Well, I ordered 144 rounds of Romanian surplus, and then I went to Ammunition To Go and ordered 10 rounds of 2 3/4" #3 20gauge.

I love having friends.
Even though others offered ot buy it at a higher price, he sat on the M44 for me! Now I just need to get a free weekend or time out of school so I can get to his house, which is a two-hour drive (I live on the south side of the state, he lives near the northern, though we both live in the eastern section) so I can pay his wife. He works with the Navy, I think he's a Merchant of some sort, so he's out at see at the moment, which is why I have to pay his wife instead of him. He also got me a GREAT deal on some #00 buck in 12 Gauge, at $4 a box (he got a bulk order for himself and offered to extend the offer ot me indirectly by selling me a box or two next time I stop at his house) And next to inquire what a small package of ammo would cost. Those "single-serving" paper-wrapped packages of 8-10 rounds.
EDIT: He brought up ammo before I did. He apparently is selling me his last Nagant without any plans to get another one (he has TONS of other firearms, anyway sweatdrop ), so he's offered me 15-round boxes of clean ammo at $4 a box. I'm buying about 11 of them, maybe even up to 13 if I count all my change.

So this looks like the "official" plan, at the moment.
Mosin Nagant M44: $100. 11 boxes of 7.62x54R: $44 Two boxes of #00: $8 Crate for Nagant: FREE Crate for ammo: FREE
Total cost: $152.
And he gave me an offer for 100-200 rounds of 9mm at $0.05 a round in late March, when he gets back from sea.
Holy s**t, this is all going to be HEAVY. I may have to borrow my grandfather's truck for the crate, since it's a shipping crate for multiple rifles. Unless we COMPLETELY clean the trunk out.

I got a really nice little LED light from dollar general. It's about 3 1/2" (+/-) long and about the size of an average keyring. runs off of 3 AAA batteries. Made by performance tools
http://www.performancetoolcenter.com/titan-11046-led-flashlight.html
Mine was $5 but doesn't have the laser pointer on the front
EDIT: oh wait, we aren't doing the flashlight thing in this thread anymore? crap.

I don't think any current make and model car can hold any type of Mosin crate. You'll need the truck. All that stuff for $152 is a ********, M44s are going for more than that now.

If the crate isn't TOO WIDE, I can fit it through the trunk into the back seat. But it's made to hold six rifles without gouging each other to pieces, so it's probably too wide. The trunk should be wide enough, but it's full of s**t at the moment. Now as just need to make arrangements on when I'm going to go pick it all up and pay for it, so I can either save up some extra or remain un-shot by his wife for an un-expected visit to the remote house with little visitors and single road. But she knows me, I've been down several times and even helped her around the house while waiting for the rain to stop on one range day.

I'm sure if you packed em in like sardines you could get maybe 20-25 bodies in there. Regular build, average height. And probably have enough room for the spare tire and jack.

Did I mention of offer of 200 rounds of 9mm for $0.05 a round? That's $10.
Less than the cost of 50 rounds in most every case.

The way things are looking, it'll be the end of March when I can go pick everything up. That means that I will not only have been able to save up more, but that I will also have gotten my birthday money, meaning a very high probability of getting the PT1911 as well!
Why the ******** didn't I get a job earlier?!
