Damian stood right up from his seat, nearly knocking the chair over. "How the devil did you find this place?"
He was more annoyed than anything that this little hideaway was so easily found, since this was supposed to be their home away from home. Well, not that Raquel or Lorey would ever want to go back, but still.
"Enty!" cried Lorey, and yet this sudden reunion did not sit well with her. There had been a female voice at the door, and yet only this little creature had come inside. "Who else was with you? Was it Vi?" she asked, looking around in case she had missed something.
Damian went to go see for himself if he had more than one unexpected and uninvited guest. "Incredible," he muttered under his breath as he made his way to the breezeway. "Absolutely and utterly... my lord, what has happened?"
And there he saw Vi upon the floor, looking wretched as Raquel simply stared off into space. "Raquel," he nearly barked as he came down upon his knees to the new woman. "Go get Richard, some ice and see if Lorey can get a space cleared on the couch..."

Raquel was still frozen for a moment but quickly shook it off before running to fulfill his commands. In moments, Vi was on the couch, though struggling to get up. 'There isn't any time!" She shouted, trying her hardest to resist the push of everyone wanting her to rest. "I'm sorry If I'm intruding. My name is Vidori Runalian, I'm friends Of Richard and little Enty here." She introduced quickly as she tried to explain how she found them. "I went to the hotel to find you but only to find out you weren't there. I paid highly to find out where i could find you. Though I didn't have enough for cab fare so here I am, out of breath and desperate for help!" Her eyes began watering. "Richard, it's Deilita..." She explained looking to him with large, saddened and horrified eyes. "Someone's trying to kill him. She's some sort of mercenary or assassin of some sort....God.." She looked down, suddenly wondering why she was there. "I should have stayed with him....oh god...I've left him to die..." She looked panicked and utterly exhausted. Though she doubted she was making any sense. Did it matter though? Del was in trouble and Richard was the only one who could help her. "Please..." She looked up at him, tears starting to roll down her face.
Richard stared at her for several moments, not sure of how to comprehend this. "Looks like my trip is coming a bit early..." He sighed, standing as he began pacing.

Damian gave an exasperated noise.
"For the love of... what is going on? Why does someone wish to kill him? People only have assassins assigned to them if they've done something in someone's eyes big enough to deserve death."
Lorey looked from Damian to Richard, heart pounding and mind utterly at a loss. She could help Vi in some way, she was sure of it, even if...
"Richard," she said suddenly. "Go, right now. If Deilita's in that much danger, then you have to leave."
Even if it meant letting go of Richard a little bit earlier than planned.
Damian looked to Raquel and Lorey. If Richard was leaving then, he'd be in charge of two emotionally tense women. This was not going to be fun.
"I still demand an answer. What is going on?"

"Richard...Mentaro..." Raquel spoke out of turn, something rare for her. "Your wife...you used to have a wife named Roseline..." She said quietly, seemingly not even listening to the other crisis at hand. Richard blinked blankly at her for a moment.
"...R-rose...How did you know that?" He asked, suddenly distracted from the issue at hand himself. Raquel seemed to be piecing together the various parts from her memories and past, some from the dark secrets Damian had yet to learn about. Raquel suddenly looked up, her eyes went from looking very dilated and distant, to a sharp, pinpoint stare.
"You said it was an assassin? ...did she have red eyes?" She asked, suddenly turning to Vidori.
Vi looked to her nodding, not even knowing this strange girl. "Yes, you know her?" She asked. Raquel didn't answer her. Instead she turned to Richard.
"I'm going with you." She said with a strange authority and tone to her voice. It was as if she were a different person all together. Even her eyes seemed different. They were a darker, more intense green.

Damian, no closer to having his own questions answered, looked from every face to the next in the group until his gaze settled on Raquel. Strength... the kind he knew she had. It was there laid bare. But he couldn't let her use it, not in the way she wanted to, at least.
"Raquel, you're not well," he snapped. "You still need to regain your strength."
What an awful thing for him to think and assert in front of everyone. Damian's mind justified it, though. Making her seem weak would keep her out of harm's way.
"I'll stay here," he said rather quickly. "Richard, if you're leaving, you may take whatever it is you may need from here... and for goodness' sake, kiss her before you go."
Yet another fear of his exclusively for Lorey was that Richard would leave one this trip and never come back, leaving her not only alone but with no lasting memory to cling to.

Raquel's eyes flashed a paler green before returning dark. "Damian...may I speak with you a moment?" She asked, though her voice hinted a furious tone.
Richard wasn't done with her yet, wanting to know how she knew his wife, but he hoped there would be time for that later. "All I'll need is a car, or speeder or whatever..." He said, reaching his back pocket to make sure his gun was still in place. Turning to Lorey, He grabbed her by the shoulders, taking Damian's advice and Kissing her passionately before letting go. "I'll be back..." He promised looking her dead in the eyes. After seeming to take in her features so as almost to get a 'last look' He turned to Vi. "Are you alright to walk?" He asked and she nodded. Though her foot throbbed, the pain was almost unnoticeable because of the gallons of adrenaline pumping through her veins. She nodded.
"We need to hurry, please!" She tried to hurry not even sure if Deil was alive by now. Richard nodded. Turning to the others he waved heading for the door. "Lorey my love I am sorry...I'll be back though." He gave her a confident wink before Rushing Vi and Enty out the door.

"Speeder is in the garage, password is 'Alpha Centurion.' And do be careful with it."
And with that, he ushered this braver Raquel out to the left, where the library and other empty rooms would be for their own privacy.
Once they were safely inside with the door closed, he calmly turned to Raquel, not saying a word as she had been the one to request a talk with him. Damian still managed to look stately and aloof in these times where he should have been worrying about what was to come next.
Lorey, meanwhile, was kissing Richard as if she never would again: passionately, and where he let go she almost did not.
"I love you," she told him in that small window they had into each other's eyes. All was a great rush to get out of the house and to wherever they had to be. All Lorey could find herself doing as he winked was raising her hand in a little wave, giving a brave smile.
"And I know you will."
And just like that, she was alone in the living room, under a huge open ceiling in a beautiful house that was not her own, with the only thing that was her own gone.

"What was that?!" Raquel demanded, as she paced the room, her head spinning she glared at Damian before getting close to his face. "I could have helped them!" She growled, not sure if she were angry at him or herself for obeying his 'request' to stay instead of just leaving. There was something...off about her. She wasn't the Raquel Damian had slept beside the night before. She was..darker if that were possible.

"You aren't physically capable of helping them with an assassin!" he barked, now showing his somewhat true colors as it were as boss and aristocrat. "Have you forgotten your tears and exhaustion? If you can barely help yourself, what makes you think you could help them--"
Just like that, Damian began hating himself all over again. It was worse than throwing Lorey out of doors. He knew she would recover from a lost job, but words had a habit of scarring people in a much deeper way.

Raquel grew angry. Who are you to say how weak or strong I am! I've taken care of myself for 20some odd years! These angry thoughts bubbled up in her mind and were quite apparent on her face. In a heated fury, she raised her hand, and slapped him straight across the cheek, her face as red as the imprint she left. Everything grew silent as the sound from the slap resonated throughout the empty room. Then complete silence enveloped them both.

The crack surprised him. The stinging, her anger, the fact that she had raised a hand to him at all, it all sent a shock right through his being. And yet, Damian simply kept his face pointing away from her, off into the bookshelves and shadows in the corners. Straight-backed, as always.
"I am sorry, Raquel," he said, very quietly. That was all he could say as the redness upon his face grew more severe.

Raquel seemed to freeze in fear as soon as her hand had made contact. She stood, staring at him, her dark eyes starting to lighten again. "D-Damian?" She called out gently, her soft, caring voice back again. "W-where am I?" She asked,looking around, acting as if she hadn't been present the last few moments. Suddenly the realization of it all hit her hard. "Oh no...oh god no...not again..." She whispered. "Did I hurt anyone!?" She panicked, gently grabbing a hold of his shirt before realizing the red on his face. "Did I hurt you?" She asked desperately trying to look him in the eye.

Split personality disorder, he thought with a slight churn in his stomach. Raquel was psychotic... this was what he got for letting someone into his life so easily: a defect. But in his mind, he slapped himself even harder than she had done. How dare he go back to thinking in that way. She was beautiful... a gem. Maybe he could help her, somehow.
"No," he said, turning his face towards her again. "No, you did not. No one was hurt. You... just wanted to help Richard, and I would not allow you to go. You were upset."
Damian looked at her fully. Immediately the one thing that stood out were her eyes... they were the same as when they had first met. Hadn't they been darker just a moment ago?
"Raquel, what has just happened to you?" Damian touched her face very softly while still examining her eyes. So strange...

Raquel's face grew pale and her breathing quickened as tears started to slowly make their way out. "I...I don't know...That hasn't happened in years...oh god..." She looked away, trying to make sense of it all, only to look back to Damian's eyes with the fear of a small child. Her breathing stayed irregular as she gently pulled away from his touch. "I told you I wasn't good to have around...." she noted, her eyes desperately shifting from one thing to another as her mind raced with a way to somehow explain all of this. "I have moments...where I seem to black out...only to wake up-" She stopped herself. "I should go." She said shortly, pushing past Damian, straight to her room, where she simply grabbed her guitar case and her old set of clothes. "I've overstayed my welcome..." She said quietly, tears streaming down her face as her shaking hands threw the few items into her guitar case which fashioned a makeshift suitcase.

"Raquel," he tried, but she wasn't listening to him.
Damian tracked her down to her room with an anxious speed about him. Having her go back out on the streets would mean she would be a prostitute again, living in that hovel once more without sleep for fear of being assaulted...
No. He could not have that.
"Raquel." His hands took her shoulders gently so that she could perhaps stay in one place for more than a few seconds. "Stay, please. You are not well... perhaps this change of pace, this outpouring of emotions has made that part of you come out once more. It would not be good for you to go back out there and be hurt..." His silver eyes desperately searched for hers. "I will take care of you. I promised you that."
