Orsino crept to the leftovers he had neatly piled from last night. They had eaten all the lettuce and most of the strawberries. There was still enough raspberries and blueberries for the both of them. He quietly placed them neatly on a rock, designing it into a flower-like pattern. In the middle, Orsino placed the strawberries carefully, trying hard to not knock the others over.

Valley stirred and finally allowed herself to wake up. She saw him by a rock and stood to go and see what he was doing and to see if he needed any help. She was surprised to look over his shoulder and see teh food arranged in a floral pattern. "It is very pretty. I am half tempted not to eat it, but then it would go to waste." she said in his ear.

Orsino jumped lightly, not expecting to hear anything, "Good morning." he chirped, "And it is really nice...I kinda don't want to eat it either." he chuckled, his tail curling around her lightly, and nuzzled her.

Valley smiled at him. "But if we do not eat them then they will go to waste and rot. So I guess it is a better idea to eat them now and not have their use go in vain." She nudged a few berries on the outskirts his way before biting off a few for herself, trying to perserve the shape as much as possible.

"That's true." he laughed lightly before biting into one, "Were you comfortable last night?" Orsino knew it was a yes at how deeply she was sleeping, but he just wanted to ask to be courteous.

Valley nodded. "Yes, the nest that you made is quite comfortable and I enjoyed my time here. I guess I should go back today and tell them I am leaving and will be staying here. Would you like to go with me to the mansion?" she asked invitingly.

"Would I?" Orsino's tail wagged, "Of course I would! I would love to meet the people you have been staying with." he pawed at the berry, "I would also like to thank them for taking in someone like you. I'm very thankful for that..." he said slowly.
"On that matter." he cleared his throat, not wanting to cause such a mushy scene in the morning, "Let us finish eating, wash up, and be on our merry way."

Valley gave him a smile and licked his cheek before finishing up her portion of the berries and giving herself a quick bath. She was happy to be with her shy but loveable Orsino and was glad that she had somehow run into him. She wondered what it would have been like to have left early or not gone as far then shook her head. It would be the same boring thing she did everyday though she enjoyed it, she was happier having met Orsino.

Orsino felt his face get hot, quickly ducking down to swallow the remainder of the berries. He wiped at his muzzle, hoping to look clean. It would be best if he made a good impression to Valley's guardian, it wouldn't do too well if he looked disheveled. The black fox stretched his legs out, and headed to the door, looking back, "Shall we go now?"

Valley gave him a bright smile and passed Orsino. "It will probably take us more than an hour's walk to get there. Hope you do not mind?" she said as she walked on ahead. "Want to race?" she asked as she began to sprint ahead of him and through the forest.

"Not at all. Long walks are quite nice actually." Orsino smiled shyly at Valley, feeling his stomach do backflips as she smiled at him. She was such a beautiful fox...
Orsino blinked quickly, "Oh. Race? Yes. Yes. Of course." the male grinned, sprinting after her.

Valley giggled as she saw out of the corner of her eye Orsino catching up to her. He was very fast and having a small competitive edge, Valley pushed herself forward into a full run, surprised that he was keeping up with her. But it made her smile and she could tell they would make it to the mansion a lot quicker than an hour if they kept up this pace.

Orsino let out a laugh to his own surprise, enjoying the wind on his face. Sure it was starting to get a little hot, but the cool sensation of the wind, cooled him down some. Pumping his legs a little harder, he catched up to Valley with almost no effort. "Having fun?" he managed to say, panting slightly.

Valley giggled. "I hadn't expected that you could keep up with me. I'm pretty fast. But it is nice to know that you are able to. You may end up chasing me quite a bit." Valley gave him a bright smile before turning and heading in another direction. She was beginning to pant a little and slowed down a bit. They were beginning to close in on the mansion.

"Who knows?" Orsino followed after her, "I may be faster than you." he stayed behind her anyway. "So who lives with you in the mansion? Family? Or friends?" he was curious, as he had never been inside a mansion-or a house for that matter.
