I can't go into details, but there's some strange occurences and rumors flying around the supernatural community and we're at the center of them. We need to lay low and hold off on all hunting operations until I say otherwise, or we could wind up in a shitstorm full of hurt. Anyone not obeying these orders will offically be putting the rest of us in danger. Once again, I repeat: CEASE FIRE. REPORT TO HAVEN OR YOUR NEAREST HUNTER SAFEHOUSE IMMEDIATELY. Now, while we are at war, i must admit we must be able to judge our limits. We could not take on all 3 organisations at once. But...what if we focused our main efforts on one while leaving a few assigned hunter teams to hold off any forays by the other 2? If we were considered that big of a threat, would they not have launched a coordinated attack by now? ANY attack?
What i find conspicous about all this is that this is the most silent any of the races have been towards each other in terms of conflict for quite awhile...they may be either preparing or debating, but either way, they are not ready to hold off an all-out attack. We should strike them while we can...I propose a meeting of the Elders and the most prominent minds of the hunter Corps to decide our action...

Content: No Astande, the total vampire clans alone outnumber us by nearly five to one. I've told all of you this before; we still exist because the Elders of the other races tolerate our existance. If we are being framed in a conspiracy, we need to give a showing of good faith to bolster our cause and suggest our innocence, not initiate a first strike which will prove us guilty in the other races eyes. We need to lay low and pray that negotiations can solve this. I'm going to leave you and Krii'Ouse in charge at Haven, and then I'm going to try to initiate contact with the other races' Elders. You two are my co-leaders, I'm relying on you to keep the Hunters in check until we've exhausted all other options.

I thought the idea of being a Hunter was to track down and eliminate those supernatural creatures that prey on humanity. Calling a truce and
still allowing them to feed on humans doesn't set right on me.... if the odds are 5:1 against we could handle it if we go "First Strike" and take out
thier nests and safe houses....
Your willingness to let these Elders to call the shots on us smacks of collaboration at least and treason of the human race at the most. If Hunters can't do thier jobs what good are they.
I have two weeks downtime in which I'll be working on gadgets for hunting...after that I'll take up the life's work I've been trained for.

Content: Sommers, I understand that you have a very hard line veiw of supernatural creatures and carry out a very basic and hard philosophy concerning dealings with them. But outright elimination is NOT the mission statement of the Hunters. Our mission is to keep control, terminating only the most dangerous targets and leaving those that are relatively harmless or peaceful alone. In effect, we are a self appointed police force trying to keep the peace.
There's a balance in all things, Bridget. Vampires, lycans, and demons have been on Earth as long as man and it's just as much their world as it is ours, but if they are not kept in check and out of the public eye it will lead to a war that will cause the devastation of the human race and their extinction. A balance must be maintained between allowing them to exist and keeping them tightly controlled; that's the Hunters true mission, maintaining such a balance. Most of the Elders of the other races understand that balance, and that's why they tolerate us. Think of us as being like the United States and the Soviets back during the Cold War. We're enemies, but we're not engaged in full-out war, just skirmishes, border disputes, and fighting with connected yet seperate entities. Just like the US and the Soviets back then, we need to walk a thin line, fighting each other without engaging in a true war.
If you don't like my decisions Bridget, it is your right to hold a meeting of the Hunters and ask for a vote of no confidence in my leadership. But I'd like to bring up one final point: If our mission really was the elimination of other races, why are nearly half of our Hunters vampires and lycans? They prove that we can co-exist if we find the right balance. Contemplate that for a while, before you make any decisions whether or not to hold a vote trying to remove me from my position.

Content: While in some respects i do share Bridgets concerns and questions, as well as desires, despite my racial affiliation, i must point out to all of you that even I, whose one purpose of joining the hunters was to seek out and eliminate any and all other supernaturals who proved any kind of a threat whatsoever, see the wisdom in Will's leadership.
While one must always battle themselves, in a sense, with greed for power, or a lust for war, one must learn to overcome such things. It is with utmost care to my own personal beleifs that i declare my full support of Will's leadership.

That is if you can even get close to me. I may be only a second level shadow hunter, but I can protect someone that I need to. Anyone who dares to challenge Tyler has to get through me to get to him.

Content: Please...while your remarks are admirable, there is no need to to even consider threats to his authority as of yet. No one exept Will himself has truly brought it up. Calm yourselves, i do not beleive we have to worry about Will being voted out.
Now, while i do not mean to be demanding, i NEED Haven ready. We know that we're not the one's commiting these murders...but someone else is. It may not be the vampires who will be attacking us, nor the lycans, nor even the demons. I want haven prepped and ready to fight if ANYTHING happens. I would like intruder alarms and sensor sweeps put up in haven, i want thermal and bio-detection grids set up, and auto-defense measures placed everywhere they can fit without hindering those in the passageways, though barricades and fall-back points should also be prepared, simply just in case...If the bar is ovverun, soon Haven will be too. We need to be ready for the worst.
I am currently your commanding officer...and while i know you are not all prone to the leadership of a Vampire, know that i do not lead you blindly. I have traversed this earth for 873 years, and while i have, true, fought against humans, know now that i am a hunter through and through, and dedicated to keeping Haven and all those who reside within it's walls as ready and hardy as i can. I see the wisdom of Will's wishes to forgoe bloodshed, and I too do not wish to see the blood of those who i have come to know as my new bretheren spilled. I would request your hearts and souls to be united in my cause...if not for me, then for your home and common heritage. That of the Hunters Creed.

The Lunites barely breached Haven's underground, and then got ******** in the face by us! There's no way in Hell anyone else is getting in. Not after the repairs we have now. Nothing can breach Haven.
This may sound arrogant, but Haven is proofed against all attack. There's no way in Hell we can get hit again.
I'm as much a commanding officer as you, if not more. God damn it I've known Will for more than five years, we've shared and spilt blood for eachother. How the ******** can you say he's chosen you to command us?! You have NO RIGHT to say that!

Secondly, they have a weapon we have yet to truly learn to fight against. The fact that you ARE NOT human makes you all the more potent to it's effect, as i seem to hear you have encountered before.
What william went off to do was to protect Haven and our Hunters at all costs. I am taking those precautions he wished in place should he not return. I WILL ensure the safety of those lives Will has fought to protect. Whether or not you beleive it to be of concern is a matter best settled with yourself. Not with me. If you do not wish to help, then by all means, refrain from doing so, i cannot compell you. I can only ask.
Yes, it is true, i am immortal. I have lived the life of an immortal for very long. I have experiences many do not. This makes me no less invulnerable from death than the next man if i am shot with Phosphor, hit in the head or the heart, or anything of such nature. True, i am much harder to perform such acts on than some. But this only strengthens my resolve to keep on fighting.
And for your last remark: I have been chosen because there is none left. And I will be damned if i fail. Therefore, i care not for what you beleive is right. What you beleive will not save us from slaughter. Will was right, we cannot expect to survive if we are attacked fully by the other immortals. I intend to make the possibility of our extinction as slim as possible before it even has the chance to slip upon us.
