((Intern = teen. Okay ^^; )) Lex was making a list in its mind. That one girl with the hot bod seemed to have a head on her shoulders, and the mechanic would have been nice to have on its side, but the pirate seemed to already have them in her 'crew'. Still, Lex would keep tabs on them. One chick who seemed a bit like Lex had walked over to the poor gamer boy. Another potential alliance. As far as food went, Lex decided to see if the other campers survived eating it first...

..This kid really didn't get out much, did he? There was a part of Annabel- small, to say the least- that genuinely felt bad for the guy. If you could look past the extreme social inability, there was a friendly guy in there. Somewhere. Hell, maybe this kind of thing would be good for him? Shaking the worry from her thoughts, Annabel went back to focusing on his words.
She'd missed the introduction of where the hell they were, apparently, since she'd only hopped onto the tail end of the group. Her thoughts? It was a summer camp from hell. Or maybe it WAS Hell, she wasn't too sure about anything. All she could really do was try to survive, for now.
"Me? Ah, s**t, that's actually really embarrassing," she laughed quietly, for once genuine in her words. "I was told there was some kind of poetry reading I could go listen to, and I always try and support that kind of thing. And then? Wham. Here I am, confused and alone." Pouting slightly, Annabel took this moment to look over the rest of the Mess Hall.
"Wherever HERE is, anyway.."

She looked around. "I guess I should take the offensive" She mumbled, obviously not happy. She saw a group of campers forming and decided to head over and see if she could get in with them, they didn't seem that scary/ annoying. She flipped her ponytail back, keeping her hair out of her face, and strolled up to them, waiting for a pause in their conversation. "Hello" She mumbled to the girl in the pirate style clothes.

Ratchet shook her head at the mention of dyes. "No thanks! I'd just mess up any dye put in my fur with grease spots and sawdust. And my claws..." She examined them. They were short and rounded, with chips and cracks throughout. All the hammering she did often put her poor claws in a good deal of trouble. "But it looks good on you, though. I'd just hate to ruin it." She nodded at the bright audio. A girl with a personality to match her bright dye could pull off such an appearance. Looking around at the mess hall again, she stared up at the ceiling. The beams were sturdy-looking from here, but oh, what she would give if she could replace them with cedar. It would lighten the whole look of the building, not to mention make the room smell nice. "I wonder where the wood shop is," she murmured, mostly to herself.

Carmen looked over to see where Noel had found a seat at. Oh good. That looked big enough. From the looks of it, they might need every seat at the table. She thought he was awful nice to her on the docks, and he was chummy in here too. Maybe he could be a camp pal. Always need camp pals. They are what make being in stifling hot cabins and being bitten up by mosquitoes.
She smiled and scooted back to lean against a wall next to the window where the food would come from. She kept looking at it and wondering when they'd get fed. If it was anything that looked like meat, she wasn't sure if she should eat it or not. What if they were cannibals and fed you cooked meat off of a dead camper? Maybe that's why they didn't want anyone in the kitchen.
She smiled and waved at all the people who were gathering around them.

"Oh. Em. Eff. Gee."
Tiffany had pawed into the mess hall only to find that it was extremely full of other campers. And they all looked so... strange. One looked like a piratess, one had tattoos of strange birds, one was extremely colorful... And they were all freaks. Tossing her raven-black hair over her shoulder, she worked her way into the middle of the crowd, waiting for somebody to talk to her. She wasn't one to just initiate a conversatio. She was above doing the dirty work of others.

A poetry reading? That didn't sound like the sort of thing this girl would be into at all... then again, poetry fans were always weird people in some way or another. The LARPer briefly wondered if she wrote poetry and, if she did, if it were any good. She seemed like the creative type, anyway, so who knew?
"Wherever here is, we're all stuck here now," Simon sighed. "I-I guess we'll just have to make the most of it..." If that's even possible...

Elli almost didn't hear the soft mumble of hello. Pointedly she stared at the girl, "Yer gonna hafta speak up!" She said this with an amused smirk.
Her smirk grew even wider when she noticed more and more were gathering around them. However, the new girl who had made her way into the middle made her quirk a brow. Had Tiffany made a greeting, Elli would have thought she had gumption.
But there was no greeting of any sort. It was a waste of initiative in Elli's opinion and it gave off a feeling of pretension in her opinion. So she reacted accordingly and ignored her, instead focusing her attention on the others "Any o' ye gots an idea o' whats in store fer us?"

Helena Rose entered the mess hall and ducked a little at the sight. She didn't realize there was going to be this many campers. All she wanted was a small camp, make a few friends, enjoy the outdoors, and have a good time. She began to wonder if she was getting in over her head with this. Not that she really came here willingly though...She walked a little farther inside and looked around for a friendly face.

Ratchet shrugged. "The brochure I got said something about character-building. Emphasis on the building. They had me at the bandsaws; I saw all these pictures of an absolutely up-to-the-minute wood shop, along with a machine garage and all kinds of things to tinker with. The flyer even said something about a sawmill. But I'm guessing that, given the color of this room, they haven't modernized in a while. But it's a summer camp, and where there's arts and crafts, there's gotta be at least some balsa wood, or a canoe to er... fix. So how'd they get you guys?"

"I been promised adventure. Mebbe not high seas, but thar be the lake." Elli shrugged, "Though me ma and pa says a bit o' normal be good fer me." She rolled her eyes, obviously her parents had different definitions of what normal was.

Cotton couldn't stay by herself the whole time, could she?
She wanted to try, she really did. However, maybe one of the other campers could direct her to the giant dancing stuffed animals that just had to be here.
She tilted her chin upward, and the first person she saw was Helena Rose. She didn't seem very frightening... and she wore awfully pretty clothes.
"He... hello..." she said, her voice trailing off-- in the end it could be hardly heard amongst all the others. Maybe someday she'd build the courage to speak loudly. Maybe.
Probably not.

"I don't think there's anything normal about this place," Ratchet said, pushing her bangs back again and twisting one of the wingnuts on her right wristband. "If this is a lake, then why's there sharks in it? Sharks are ocean fish, right? And I know I heard the gal who left and whatsisname, the man with the shiny hair, Chris something- I heard them arguing about sharks in the water. And I don't think I have any shark repellent with me. But adventure sounds fun! Stuff to nail together and whatnot." The dark-colored audio nodded, trying to forget about the sharks.

Helena thought she heard something, but it was hard to tell amongst the chatter of all the other campers. She looked around here and there, her face almost looked worried now. Everyone else seemed to be hitting it off with each other and she was still by herself. Her blue eyes caught a glimpse of a camper looking at her. She nervously sidled back and forth before approaching the blue camper with pink hair. She looked her up and down, trying to see if there was a tell-tale sign of her interests or what-not. "Ummm...cute duckie" she said shyly. She didn;t want to make a bad first impression.

Nigel had trailed behind the rest of the group as they travelled from the dock to the mess hall. The host guy seemed more then a little obnoxious but apart from dragging him here without any real explanation, Nigel didn’t have an issue with him just yet.
As he finally joined his fellow campers in the mess hall, Nigel saw that he wasn’t the only one wanting answers and figured that bombarding that Chris person with questions at this stage probably wasn’t going to get him anywhere.
Deciding to go against all his instincts to but in and add his two cents, Nigel found himself a seat at one of the back tables, took his hat and sunglasses off, and let his head slam down onto table. He needed more sleep and sincerely hoped that if he was going to be stuck here for any great length in time, that the whole camp wouldn’t be this noisy 24-7.
