Shigoro's sword seemed to blur, as did Shigoro himself, as Takashi's foot was knocked back away from his target. Shigoro was sitting about a foot and a half to the left of where he had been. "Better, but not quite. At least you made me move. Again." He readied his sword and bent his knees slightly, preparing for whatever the Vizard was going to throw at him next. this one had promise.
((Nice. this could get interesting.))

(( Like I said, the blast went straight on to hit everything else in the way after it went through the clone. Including your forest and barrier. Those are gone now, disrupted just like the clone.
The Acolyte-level thing is mostly for control of Vizard powers; it doesn't reflect upon my character's Shinigami abilities, which are rather more extensive. ^^ In raw power, we're in completely different worlds. Fortunately, my character doesn't care enough to go around showing off; he's perfectly content to let you hate him or think he's a loser. XD He's too lazy to even try to change your mind. Flandre, his Hollow Side, just wants to eat you... ))
The powers in the air around Rednal simply vanished as they came in at him. "Lesson Two. I don't need beams to cancel out your attacks." the voice answered, wagging a finger at Shigoro. The Shinigami art of Hanki was a technique to cancel out the powers of the opponent by equaling and neutralizing them, and to really use effectively, it took a lot of ability to think on your feet, good analytical skills, and a good grasp of one's powers. It was mostly learned in the 2nd Division in Soul Society, although some from the 12th, being scientists and all, also had the aptitude for it. "Also, if you hadn't noticed, I was already leaving. See, trying to salvage your pride like you're kicking me out rather than the fact that I'm leaving on my own is exactly why you're never going to become great. If you want honor, try getting a little bit yourself first; you're a yapping puppy desperate to show off so that you'll be acknowledged by the pack. Try asking for a real fight when you can stand on your own. You don't yet deserve a real fight with my better half." Bit stubborn, isn't he? Yeah. It's kind of sad. Here I am trying to help him despite his lack of true power, and he still believes he's on top of the world. I gave him hints and everything on how to get better. Can I eat him now? No. He can think whatever he wants about us; it won't change reality. Rednal was very far past the stage where he cared what anybody thought about him. Shigoro could like him or hate him, it didn't really matter all that much. They'd tried to help the guy, now it was up to him to decide if he wanted to be helped or not. He probably wasn't going to be, at least not until someone crushed him with overwhelming power, which Rednal was far, far too lazy to do.

My Eyes Can't Be Hazed. This... is getting interesting... It had been a while... a LONG while, since Takashi had to actually think or work in any fight he was apart of, spar or otherwise.
Takashi took in a deep breath, and exhaled. He was outskilled in terms of speed and obvious power. He didn't think, however, that Shigoro had a complete read of his style yet. He half-crouched, zanpactou lowered behind him, eyes closed. They then shot open and he shot at Shigoro, then flickered, appearing at 8 different spots around Shigoro, attacking his left, then shot a full-blown attack from behind.

Shigoro's eyes widened imperceptibly as Takashi used an eightfold Shunpo afterimage. He blocked the image to his left, and then heard the sword whistling towards him from behind. Shigoro used Shunpo to get out of the way, but Takashi's sword still bit into his arm deep enough to draw blood. "Good, very good. Now try ramping up the speed." Shigoro used his Shunpo and disappeared. Craters appeared in the ground all around Takashi, and shigoro's dry laugh could be heard all around the warehouse. Light, skin-deep gashes were aimed at Takashi from various angles. "Come, now. Can you ramp you speed up yet again?"

My Eyes Can't Be Hazed. Takashi simply nodded, and didn't take the time to land on the ground. He simply cut out his sense of sight, closing his eyes. With Okami's Shikai ability making his senses excede that of even a Bloodhound's and the addition of his sense of sigh darkened, he could clearly hear Shigoro all the way down to his clothes flapping with the wind. This was when he was most deadly. His reaction time, logical thinking, and rational processing sped up greatly.
Within the first three seconds of doing this, he could hear everything in slow motion. 4...5...7 of them he could locate right off the bat. He finally hit the ground and spun, blocking three of the gashes, and stood perfectly still for a moment, allowing the other three to fly next to him, missing him and hitting the ground.
8....12.... He ducked to avoid one, spun to avoid another, used his zanpactou to block five all in a row, then, for some reason stood still, getting hit by four gashes. As he was hit, another Takashi appeared right along side Shigoro, thrusting at his torso. Takashi was maxing out his Shikai speed, and had the speed to generate solid after images while using shunpo.

Shigoro's speed blurred for a split second. He seemed to possess twelve arms in the instant that Takashi thrust at him. At least half of them connected, the rest either missing or being blocked. This kid was good. He'd had to use Shunpo and Sonido at the same time to escape his slowest strike. "Very good. Very good indeed. I wonder how far you can push me before I will have to release my Zanpakuto. Not much farther I think." He said this while continuing to strike at Takashi, buying time until he could disengage. At this speed the smallest move could mean his own death, or worse, his defeat.

My Eyes Can't Be Hazed. Takashi allowed the blow to hit his shoulder, but that was all he needed. At his current level, Takashi wouldn't have been able to his Shigoro, but he thought back for a second to the basics of his training: Take a hit to deal a hit. The moment the blade connected, Takashi grabbed Shigoro's arm and shoved his blade into Shigoro's stomache, then released the hold with a kick-off aimed at the same point the blade entered. Finally, with a shunpo, Takashi landed about five or so feet back. He inhaled and exhaled again; the hit delt to his body was worse than he wanted, but it was managible.

Shigoro looked down at the hole in his gut. this kid was... good. He was actually going to have to call out Makoi to deal with him. Shigoro's eyes turned gold as his mask manifested. "Congratulations, Takashi. You managed to get past the first stage of my training. Now comes the hard part: Survive against me." Shigoro disappeared, his voice crying out from thin air, "Divide the Heavens, Nanatsu Kagami!" A flash of yellow and a thrumm of current was all the warning Takashi had before three bolts of lightning lanced at him. Shigoro's voice issued from a single point in space, but he wasn't there. "This is my best evasion. I combine a constant state of Shunpo with the speed of a Sonido. It takes a huge toll on my body later, but my union with Makoi partially elevates that and the weightlessness that my Shikai creates in its Black Blade form completely alleviates it. Let the fun begin."

My Eyes Can't Be Hazed. Takashi's face showed shock, but he managed to block all but one of the light attacks. However, even if he was stunned by the new developement, he knelled grinning somewhat; he knew what he had to do to beat Shigoro now. He stood up, shaky at first, then replaced his zanpactou in it's sealed form and sheathed it. Both hands went open-palmed and he got in a melee/fist fighter stance, feet shoulder-wigth apart, waiting for whatelse Shigoro would throw at him.

Shigoro smiled despite himself.. Takashi was giving himself a handicap. From thin air issued the chant: "Forbidden Spell: Bakudo 100. Ikkikensei Chirensa!" A pillar of diamond sprang up around Takashi, pinning his limbs. Shigoro appeared, shimmering slightly despite his stationary state. "Ikkikensei Chirensa binds you in a pillar of diamond. I stopped it mid-casting so you could still escape. I wonder how you will escape this spell?"

"And still nobody knows how to be quiet," Raiden mumbled as he took his pillow and placed it over his head to cover his ears. The sound of fighting was not welcoming to Raiden's rest. In the future however, maybe Raiden would learn how to sleep through such noise.

This was interesting: Good at combat and good at Kido. However, dispite appearances, Takashi wasn't handicapping himself. Rather, he was buffing himself, defense wise. When it came to defense, his hands were his best tools. The pillars that caged him were, at best, mediocre. He simply built up his spiritual energy at one point, his left ankle. Within a few seconds, enough energy gathered so that, with one burst, his left leg was free. He channeled his energy in his left foot, and swong his foot foreward, and let loose the energy out in one burst again. The right foot came free. He swong up and was now upside-down.He simply used shunpo to twist, first left, then right. He wasn't able to break the pillar, so he couldn't spin completely, but the twisting motion wore down the pillars. After five sets, he finally shunpo'd, breaking the pillars. He landed, and went back to his stance. He had to play the waiting game right now. It was all he could do.

((Excuse me, but could you please explain how you just broke through four pillars made of solid diamond using only concentrated reiatsu? Ikkikensei Chirensa binds the target in a giant pillar of diamond. They can still move through it as if it were water and breathe it as if it were air, etc. but they can't just up and leave it, nor can they use any non-Shikai technique to leave. It's a custom Bakudo I came up with.))

((Imagine all the reiatsu/spirit energy a Captain+Shkai+Vizard Mask holds. Now imagine that it's all gathered in one area of the body, very small and very concentrated. Now, if all that was released at once, it would use a massive amount of energy. He does this twice. Not even diamonds can withstand that much power.))

((Point well taken, but it has to tire him out severely. Captain or no, it's still four pillars of diamond, and that takes a lot of reiatsu))
