Gail snorted in amusement and smiled at Amber indulgently. "Come now dear, indulge this poor old doctor. I really do insist."
Without allowing further protest, Gail gently but swiftly guided Amber into the wheelchair and wheeled her over to the operating room. "Now stop your fussing. I insisted on the same thing for Will when he was hurt a couple weeks ago, and if he couldn't convince me to let him walk about before I was fully satidfied that he was healed up enough then you don't stand a chance dear."
It was a quick process, preparing Amber for surgery. After the sleeping gas was applied to numb the pain and make Amber sleep during the surgery, Gail picked up her sterilized scalpel and got to work.

Just before the sleeping gas was used, Amber thought of Jaffar, Aiden, Dariel, Will, and all the other friends she had made after joining the Hunters (excluding Aiden). She smiled and felt comfortable knowing Gail wouldn't let anything go wrong.

Amber remained motionless and still, only because she had sleeping gas, otherwise she'd be tossing and turning with boredom, and whining at the pain from the surgery. Amber was dreaming the whole time the surgery was being performed.

Skiaska clung to Lydia as well. She had done this so many times with her own family... She hugged her close, letting Lydia cling to her as well.

After several hours, the final stitch was in place and Gail could finally relax. It had been yet another flawless job on her part, and Amber would be up and about again inside of a week. Washing up, she wheeled Amber into one of the recovery rooms and placed her on the bed before leaving again. She still had other paitents to care for, after all.

Will quietly entered one of the rooms to see the touching scene of Skiaska hugging Lydia, offering the younger girl some comfort. Smiling softly, he walked up to them and placed a comforting hand on each of their shoulders. "Hey girls. Lydia, Skiaska, how are you two doing? Anything I can do to help either of you?"

About an hour after Gail left Amber woke up and screamed in anger, "DAMN YOU LEAVE THEM ALONE!!" Amber realised that it had just been a dream and embarassed, shrunk down under her covers. She was still shaken from her dream, which had been the memory of her parents being brutally slayed by vampires.

Jaffar heard Amber yell and quickly rushed into the room."WHAT"S HAPPENING!? IS MALICE ATTACKING!?" Jaffar stopped when he saw it was just Amber."Ahh sorry. Why did you yell?"

Amber turned red, and told Jaffar, "I had an uncomforting dream... that's all..." then she apoligized to him for making him worry.

Jaffar slowly walked up to her and smiled."Dont worry about it. Iwas only worried cause I love you and I want to protect you." Jaffar slightly blushed after what he said.

Amber smiled and hugged Jaffar, "I love you too, don't scare me like that again." She started crying softly tears falling onto her shoulders. Then she changed the subject quickly so Jaffar wouldn't notice her tears and said, "I'm sorry, I tried my hardest to think about you, and my friends, but it didn't work... I had a nightmare instead..." she sort of chuckled at what she just said.

Skiaska smiled up at Will. "Yes, we are fine..." She looked down at Lydia, who was calming. "Lydia got a glimpse of my... split personality, you could say..."
