I was introduced to Anime back in like the 3rd grade. I just thought it was basically kick a** mature cartoons with lots of violence.
When I first started watching it, things like Cowboy Bebop, Trigun, 案d Rurouni Kenshin were on TV

If you count Hello Kitty as anime, I got into it as a toddler since my sister had a lot of that stuff and I ended up with bags, plushies, and the like by the time I was about 3 years old.
If not, then it would be Sailor Moon, which I started watching on tv when I was about 5 years old. Ah, the mid 1990's were great........*reminisces*

My first anime was Sailor Moon.
I believe it came on every Wednesday at 5 PM....
I saw it a lot when I was at BK when they had a TV in the play room.

Sherlock Hound, Moomin, Alfred J. Kwak, Ginga Nagareboshi Gin... and a few others.. I just forgot their names ;o; I was around 4-5 years old then.
I've also seen My Neighbor Totoro and Porco Rosso when I was about 5.

THe first anime...before I even knew what anime or Japan was...was "Super Book" and "THe Flying house."
I just found out a month ago that they were from japan.
