We get a lot of advance reading copies of series from publishers. One of the few perks of working in a library! whee
The bookstore has a lot of stuff in Japanese, but it also has the largest selection of graphic novels in English that I have ever seen. They almost always have what I'm looking for.

That bookstore sounds like the bomb-diggity! It kinda reminds me of the Anime & Manga store that's here.

I KNEW I forgot to do something while I was in San Diego! Blast it all! I was going to go there and blow a ton of money! Grrr. I'll have to go next time I'm down. Maybe I'll drive down on one of my next days off. Gotta go to Sushi Loco, too. Sounds like a good day trip to me!

Oh, it is! That plate behind it was full of food too. Dinner is usuall more ridiculous, cause we'd only order rolls! That's usually when I'd order a couple pieces of sushi (or sashimi), a golden cali roll, and a tiger roll. Tiger roll has avocado, something else, with salmon and cooked eel on top, covered in teriyaki sauce. That's my second favorite. blaugh

You have good taste if that food tastes even HALF as marvelous as it looks! Now I really do have to go there! It's not anywhere close to where I stayed when I was down there, though, and the manga store was pretty far away, too. I'll have to plan my trip around something other than the beach this next time! lol

I can use chopsticks...sort of! I have the worst style imaginable, and everyone laughs at the way I hold them. It works, though! But my fingers get so tired...
