Alexa rolled her eyes. "Brother, she's trying to say no as politely as she can. Just listen to her," she said impatiently. "Miss...you...try giving it a scrape. It really does work quite as well." Giving her brother a quick sideways glance, she added, "Not, of course, that I would know."

Alexa smiled sweetly after her brother. "That's right, dear," she replied. "Now if only the parents would believe that."
Flicking her fingers at Kirra in a parody of a wave, she said, "Since my darling sibling is in a snit, I'm going to go find someone else to entertain me. It's been lovely. So long."

Naomi scratched her head. This was ridiculous, rather boring. Pathetic. She sat lazily on the ground, cross-legged, and began wiping dirt off her crossbow.

"Okay, I'll duel you," Kirra said grinning evilly, then she smacked the boy with the bottom of her scythe shaft. She then smiled at the girl, not bothering with the boy anymore. "I'm Kirra by the way."

Artemis decided he was gonna tone down his pursuit of Alexa. He went back outside and looked around then headed over towards Alexa and Alex. "Hey there you two. Sorry about giving you that rose. I shouldn't have done that." Seeing it was in her hand he clenched his fist, the water evaporating. "So, what you two doing for dinner?"

Alexa paused in sudden realization. She took a quick look over her shoulder. There was no one there. For the first time in ages, there was no one hovering beside her to make sure she didn't get herself in any trouble. Her brother wasn't watching, and her parents weren't there.
Her lips curved into a catlike little smile. "Alexa. Lexi," she all but purred in response to Kirra. Still smiling, she winked at Artemis. "I don't know. You'd have to ask Alex," she said lightly, before going on her way.
It was always the most fun when no one was there to tell her no.

Kirra walked over to the girl and whispered, "If you're bored, I have an idea, you've heard of the Red Empire right? Well I was thinking of starting my own Empire, you wanna help? It'll be fun."

With a wink, she added, "But I'm always open to negotiation."

"oooo, that sounds great," Kirra said, "I think I read somewhere about rituals of Immortality, hidden somewhere in the desert to the east, wanna go look for them?" She grinned happily at the thought of having such a pretty traveling companion. "And if we can't find them we can always pass ourselves off as goddesses."
