Black Vine My mod choice, randomfies!!!! C:< Alamoria Sigh. It's sad that true random doesn't exist. Even what appears to be random to one person may seem perfectly logical to another. Computers can't even generate true random numbers. For the most part, they either begin to repeat eventually, or have a formula that uses a clock to derive it's output. And for humans, don't even get me started. *derandomifies to original statement.* You're not the only Mod. And to further explain that there's no true random. If there is the -exact- same conditions, including everything including but not limited to, air particle density and placement...the outcome would be the same every single time. The definition of Random that I use, is more to the idea of doing the same experiment on multiple occasions, with the exact same conditions, and getting a different result. Using that definition, it's impossible to have anything that's random, as it's impossible to recreate the accuracy of given conditions.

I know I'm coming in rather late by now but, I'm crying in laughter over here. My vote has to go to Neit on this one just cause I'm loyal like that and I heart him so. Also his initial counter attack was AWESOME!!!

Quantum Physics is all really speculative, but in terms of the reactions of electrons and photons, despite certain principals, apparently the math works out that there is some "true" randomness down there. From what I can tell, despite identical conditions (I'm not sure how they make "identical conditions, but...), the same event can happen multiple different ways. Just food for thought, in terms of what those whacky quantum physicists are sayin' these days.

A majority of our scientific laws break down and fail. ninja Which brings question to their validity. Anyway... From the video I've watched trying to explain what quantum physics are...is when something's observering an event, it happens one way...but when it's not observering it, the result is different. And as to identical conditions. The only true way to test the theory...is a time machine. But even then, you're not identical...because you have previous knowledge of the event that occurred. And anything less than that is speculation.
