was beautiful with it's wires of gold and sliver. The streets were marble, and the buildings were pure white.
It was strange but amazingly stunning.
Beneath the Upper Level was the Slums. It was dirty, dark, and scary. It was large and made of concrete. It reminded Korin of a sewer.
She saw the makeshift shacks, made out of aluminum siding and other odds and ends from the Junk Yard and frowned. She had lived here when she was younger, and that's how she was found. The Authority of Halycon had forbidden these kinds of lives, putting homeless families into Camps and Shelters. These so-called "Havens" were more like prisons.
She knew that this slum, one of the largest in Halycon, was protected by a secret force, created to destroy anyone who dare disrupt this humble yet peaceful way of life. This formed after three Celestial families (including Korin's) were abducted and given to Chrest.
As she walked, she knew she was being watched by the force, but she didn't care.
She was just passing through.

She continued walking and found herself at an old, beat-up, dirty warehouse and stopped outside, looking up at it. It was surpirising that it withstood the building of the upper level.

((Yo, Bloom? As you can see, I took a LOT of liberties making crap up this time...Please me know if you wanna change anything.... >.> wink )

Salutifer; Slums, Misdred Street, heading back to the warehouse.

I fingered the items I had stolen in my pockets, counting them, making sure they were all there and that I hadn't forgotten anything. Tomorrow would be a busy day.
I recounted them again.
My steps were light, and were carefully placed less I stepped on the edges of my too large coat. my head was bent at a 45 degree angle, eyes staring at least three feet ahead of myself, directly at the ground. I made sure I didn't run into anyone, and also to not make eye contact-- I didn't need people remembering me.
I recounted the supplies some more.
When I reached a corner of a cross road I looked up to see if it was the right street sign. My eyes read the sign, it was correct, but they were distracted by a woman who had stopped outside the sanctuary. She was very slender, and her hair was a beautiful blond with lots of volume... and clean. She didn't belong here.
My eyes darted every which way, she didn't belong in this part of town, other people noticed that too. Why was she looking at the sanctuary?
Three men off in a near by alley way caught my attention.
No. Please no.
They were whispering, smirking, eyeing her carefully.
I quickly hurried over to the woman, I was about to touch her lightly on the sleeve or something-- but I didn't want to startle her.
My hand paused in midair. "You have to leave."
I looked over my shoulder back at the alley way, the men didn't seem to care that now the woman had another with her. One even pulled out what seemed to be a five inch hunting knife. I cringed.
"Please, go."

<*Raises eyebrow at bunny rabit's second post*. Now that's just freaky... "Jove"? I have about 4 RPing character names I use all the time. Blaine, Parafli, Gyt and... Jove. *is scared*.

I'm sick of waiting for the sick girl. Not to be rude, but one would think she'd have healed by now...>

Parafli ~Ontop of Hiram's car~

"God I hate humans..."

He said simply, lieing low and barely moving as the man swerved to and fro, stopping and stalling. Waiting a bit to allow his body to get used to the car's movements, he inched backwards slowly, his hands gripping tightly to either side of the vehicle. Finally he reached the back of the vehicle, dropping himself carefully onto the trunk. He knew he wouldn't be able to hold onto anything there, so he worked quickly and smashed the back window with his foot, bringing his thick boot right through to carve an enormous hole in the window. Rolling inside, he landed in one of the back seats, beside Duncan.

"Alright then... let's begin this little game, shall we? You can either explain to me which one of the companies you so obviously work for... or I can just kill you now."

He fully expected the driver and possibly someone else to start screaming uncontrollably. But he really didn't care. Officers and such were likely already trailing him for killing the poor man in the other vehicle. He wasn't in this for money or anything... he just got entertainment out of assassinating members of AGSA and Chrest. Celestials or not, he killed them... he wanted those companies finished, and wouldn't stop until they were gone.

"So? You gonna answer me, or am I gonna have to kill you just out of boredom. I rather like to know which group of people my victims are from before destroying their very existence. And you! Driver!"

He called up to Hiram, narrowing his eyes.

"I don't think someone with such low intelligence of yourself would be permitted to work for either AGSA OR Isis. So if you wish, feel free to abandon the car now. Though, if you do so, do it while it's moving... it's more entertaining for me that way."

Laughing, he cracked his knuckles and stared back at Duncan.

"Hurry up, mate. I don't have all day."

((Okay, this is probably partially my fault - mimi was such a big part of the Rp when we first started (her two characters are my main character's best friend and long missing brother) so I sort of abandoned the Rp along with her when she went missing. And I still miss her presence. >.< But it's my responsibility to keep the life-blood pumping, so let's go! We've all waited long enough for our Rping partners to respond, so if they haven't, get the character to a place where there is action.

And kick me if I get anything wrong. Politely, but kick me all the same.))

Hiram: ~Speeding Car, Down Buxel Avenue~

Scowling, Hiram cocked his gun towards the newcomer. It probably wasn't the smartest move to be making, but Hiram was stubborn quite before genius. Dealing with Isis as often as he was unfortunately forced to meant that he was used to be scared out of his wits, and now is only reaction was one of instant anger.

"AGSA," He said proudly. "Now get out of my car, you damn lab rat! I only care about this bloke, the Freedom Movement fella, not you!"

Deirdre: ~Slums, Misdred Street, heading back to the warehouse~

Deirdre had nodded politely enough when Korin excused herself for privacy purposes, but now that a few minutes had passed she had a gnawing, bad feeling in her gut. Besides the "push" motion she'd demonstrated before, she sometimes had a little residual psychic capabilities...or at least a sense that helped her know when a comrade was quite possibly in trouble.

"Mizumi, I'm keeping the communicator in. I have a bad feeling. Talk to you later."

She stood and left, following variably the same path that Korin had. It was hard to follow along exactly, but the 'vision' she was getting at the moment - or whatever you call it - was powerful and would allow her no rest. She just had to keep going, one step at a time.

Let's just hope I can get there fast enough. I mean, I know Korin is fully capable of taking care of herself and all...

But Deirdre didn't know. She'd always been over-protective of her friends.

Sazuko
((sorry guys for being away so long.))

Sazuko: ~Rennard Apartment Complex~
"The hell...?" Things were not going her way today. Not to mention that the apartment owner was probably going to make her pay for the damage...

Sammuel: ~Rennard Apartment Complex~

Sammuel followed her. When he saw the mess he shook his head. "This looks like trouble. I've got to check this out. Stay behind me," he said as he drew his gun again and knocked politely on the door across the hall. There was a lot of shattered glass there and some strange noises coming from the room. "Hey!" he shouted. "Any one in there hurt?"

((Weeeeee're back in business people

*kicks Bloom for good measure xd :*))

Luca: ~Rennard Apartment Complex~

"Hey! Any one in there hurt?"

"Nobody's home!"

Wait...did I say that out loud...

Heh...I crack myself up....

Now who coudl that be...I'm not expecting any company...well except for all the people who's family I've killed...but I don't think they would have managed to find me...the media keeps the masses entertained with the faceless murderer...and hell I still got my face so...

Luca walked towards the door...forgetting a small detail. While working on the metal sculptures he had used his body as a "third arm" so to speak, so some of the metal was gnarled and twisted all over his body, giving it the appearance of Bio-organic armor...and now he was wearing it....

The protruding metal that looked like a scythe sticking out of his back wasn't real friendly looking either.

He twisted the door handle and opened the door widely. He was never one to remember to be careful...he was just lucky sometimes....

Eh? What the...what's this cop dude doing here? Oooooo and the chick!

Oh right...they live accross the hall...wait no....SHE lives accross the hall...he's just here to...

...to...

...is that a gun?
