She nods a bit and looks thoughtful for a moment, "So your powers have mostly manifested when you've been angry or frustrated? Hmmmm.....perhaps we should stick to fire and defense for the moment then."

She gives him a soft smile and nods, "Yes, it requires a beta to be absolutely calm and peaceful or it will not work. I'm sure others have found ways that work for them, but this is the only way it works for me and is the most commonly known way for it to work. Would you like to continue training on that?"

Bathory smiles at the kiss and nods. "Tomorrow." She heads off in the other direction.

The next day, she peeks around the edge of the coral wall, nervous. She bites her lip and looks for Minkishi before slowly edging out into the clearing. Licks of flame flare out from her occasionally, snapping and popping along her skin briefly before fading again. She hugs her torso self-consciously with her news arms, still marvelling at her new form.

She looks up quickly at the sound of his voice, blushing to her shoulders. "Yes Minkishi...I...evolved, just this afternoon."

She chews delicately on her lower lip, watching him and brushing a lock of hair from her face. When he makes his last statement, her face brightens and she smiles. "Thank you. I was...worried you wouldn't approve." She swims over to him, slowly, then reaches out with one hand to brush her hand down the side of his face. "I can really feel you now. Your skin is soft...", She reaches up farther to run her fingers through his hair, "and so is your hair. I love the texture of it."

She turns his face back towards her with a smile, leaning forward hesitantly, pausing just before her lips touch his. She looks into his eyes. "May I?"

She smiles warmly and leans into his touch, looking back at him directly. When he nods, she lets out the breath she didn't realize she'd been holding and carefully slips her arms around his neck, leaning in and pressing her lips to his gently.

She sighs happily into the kiss and softly brushes a hand through his hair. After a lingering minute, she pulls back to look at him. "Did...did I do okay? I've never..kissed anyone like this." She flushes and looks down.

Bathory smiles back at him and nods, "Thank you." She presses a soft kiss to his palm then nods, looking at him. "Did you wish to work on defense or fire for the moment? Have you been practicing the bubble?"

She smiles softly and nods, "Defense it is. May I see how you're doing with it? If you've progressed, it may be time to try something new with it."

She cups a hand to his cheek briefly, giving him another smile then backing up a bit to give him some room.

She gives him a grin and a brief hug, "Minkishi that's wonderful! I think we should try the next step. We combine our respective bubbles, merge the glowing balls, and see how long we can hold it. We can use each other to feed the feelings needed for it."
