"Soft kittypets wouldn't be on a journey like this at all. And I'd rather be soft than stupid!" Fishertail snarled at Windsong. "Cats die in leafbare from sickness. I am not taking any risks, because I actually want to find our daughter. "Integrity" is not worth her life!"
She lifted her chin and turned to follow Theresa. She'd heard Spiderheart's dismay at the thought of sleeping in a Twoleg den - but Spiderheart was afraid of his own shadow, so it didn't really count for much.

Fleetwing nodded. Theresa had come up with a marvelous idea. Besides, we're out here to rescue our warriors, not to make a point. Who cares where we sleep? Just so long as we bring our friends and family home, it doesn't matter what we do. StarClan will be with us wherever we go. She still was nervous about the den idea, but it didn't matter. She wanted Bramblestone and Rollinggust to be on the moor chasing rabbits and helping the Clan. With so many cats missing from their respective camps, there was bound to be some trouble hunting. We need to get home. "I'm with him," she said, flicking her tail towards Swiftclaw. "I'll stand guard at the entrance, but don't expect me to sleep in there."

Tornadotail and Ben simply listened to what everyone else wanted to do. To them either was uncomfortable and neither held any pros above the other. When Theresa started to move Ben and Tornadotail followed her.
"Eh to me both 'ave there ups an' downs, but sometimes two leg den's offer warmth that the alley can not give us." Ben blinked upon hearing Fleetwing statement. "Just does us a favor an' don't be lookin' like yer gaurdin' something. That can be dangerous an' could bring unwanted attention."

For the first time since they started off together, Hawktail left Fleetwing's side in favor of actually getting some rest in the twoleg den. "Suit yourself," She mewed to the other she-cat, flicking an ear absently as she did so, "I enjoy my sleep, though, so I really don't care where we are, as long as I can rest up for whatever is going to face us when we find our clanmates" With her tail swaying slowly from side to side, she padded after Theresa and the others, completely uninterested in the arguments and ruffled pelts of the cats around her. Another new experience awaited the ever curious Windclan warrior, for she would never in clear conscience visit a two-leg den on her own simply for exploration. Her clanmates wouldn't understand her reason, and it was dangerous to enter the occupied den of twolegs. So she had heard, anyway.

Spiritspine meerly snorted.
"Have fun out here then, Swiftclaw. All the cats need to be rested and alert for the journey, so we should do what we must to save our clanmates. And you," He meowed, glancing at Windsong, "can have fun out here in the bitter cold. I hope your pride is worth it." And with that, he followed the othes into the den.

For a second, Swiftclaw was worried that he would end up regretting his decision, but he shook the thought off. He needed to protect his fellow cats. Besides, he doubted he'd even be able to sleep in there. Then he turned to the WindClanner who had also volunteered to stand guard, glad to have company. "Guess we'll be staying up together, then. My name's Swiftclaw." He figured he might as well get to know the WindClanner, since they'd be awake all night and guarding the clans together.

"Ok, we're here." Theresa pointed to a broken down two-leg nest, complete with boarded windows and plants growing on the sidewalk in front of it. The wind that had been blowing hard for the past hour or so made the building creak loudly, but it didn't dissaude some cats from entering, including the rogue herself.
"There's mice hidden in there and outside. Take as much as you want, just be ready for the next day..."
No one really expected what would happen the next day though. The wind that was blowing so strongly that night continued on into the morning. And it carried with it freezing rain that showered on and off throughout the hours.
When everyone woke up to travel again, it might have been a surprise to all the cats to find that some of them were sick. Especially the ones that agreed to sleep outside. Any cats sleeping outside that aren't Windclan are weaker that usual, from the cold and high winds. The cats of the moor were affected by this, but not by much since windy weather was a daily thing for them.
"I don't think we'll be able to make much progress today, due to all the bloody coughing and sniffing." Theresa said with a hint of irritation in her voice. The sun was barely setting over the horizon, and they had to still stop since the night would bring only more cold and doom for them all.
"This time, we all are going to sleep inside. There's a two-leg nest nearby, not abandoned but its two-leg hasn't been inside for many moons. It'll be a nicer place to stay than last time."

Spiritspine blinked awake, his joints throbbing from the cold. He stood upa nd shook himself, trying to get rid of the clinging sleepiness. He yawned, drawing in the scents around him,a nd was not surprised that the tang of mucus was detectable. He glanced around, most cats only now coming to. Now would be the best time to hunt if he was going to eat today. Spiritspine quickly pinpointed a mouse and killed it with a well aimed blow. He quickly devoured it and headed back to the main group, licking his whiskers.

Yay for being a stupidhead! xD
Windsong stifled a cough. His throat felt like it was on fire. He crouched a few tail lengths away from the main group. So what if he had made a mistake. He was stubbornly prideful of his decision to sleep outside the twolegs nest. Even if he managed to cough up a lung, he still had a shred of dignity that those soft kittypet idiots had lost. He coughed again, padding a little ways away to hunt for breakfast. It took him a few tries, sudden bouts of additional coughing alerted his prey to his presence, but before long he had a mouse hanging from his jaws. As he ate, he thought. Those missing cats had better be grateful for what they were doing here.

Ben and Tornadotail ate their fill of the mice they could catch before heading to bed. It had been awhile since they had gotten to spend time with each other like this and it felt like old time again. The two fluffy cats had whispered quietly updating each other on news about themselves before falling asleep in a curled mass to buff against the cold night. Tornadotail couldn't believe that Ben had found love in Windclan something Tornadotail hadn't done and he was a part of the clan. Was there something wrong with him? Ben was shocked himself, he wasn't really one to attract she cats where Tornadotail always had been. It the long run none of that mattered right now, but it was a way to take the edge off of the hard mission at hand.
Ben woke before Tornado and his shook off sniffling slightly wishing he wasn't missing patches of fur. He didn't feel great, but having looked around he seemed to be fairing better then most cats. Ben hopped up strait into hunting. He caught one mouse and dropped it in front of Violetstar before grabbing more mice one for himself and one for each of the cats that had been dumb enough to stay outside.
Tornadotail really didn't feel to bad. He ached a little and felt cold, but he was a large cat with fluffy fur. He peeked outside and snorted at the weather. "One would think Starclan doesn't want us to move on." Tornado took que from Ben and began to hunt for the cats that weren't feeling as well as he was. He looked to Theresa when she spoke and nodded. "I guess after we eat we should move out then. Perhaps some of us should go ahead and make sure the coast it clear before moving cats that don't feel well into a possibly dangerous area."

Swiftclaw watched as more and more cats woke. He himself didn't feel too well, having stayed up all night. He might've fell asleep for an hour in the night, but it sure didn't feel like it. Not wanting to be a burden, he at first tried to hunt for himself. But sleep made him clumsy and he couldn't catch a thing. So instead he accepted a mouse from Ben and waited for the rest of the cats to get moving, finding it hard to stifle a yawn.

Windsong was crouching alone again, glaring into the distance. He wasn't going to dare defy Theresa now. So the twoleg nest it was. But it still ticked him off that the one they would be staying in tonight wasn't even abandoned. Let's get the rest of us caught, shall we. He turned away, trying to ignore his thoughts. He focused instead on the conversations of cats near him. At Tornadotail's words, he bristled. He stood up, tail lashing back and froth, and faced the much larger cat. "Just because some of us don't feel well doesn't mean we can't face down dangers. I, for one, am not as helpless as a newborn kit." He hissed angrily, turning away.

Rosethorn rose and stretched before padding outside to hunt for some food. She quickly noticed that the cats who had stayed outside overnight were doing poorly. She was immediately glad of her decision to take shelter inside. She fluffed her fur out to guard against the continuing chill winds, then stalked off to look for some food. It wasn't long before she caught a mouse, and she ate it swiftly before returning to the twoleg nest they'd stayed in. There she sat down and gromed herself while she waited for everyone to finish what they were doing so the group could move on.

BleedingMoon blinked gratefully towards Swiftclaw and Fleetwing as they sacrificed their comforts to compromise with the others. Started in amazement as the ThunderClan queen told WingSong what was what. 'What a woman!' stood dazed for a moment before Spiritspine's voice snapped him out of it. Glanced from SpiritSpine to SwiftClaw uncertainly, thinking her words were a little harsh though they may be true.
BleedingMoon woke the next day, blinked the new day in groggily... though he had slept near the Shadowclan warriors felt so very cold. It be easy just to lay there let it consume him but knew better. Steadly got up stretched the blood back into his viens. Time to eat! BleedingMoon soon held a dead mouse in his jaws and padded up Swiftclaw, placed it down and began to suck the blood from it. (a habit of his) "Earth speaker seems uncertain whether to move on or not, the weather like it is. You should rest till we're ready to head out... I just hope Rumsplash's warmer then we are."
