Well, what do you think?
  Good, I like it.
Good, but needs some more work.
  Meh
  Bad, it needs work.

More hot chic... rather, talented female RP'ers would be nice.

Yeah, all the other suggestions were top notch as well. -Returns to watching Hentai on his PSP-

Also, the ladies tend to do a bit better with the whole story line thing. Add some drama..

Mmhmm, along with Pixie-elf I hope to bring along another female, whom admittedly is about as rowdy as some guys. Also, instead of simply mentioning this, ya'll can go out and maybe recruit a few? Maybe?

The Los^T idea is good, but I have always had a portion of my heart set aside for Arena Fighting... Gladiatorial Games, that sort of thing... While a Fight Club does sound like an interesting idea, I don't think it would make a good guild... unless the Coliseum ended up being a televised event and you could watch it in bars and stuff in the other parts of the coliseum... you know? I know the Los^T has this, but I think giving TGC a more sophisticated look would benefit it... you could even have training zones...

though I'd not reccommend placing them in different threads.. that was the problem with the GPD.. too many different threads. I think just a few threads for a Bar and social place like that and then people make their own for the fights (like we've been doing) would be fine. I don't know... the Leviathan always had people who were uber committed to it, and would live their lives in it and eat in it and sleep in it. If TGC could get those kinds of people, it would always be active.

But maybe more technology could be used? like a great, big, plasma screen TV televising a fight of particular interest in a bar or something? You could have cameras floating around the arena, and ones involved in monitoring the battle, things of that nature... people could comment on it... you kow.. make it some big event.

Well, TGC would remain mostly the same, but mainly the Fight Club part would be giving a reason behind all these random fights. There would be the social bit as a normal bar, and then the stadium and such. Just "two" areas, basically. Bar, Arena. Though the arena would be many threads, as we've been doing like you mentioned.

It would retain the arena fighting bit, but give a lounge to hang out in as well ^_^

As for adding tech and shtuff, I've been thinking of it. Televised events are fun >.> This can be hammered out along the way. I'd like to get a somewhat mass input on the idea and hammer it out all together.

As for commitment, I find this to be like most of what I'm doing nowadays >.<

Thought I'd bring this to everyone's attention because it makes some rather good points, not only the PM to me, but my reply as well

I like the idea of plucking warriors from their own times and dropping them into ours. But I think that the reason behind it should be a bit more... epic, than a simple extratemporal Fight Club. What would the reasoning behind plucking folks from their happy little world and placing them in ours?

Well, at the moment that would require a bit of chatting with Jansy Boy. I have my own ideas and such, but the overall storyline would be in the distant future and not there here and now anyhow. >.> I'll PM you several of my ideas because I want to keep this bit secret until I can talk to Jansy Boy about it more.

I wasn't aware of such, especially with the other shtuff I PMed you as well. Then again, nothing has yet been set in stone.

Ok, I'm thinking of changing up the guild a bit. My ideas are as follows.

  • A storyline is to be introduced with basically a character of mine and Jansy Boy's, with his permission. Raine Seagriff and Atlas Rostfrei.
  • The fightclub atmosphere is to be maintained, but also a more laidback setting with comes from the next point.
  • I am fed up with another guild known as the Brink of Time. I want to emulate such an idea, where individuals are stolen from their own times and brought to a bar in the middle of timelessness. Though, I'll have a better explaination for the phenemenon.
  • I do not mean for this to be an offense to Tavin, owner of the Brink, but the way it'll work won't please him one damned bit.
  • I have thoughts of working with Tavin, but I know he'd give me the finger, or worse.
  • The number of characters would have to be limited to one or two.
  • Deaths would be dealt with differently. Once you die, you're gone, but the character remains living. Sent back to their own reality/world/time and never brought back unless by some other force.
  • This would include a tourney of sorts, but after its set up is complete.

I'd like feedback ^_^
Gives feedback as requested:

  • Storyline will be fun, be sure to be able to incorporate everyone who wants to be in it; sure the two main characters, thats great, but you will have to usher the new people in too you know. Don't make anything TOO inner circle.

  • Oh yes, more than one fightclub, that scene is nice. I agree. Perhaps a sub forum for them or something? Keep them and the pointless OOC out of your hair.

  • Brink of whatever 3-5 do not concern me, I care not for your petty disputes nor for your imaginary transportation plans.

  • Character limitations is a good idea, however 2 is a nice low number, let the people have their creative juices flowing seeing as you RP as more than 5 I think. Set the limit at 5, since that limit will not be crossed anytime soon by anyone who really RPs here. If it gets out of hand, obviously, just lower the number abd remove those who you find 'unworthy' leaving only one character sheet per person. They won't mind, just let them archive the things somewhere. An archive isn't a bad idea...

  • Be wary of hw you deal with death, sending people out of the guild tends to send ripples into the community with a 'telephone' effect. In other simple words, they'll tell there friends you are an honest upstanding leader who did the right thing and their friends will tell theirs you like honest upstanding cocks and thiers will... etc.

Death is a major issue, since many RP characters, when they admit death, are being quite admirable. That and you never know who your best recruiter will be.

  • I suggest a section on how to RP within the confines of your guild. Not everyone has common sense, and the rules are never enough. If you have faith in the AMP, get a copy of it here; or whatever other rules you can come up with. You could also teach others... for a small fee.

  • Tournaments are fun, pay a few Gaians to recruit people for you. However, be advised that if you don't plan on being on, letting other people oversee your events isn't wise. No matter how long you have known them.

You asked, I gave my opinion. I have more, but lets face it, its not like anyone listens anyway...

Easy. Make them crave to be the best so they can "beat the boss". In a strange way I'm serious, let the best have a staged fight against the "evil who threatens to consume the universe" and win. Who cares? I'll play the part even. Either that or make them... Er... Nevermind. Oh, and, no tentacle mosters for that role, I said beatable.

~Okies ye asked for feedback so I shall.
The storyline plot sounds very intriguing. Ye got moi intersted in it as well congrats.
Anyways, the fightclub idea is very well put and spoken. T's good.

Hm intersting about the times. I haven't hear such a thing. Now I want to get involved. crying gonk LoL.

I do not know who Tavin, is so I give ye full support on ye opinion monsieur.

Hm....one or two charachter limitation. What exactly do ye mean when ye say that besides the obvious only two or one person is allowed but, in depth I'm not quite adequate of what ye are trying to elaborate when ye say that idea.

That sounds fine with the deaths all of us ain't invincible eh??? xp

Okies...can't wait until it starts monsieur and good-luck. wink ~

Alright, as I said to Tor last night I'm going to put my word in about this right here and now before it goes any further.

Mostly against this here...
Quote:

# I am fed up with another guild known as the Brink of Time. I want to emulate such an idea, where individuals are stolen from their own times and brought to a bar in the middle of timelessness. Though, I'll have a better explaination for the phenemenon.

# I have thoughts of working with Tavin, but I know he'd give me the finger, or worse.

When I started Los^T I put myself in contact with Tavin and told him that in no way did I want this to be an affront to the Brink. I even made it clear that Los^T was not in any way based on the Brink, that it was in fact based on a chatroom RP from years and years ago.

So, with this in mind, after hearing a bit of the feedback from you all and reading Tor's PM over again I'm making my official word as Crew and creator of Los^T.

Los^T will not be the main storyline of the Coliseum, nor will it be in any way further emulating the Brink of Time. It will remain how it was.

Two things though.

I will be approaching Tor with the idea that we replace the current resting spot bar type thing here in the Coliseum with Los^T, because I'll admit I don't want to see it die and we have some of the best writers and RPers here to visit it. ^^ It won't be the main storyline, just a little aside of sorts, "we're just here and open for business" and such.

I do have a few ideas for a storyline, which I will pose to Tor before I make public, though I would like you all to vote on the poll here to make things run smoothly.

I DIDN"T KNOW YOU WERE PART OF THIS GUILD TOO! TALK BOUT SMALL WORLD!!! scream lol

now to my opinion
I dont' really mind what you do. At the moment I am agreeing wholeheartedly with everything else you have done here. And don't worry I will only be using one character and thats my main character. Hopefully he doesn't die...he has a fortress to run ya know! Anyway seeing from the RPing skills all of you have here I can't wait to see the story come about. I have been itching for another good RP story. I am a part of 2 others at the moment and one of them is dying slowly. Damn...wait. Actually I will use 2 characters. I have one other character that might be useful in this story...if it comes about lol. Good luck and hopefully this story happens soon! mrgreen

Hrm, personally, here are some ideas that poped into my head as I was eating carrot cake a little bit ago. I'm not exactly sure how origional they are for my lack of willingness to read back:

*Have a storyline, and a Colloseum prime, or he origional that houses the bar, and such. The rest of the battles as are, each occure on a 'holo deck' of sorts that is reset at the end of matches.

*For oginazation, put either all, or just the over battles in subforums for various catigorization incase anyone wishes to review or re-live each battle. But lock them to keep out spam. e.g. put all the topics from the previous tournament in a subforum, lable it "Tournament 1" and lock all the topics.

*Reset the OOC thread every month or two to keep it from reaching 500 pages and being the only place people actually post. keep the old topics in the subforums, the first post being the general topics that were being discuessed

-on above not, have an OOC room dedicated to just general talking and another to ideas (much as we have now with the announcement for ideas, and the f-around room where there is currently an organ fight going on..)

Well I don't have much feedback, I like the direction it's going and am pretty much ok with whatever pending that it is explained clearly.
