Luke chuckled as a purr rumbled up his chest at their mini dance. His eyes gazed out a window reflectivly as he pondered her question. "I.... dunno. I guess it'd be up to you. I know Vesna was excited to share her room with you. But, I wouldn't mind sharing mine." He gave her a lopsided grin.
"Maybe you should sleep with her for a bit before moving in with me. Enjoy yourselves before we fully commit. It'll make it easier for her too." He briefly wondered if he wasn't giving Vesna enough credit, was still thinking of her as his young girl, but felt like he'd rather be safe than sorry.
Hearing the door open he kissed Jaione's forehead and pulled back a little. "Ah. Our tea has arrived."
Vesna nodded stiffly, shaking off the affect of talking about her eye. Carrying the tray with practiced ease she followed Eifa into the main room and set it on an end table. "Your tea, sir." She said jokingly trying to sound like a maid or butler as she poured the steamy tea into the cups.

Jaione's tail twitched back and forth a bit and she giggled a bit at Luke's adorably awkward smile. "'Course, I could just switch between rooms," she commented with a smile in return. "But I'd probably stay with Vesna for a while anyway; I haven't seen her in so long, after all," she said, flicking the dark tip of her tail and letting off a few little sparks when Luke kissed her forehead.
She glanced behind herself as Vesna emerged from the kitchen, Eifa trailing behind. Her gaze sharpened slightly at the cattaur. 'I swear, if you did anything to her...' she directed toward the male, relying on the fact that Eifa would probably be listening to her.
'What are you talking about, Jai? Why would I ever do anything like that? To such a sweet girl, too!' Eifa replied, putting a hand to his chest melodramatically before giving the other female a soft smirk. 'Even so, what would you do about it?'
The cattaur's tail puffed up slightly, swishing back and forth dangerously as she tried to make sure to pour her tea patiently, though it wasn't really working. 'I know what kind of 'taur you are, Eifa. And trust me, you don't want to know what I would do if you did anything to her,' she growled, having trouble not saying anything aloud, before she forced a bit of a smile toward Vesna, gesturing toward her cup. "This is good. What kind of tea is it?"

Luke gave a quick nod to Jai before smiling again at Vesna. "Ah, my favorite." He mused as he inhaled the scent, trying to ignore Jai's sudden tension. He knew it had something to do with that Eifa... "Thanks Vesna. Great as usual." He said casually, placing his free hand on the small of Jai's back comfortingly.
Vesna smiled and chuckled softly. "It's dad's own recipe. The usual tea spices with lemon and dried sweet milk leaves added to it with a pinch of suger."
She looked back at Eifa and inquired politely. "So how long do you think you'll be around here?" She still couldn't decide if she'd be happy if he hung around or not...

One of Jai's ears twitched softly and she watched her ex-classmate for a moment, before looking back down at the tea she was holding. She gave a soft smile to Luke, and chuckled a bit. "You've gotten really good at this," she commented on the topic of the tea. She flicked her tail a bit, before she slid it against Luke's wrapping the tip around the tip of Luke's tail, fidgeting a bit.
She smiled at her friend as well, chuckling softly. "You have gotten really good at this, too," she added with a bit of a nod, trying to keep her eyes of Eifa, though she was still completely suspicious of him. Stupid boy...
Eifa blinked a few times, tipping his head at the question, flicking the bell on his tail a little bit. 'I'm not sure, actually,' Eifa replied, this time speaking so everyone could actually hear him, rather than the private conversations that he had so often. 'I was hoping that I might be able to stay here until I found a place to stay myself, but...' he trailed off with a shrug. If they didn't want him to stay, he could find somewhere else. With someone else. Who Jaione wouldn't kill him over.

Luke was smiling easily one minute, a warm glance at Jaione, the next minute he nearly dropped his cup of tea, every muscle tense. Him?! Stay HERE?! No way!! He set his jaw, taking a silent breath.
"Unless Jaione thinks otherwise, since she knows you better than I do, I'd rather you find someplace else."
Vesna held back. She almost wanted Eifa to stay, but... "Come on dad. He's Jai's friend after all. Where would he go? All the taverns are full this time of year with all the hibernators only now waking up and such." She bit her lip awkwardly before hiding her face within her cup with a deep gulp of the tea.

Jaione scraped her claws against the wooden floor nervously when she started feeling the pressure of this entire situation being put up on her trust of Eifa, which was already minimal. Then again, if he moved on and actually cared for Vesna, who was she to deny him of that rite? She wasn't allowed to just play God in a situation that could very well be good for someone like him, after all. Even so, maybe his attempts on her best friend could actually open his eyes to the fact that those same green eyes settled rather seductively on more males than females.
The tip of her fluffed-up tail swished back and forth near to the ground, and she looked up at Luke with an expression that said she knew what she was doing, before giving Eifa a slight smile. "You can stay, but it's not one of those multiple chance deals. If you put so much as one toe out-of-line," she commented, voice firm, though there was a slight smirk on her face. She was joking with how parental she was making herself sound, but she was completely serious in the fact that if he didn't anything wrong, she wouldn't hesitate to lock him out.
Eifa clapped his hands together happily, taking a step forward to hug Jai around the shoulders, the female stiffening slightly at the sudden contact before loosening a bit and patting him tenderly on the back. The bell at the end of his tail jingled happily as he swished it back and forth, before he took a step back and glanced around at the group, gaze lingering momentarily on Vesna, before he clasped his hands together. 'So. Who am I rooming with?'

Luke's jaw clenched, but he gave Jaione a subtle nod. He trusted her.
Then he really dropped his cup again. 'Is this guy serious?!' He cleared his throat. "That would be me." He said quickly, drawing himself up. "I'll make some space in my room for you." 'The better to keep my eyes on you.' He thought to himself. Though Eifa hadn't really given him any reason to be mistrusted, Luke felt his trust in the other male would only go as far as he could kick the guy.
Vesna's chest tightened, in happiness or worry she didn't know. She looked at Jaione and smiled. "Looks like this house is going to be very full." She said with a laugh. Just the other day it had only been Luke and herself. Now both Jai and Eifa would be there.
"Well, Eifa. Since you'll be staying here, how would you like the grand tour?"

Jaione squeaked slightly when the cup was dropped and she chuckled softly, leaning down to pick up the cup and place it on the table. However, as though trying to avoid conflict, she stayed on the ground, trying to manipulate the water. Unfortunately, the best she could do was form a little invisible barrier around her finger, about an inch or two in diameter, that the water would move away from. Other than that, any attempts to do anything resulted in the water crackling with electricity or just nothing happening in the least.
Eifa saluted the older cattaur with a soft smirk on his lips. 'Perfectly alright with me, Sir,' he commented politely, swishing his tail a bit, the others thoughts drifting through his head as smoothly as a conversation one might be eavesdropping on. He turned toward Vesna with a smile at the suggestion, nodding a couple times. 'Of course; that sounds like a wonderful idea,' the 'taur replied good-humoredly, though whether he wanted to see the house or get a chance to be alone with the cervitaur, it was rather unclear.

Luke smiled bashfully at Jaione. "Sorry. It's a slippery bugger, that cup." He almost told Vesna to wait and take Jai too, but thought he might be going a bit overboard. To distract himself, he knelt down to watch Jaione try to manipulate the liquid. Chuckling softly, he looked at the drink, smiling as it came together on the floor and formed a heart.
Vesna nodded. "This way then. You've already seen the kitchen." She lead him past the kitchen and to the first door. "This is the lavatory, for cleaning yourself up." She moved on. "And this is Luke's room. You'll be sleeping here." She opened the door and walked into a open room, a bit messy but not overtly so. A large bed was tucked into a corner under the one window. "He'll probably put you over there." She said, pointing the the wall opposite Luke's bed. "We have lots of blankets you can use. I made most of them."

Jaione chuckled softly, giving a smile toward her mate's comment. "'Course it is. Why else would you have dropped it?" she asked, teasing him lightly before giving him a quick kiss on the cheek, eyes going to the floor as the male started to manipulate the liquid. She giggled softly, a gentle blush coming to her cheeks as she sighed softly, snuggling against her mate and watching the tea through half-open eyes. She yawned suddenly, covering her mouth with the palm of her hand before shaking her head, ridding her mind of the sudden sleepiness.
She smiled gently toward Luke, wrapping her arms around the nearest of his and glancing toward where Eifa and Vesna had disappeared to. She chuckled softly, the smile on her face turning a bit worried. "I certainly hope that Vesna knows better than to put too much trust into that troublemaker. He can certainly talk sweet, but he's definitely laying it on too thick; he always has. At least, for as long as I've known him."
Eifa nodded pleasantly throughout the tour, no real comments to be made until they reached Luke's room. He didn't hesitate to step into the room, glancing around and giving Vesna a pout that was irresistibly adorable, if not a bit childish. 'Aw, y'mean that I can't sleep with him?' the male question, twitching the tip of his tail a bit, the phrase seeming almost completely serious before he cracked a grin and gave a roll of his eyes, a gentle laugh playing through his thought-based speech.
'That aside, you can make blankets?' he questioned, sounding quite interested as he approached the female with a gentle tilt of his head, quirking an eyebrow with piqued curiosity. 'What else can you make? Surely, you must have made that beautiful cloak that Jaione kept with her at school, no?'

Smiling contently at the tender contact he was recieving, Luke used his abilities to move the spilled tea finally from the floor and out the same crack in the wall he had used for the broth from earlier, watching the steam rise outside the window.
At her warning words, a flare of parental concern and irritation filled Luke's eyes. "That might be a problem. As far as I know, Vesna's never had it layed on even thin to her. Keeps to herself so much... She wouldn't know if he was being fake or not unless he was being blatantly obvious." His muscles tensed in anger at the other male, even though nothing had yet happened. "Why did you let him stay then?"
Vesna laughed out loud. "I don't think he'd want to. He has always had the bed to himself. Except when I was a baby and wanted to share it." She smiled fondly, thinking back to old times.
"Yes!" She said happily, pleased with his interest. "Actually, I did make that cloak. I can show you more of what I've made. It's in my ro- Jaione's and my room." She giggled, happy to share her room with her best friend, er, mom? NO! She rolled her eyes, then indicated with a finger for Eifa to follow. "Here." From her bed, she picked up a large green blanket with yellow, orange and green leaves embroidered onto it.

Jaione's ears folded back against her head at the obvious irritation in Luke's voice, not bothering to choose if it was directed at her or at Eifa, or both, which it may very well have been. "Don't worry about it, really. I let him stay because I know that if he really needs a place to stay, he's not going to try anything sneaky, and no matter how annoying he gets, he's still one of few friends I have after living in solitude for howeverlong," she said, stroking one hand up and down Luke's arm softly. "I promise, as her best friend I'm just as worried about Vesna as you are, despite having been gone for a while, but I would feel absolutely terrible if I closed the door on someone who has nowhere else to go.
"Besides, we have full rites to throw him out as soon as he makes a stupid choice," she added with a knowing look toward the older cattaur, one ear twitching at the sound of the bell, smiling a bit. "And Vesna and I are sharing a room, too; I can detail her in on what kind of cattaur Eifa really is. It's getting late, anyway. He doesn't have time to try anything."
Eifa chuckled at the rather serious reply to his joking question. Despite the laughter, the answer was honest, and some part of him that he didn't understand -or want to understand- was rather upset about the male not willing to share his bed. That thought he filed away under just wanting to be able to be warmer that sleeping on the floor would allow.
He followed after the cervitaur, tail held high as it usually was. When he was shown the blanket, he gasped in slight surprise, taking it in his own hands before hugging it to himself in a non-possessive manner. 'Vesna, this is gorgeous!! How did you learn how to design so well!?' he questioned, looking over the blanket with wide emerald eyes, the question practically glowing within their depths.

Luke closed his eyes and took a few deep breaths, letting Jaione's assurances and warm touch calm him down. "Just be careful how you tell her. She might get upset, or who knows what. She... seems to like him already." He sighed and pulled his mate close, petting her soft hair.
"When I adopted her, I never thought this far ahead. Didn't think about her growing up..."
Vesna blushed happily, his reaction more than she had expected. "I taught myself. Had some women show me the basic and I went with it. Been sewing since I was young." She put her hand shyly behind her back, looking up at Eifa. "Would... would you like me to make something for you?"

"Don't worry, I'll be careful," Jaione said, curling up comfortably beside the male and yawning once again, letting her eyes fall shut, a gentle purr coming from her chest as the male's fingers brushed through her hair. She chuckled softly. "Makes sense. Don't think I would have thought very far ahead either. Hard to imagine having a baby that's so suddenly an adult..."
Eifa gaped openly at the explanation. 'Honestly?! That's amazing!!' he squeaked, voice turning rather feminine for a moment. 'I could never make something this good if I took a thousand years just trying!!' he said, being rather melodramatic about all of this, though that was his tagline, there. Melodramatic. His eyes widened when she offered to make something for him. 'Of COURSE!! I would absolutely adore something made by you!!' he squealed, tail wagging in a way rather reminiscent of a wolftaur, already excited about whatever it was he was going to be getting.

"I know you will." He said, kissing the top of her head.
"It makes me wonder how my mom felt when I left as a meer teenager. She wasn't my birth mother, but she still cared for me. Which is why she said I could leave in the first place."
Vesna covered her mouth to stifle her laughter. Eifa was really excited about this. She wondered if he tended toward dramatics naturally, or if he was really excited. Or if he was faking. She shoved that thought quickly aside though.
"Is there something in particular you would like? Maybe you could even watch and I'll give you some pointers."
