"No, I am not mad that you let them go....The Espada are one thing, but Asura is in a league of his own. I'm not sure if I'd even be able to kill him." said Sayori, before entering his office.

"ALright... But I don't know why he didn't try to take us out... Think he might behave? Unlike Aizen?" he asked before Sayori closed his door. "Im going to deliver htis note to Squad 12 and I'll be back."

Megumi came out of the bathroom, hair in a towel and thinking to herself deeply. "Megumi-chan?" Megumi let out a startled cry and saw Suke and Mamo on the bed, "Oh...It's you two..." Suke frowned and Mamo flew towards her, "What's wrong with you? You've been jumpy..." "It's nothing," Megumi replied as she brushed her hair, "I-I'm just..." "Is it about that arrancar that told you that you were his new experiment?" Megumi paused as Suke sighed, "I'm your zanpukto spirit Megumi...Mamo and I know..." "I just don't want Sayori or anyone worrying about me...I've always been a burden. I don't want everyone to worry about me..."

With the moon steadily rising over the skies of Seireitei, Sayori stumbled back into his office. Not since squad twelve, had he been reduced to a small sleeping quarters. "It's worth it..." He mumbled before laying down on his couch. It was lumpier than he remembered, but cast that thought aside. What was truly on his mind was what had distraught Megumi.
"There were Espada there...did one hurt her? No, Megumi's stronger than that. She's probably hurt because she killed one of their top five..." He said to himself. There was an entire world of possibilities, but all of them made sense. He sighed staring at a single tile on the ceiling. "Women are so confusing..."

"They are aren't they?" Suke appeared before Sayori, frowning, "Sayori, I need to warn you about something. It has something to do with Megumi-chan...."

Sayori yawned, lying down on the couch. He looked up at Suke, asking, "Really, what's happened to her? Is she injured and not telling me?" To most it would seem that the young Captain was not concerned about Megumi, while actually he was just too tired to sit-up.

Suke sighed knowing that Sayori was a bit tired, "I'm sorry that if my talking will keep you up a bit longer, but..This is important. Today on the mission, an arrancar named Spindel approached Megumi. Mamo and I were in shiki form, but we could feel her fear and his little introduction to her. He told her that...She'll would be his new experiment. To keep it short, please keep Megumi in your sight please. This Spindel seems serious..."

"I'll start immediately." Said Sayori as he walked over to the door heading to his room. With his hand on the knob he knocked just within the audible range. "Megumi, are you dressed?" He asked, with his hand still on the knob.

Suke sighed and opened the door revealing a sleeping Megumi in bed, "I'm already watching her don't worry." Mamo said as he watched her like....Well, like a hawk which he was. Suke rolled his eyes, "Not funny Mamo. This is really serious. We can't afford to let Megumi be endangered."

Without making a sound, Sayori walked over to his bed. To the captain his lieutenant was beautiful when she slept. She seemed relaxed, like the stress of the world had left her. He smiled setting his hand on her cheek; it was soft. Her skin and hair was like his, but their eyes differed dramatically - Megumi's were a stunning blue, while Sayori had deep blood red ones.
"Good night, Lieutenant Megumi Rhozen...." He whispered to himself, as he pulled the silk sheets up to her shoulder. Turning around he reached into his pocket and removed a small box. The box was made of ebony and shined brightly as a moonbeam struck the top. He looked at the box and let out a small sigh. "Why does it have to be so hard?" He uttered before walking to a bookshelf. Once he stood in front of it he removed three books, each one adjacent to the other. Behind the books rested a small nook, where small gadgets could be found. He set the box there and replaced the books before walking back to his front office. "Suke, do your best to watch her, but let her use some of her own strength. She not as defenseless as she may seem." He said as the door shut silently behind him.
With the door behind him, closed, Sayori walked to his couch and removed the blanket from under it. He slid down onto the bed and let the sheet drape over him. With everything in place, Sayori slowly drifted off to sleep.

Suke nodded as Sayori left, "Come on Mamo." The spirts slowly merged back into their sealed forms as Megumi rolled over in the bed.

The next morning Sayori awoke feeling fully rested, but at the same time he felt unfathomably tired. It was quite the paradox, to be honest. He looked around his office and saw that every bit of it was well lighted. This excess light did not suit him, so he decided to go sleep in his own bed.
He walked in his room and was surprised to see his lieutenant resting there. He had forgotten entirely about her visit; however, since she was there, he might as well make the best of it. He tip-toed over to his bed and lifted the covers. Slipping under the blankets, he slid right behind his lieutenant and wrapped his arms around her. He was either going to get slapped or a kiss; either way he'd get a laugh out of it.

Megumi, who was in a deep sleep, didn't even sense her captain at all and just snuggled close to him. "So warm.....Wait..." She slowly opened her eyes and glanced up at him. The look on her face was priceless when she saw her captain....IN THE SAME BED!!!!

Amazingly enough, Sayori had fallen asleep. He smiled, holding Megumi close to him. If she listened close enough, she would have been able to hear his heart. He woke up slowly and smiled as he saw her face; it was priceless.
"My Megumi-chan...." He mumbled, closing his eyes again. Smiling, his face neared hers and nuzzled her. "I love you..."

Megumi blushed darkly, not knowing if she should....
1) Shove him out of the bed
2) Slap him for doing this to her
or 3) Scream out and spazz....
She chose none of the above and continued to stare up at Sayori with a shy expression on her face that grew a darker shade of red on her cheeks by the seconds, "G-Good morning," she managed to squeak out.
