I can't remember if the third season is it or it was renewed for Third and fourth and then cancelled.
Most Western Cartoons get at least a 65 episode run so I wouldn't be shocked if we got one more season to wrap everything up.

Endgame part one was pretty good though I have to admit I was expecting more actual action instead of the introspective flashbacks we saw.
The Omega Lugnuts are going to be interesting even if I think its probably likely that simply taking out Lugnut will be how they go down. Though I did like before they got their Lugnut heads how much they resembled G1's Guardian robots.
The Female Starscream is hopefully going to feature in endgame part 2 or her sudden cameo in part one will seem really gratuitous.

I liked this episode, it was choc-full of explanations. I especially enjoyed the little fight between Lugnut and Shockwave. Lugnut was all "I AM THE MOST LOYAL RAR" while Shockwave was like "Psh. Please. Shut up and lemmie get this code." Pretty awes.
Also interesting was Female Starscream's return cameo. I was wondering about that as well- She flew off as though she had a plan. As always, can't wait for the next ep. Gotta feeling things are gonna wind up nicely.

The other two got blown up after being blasted off by Prowl when we first learned Starscream was cloning.
The other Five showed up with him at the end of Season 2.
Female Starscream was the one we had no clue about until she showed up again in the last episode.

Note to avoid spoiling anyone who missed Endgame part two all the rest of my post shall be in white text just highlight to read.
Okay now that I've seen what is probably going to be the last episode of Transformers Animated I can mention that I was spoiled about Prowl's death shortly before the season began.
At first I wasn't sure I believed the spoiler but after the episode with Sulubot it became clear to me that Prowl was a goner by the final episode of season three. The sheer duex ex machina that Processor over matter was becoming only served to erase any doubt I had left.
So Prowl's big death wasn't shocking and even if I hadn't been spoiled I'd have probably still seen it coming. I mention all this now becuase my one big complaint of the episode is it it kind of felt cheap in a way that PRowl's death was so telegraphed. I mean there was never any doubt that the city would be saved and Optimus wouldn't die but having Prowl use the magic ninja crap to solve the problem in a heavily telegraphed death still kind of bugs me.
That said as far as endings go while it's not perfect it's definately a good end point and if the series doesn't get renewed(which unfortunately is likely) at least there isn't any glaring What happens now questions to really bug folks.
One thing I did like though is seeing exactly how powerful the Magnus hammer actually is. Now it makes sense why the Autobots were so freaked out over it being in decepticon hands.

Ok... I have thoughts on the episode. They will be in white, though, so that I'm not spoiling anyone.
Too Open-ended. Yeah, I knew Prowl was going to die. Yeah, I know that it's possible that this is the final season. But they left too many damn loose ends. What about the constructicons? What about the dinobots? What about fembot Starscream? What about Blackarachnia and Waspinator? What about Wreck-Gar? What about that third Lugnut Supreme? Wouldn't it's bomb have activated as well, even if it couldn't move?
The episode itself just seems like it was slapped together too quick. What about Ultra Magnus? What about Starscream's shard? It was glowing a darker blue than the other shards... That's gotta be indicative of SOMETHING.
I dunno. I see so many opportunities that they can keep this going. Case in point, look at Blurr. When they did the animation model for Blurr, they animated it with his spark still beating in it. Wtf, if they weren't going to keep going with that one? Sheesh.
And what about Team Chaar? Or any of the other Decepticon teams? Does anyone thing they'll just sit around while Megatron is captured?
oh, and WASPINATOR STILL HAVE PLANZZZ!!!

Season two would have been a better stopping point in my opinion, this season end may be a happily ever after but it's not a very good stopping point in my opinion.

The thing that surprised me the most is the fact that Animated was SO good at tying up loose ends, too. So it was sort of a shock that there were so many of them for it to be a so-called final episode. Sari's story isn't really fully explained either.

I get the impression that they were banking on at least a fourth season. With the second Transformers film dropping in a couple of weeks they probably expected CN to renew them for a fourth season.
I get the impression the cancellation forced them to resolve things as quickly as they could.
On rewatching I just noticed that the all spark now looks like the G1 Matrix of Leadership. (Unless that's something else around Optimus' neck during the disembarking scene.

Season 3 ended the way it was always supposed to end. :/ Which is why I am a little confused as to why many things were left...unresolved, and why it was so rushed. AndStarscream'sdeathandProwl'sdeathreallypissedmeoff. Anyway. Damn, what do I do now? Animated is my favourite verse...I can only hope we'll actually get those goddamn comics that are supposed to be what season 4 was supposed to be.
