Meander poked Firecracker lightly on the arm. She had grown rather fond of his rash behavior and reckless arrogance. If she left him here he'd end up dead and that bothered her. So she grabbed him by his arms and dragged him to the edge of the roof. "Sorry Zephyr dear. I really did enjoy meeting you and I do hope I see you again someday, but it's time I made my exit and I'm taking him with me. Goodbye for now." She smiled sincerely and got a better grip on Firecracker before hoping off the rooftop.

"Sorry, Meander, but as Gotham's most senior rogue, I'm pulling rank on YOU!" With a sudden swiftness, three playing cards, a King of Spades with an effigy of Batman drawn on it, and two Jokers, fly through the air and cleanly slice into her arm, while another buries itself into Firecracker's arm. "HAHAHAHAHAHA! Zephyr, dear, feel free to mount him on the wall. He's all yours. Good strategy for getting Batsy, by the way. And of course, we can play what you want next." 'If he liked the game, that is', he thought to himself. As much as he liked her, Zephyr's games can be childish sometimes, plus they miss the greater picture, like killing Batman. He turned towards the edge of the building, just as the Batsignal turned on, illuminating the sky just as he'd seen it do so many times before. 'Darling,' he thought to himself, 'let us dance again, you and I, tonight!'

Zephyr stomped her foot angrily.
"No, that's my human, I caught him fair and square! He shall be mine, and I shall call him Froo-Froo! Froo-Froo, damn it!" She narrowed her eyes and the shadows seemed to grow darker, just as a huge ogre like being with blades protruding from it's skin and massive amounts of sharp teeth slid out of the rooftop-the rooftop stretching into it's form. It let out a loud grunt as Zephyr continued to stomp.
"My human! MINE!" The Guardian (giant ogre thing) looked around at the situation, wondering just why it had been summoned.

Looking at the newly-summoned demon of Zephyr's, he decided that if he didn't leave now, he would never get the chance. Then, he decided that if he DID leave now, he'd never see how well the demon fared against Batsy. In the end he decided to stay, after all.
"HAHAHAHAHAHAHEEHEEHEEHEHEHEHEHEHAHAHAHA! You tell 'em, Zephyr!"

The Guardian moved to grab Firecracker from Meander, now that it new what was going on.
In Guardian's head: Why was I assigned to such a silly human? I tire of these games, but it is not my place to say. I will do as I am told...*sigh*

Firecracker opened his eyes and noticed the slash in his arm. The crimson red blood seeped through his black and white hoodie, making him sweat and twitch. "YYAAAAAAAAAHHH!!!!" his voice cracked mid-scream and turned shrilled, almost resembling a young girl's.
His head fell back, and on his face it was apparent that he might have just passed out... again. However, he confirmed anyone's doubts when his eyes shot open to the sight of some giant, creepish creature clutching him and pulling him into its arms. "WAIT! HASN'T ANYONE CONSIDERED WHAT I WANT!?!?" he yelped in its arms.

"Alright, would you like me to leave you here?" Meander asked mockingly.
She reached into the bag that was slung over her shoulder and poised for a fight, glaring straight into the ogre things eyes.

The Guardian just stared expressionlessly at Meander, then turned to walk towards Zephyr. She smiled and outstretched her arms.
"My human! Yay! And no, no one cares what you want. You're gonna be the bestest pet ever, Mr. Froo-Froo!" Zephyr smiled happily as the ogre leaned down, still holding Firecracker firmly.
"Isn't that right?" She asked, patting him on the head. Lord knows she wasn't really asking.

Suddenly Meander shot up out of nowhere and kicked the guardian in the face, sending his head smashing into a nearby chimney-pipe, causing him to drop Firecracker.

(( It's really a shame, too. Up until you told him to tone it down, he was playing a perfect 'BTAS' Riddler. Oh, well. I'll still have fun killing him. twisted And it'll be in classic comic Joker style! No offense to Heath Ledger, but I will always prefer the classic Joker kills over the knives, just not enough ways to make it both funny and scary at the same time. AND SCREW THE PENCIL TRICK, IT'S BEEN OVERPLAYED! ))
Joker, seeing the silly Meander suddenly attack the Guardian, immediately threw another card, a Queen of Diamonds with Harley Quinn's unmistakable costume drawn on it, directly into Meander's stomach, where it stayed half-implanted. Without missing a beat, the diabolical clown also drew a revolver pistol from within his coat, its sleek silver design reflecting both the pale white of the moon, and the yellow of the Batsignal.
"Next one who tries ANY funny business before Batsy shows up will find out EXACTLY how many shots are in this gun! Funny business is MY business, and I won't brook anyone stealing my gig!"

((I so agree! Heath Ledger only captured the crazy, none of the finess, and the crazy he didn't even do right! It was awful! But of course, just because he died everyone's got to applaud his last performance. Nope. Sorry. If you suck you suck, and I don't care if you did just die, I call it like I see it.))
The guardian let out a sort of moan/growl and grew back it's head, grabbing this time Meander with it's talon like claws and letting out a full roar.
"You know, if you hadn't have attacked it it all would have been fine. Guardians are generally strictly defensive beings. You mean nothing to it until it is instructed otherwise or until you attack..." Zephyr shook her head, then smiled up at the Joker's gun. Then she raised a ten dollar bill.
"Zephyr bets ten dollars that his gun's got one shot in it!" She guessed, thinking of her own pistols as if they were the only kinds of guns in the world.
