Joshua found Luc with more of his friends. "Hi Zemel, Nef, Ginger!" He said happily. "Look what Bishop gave me!" He showed them the sword. "Only pure people like me can use it, she says you get cursed if you're not pure." He tured to Elizabeth and smiled apologeticly.

"I'm sorry I left." He said. Then, turning to Nef, he asked, "Do you want your present now?" He went to the benches and got it, walking carefully so he wouldn't spill any of the contents.

"Cool," said Cascati quickly, just in case Carlisle somehow changed his mind. He felt the little ringing bells of triumph that, finally, he was closer to his goal, and wondered not for the first time at how fixated he'd become: Carl had just been some kid who had seen Mimi behaving like Mimi. But then when he didn't immediately swoon over backwards to want to be Casca's friend -- and Casca hadn't been able to tell why -- winning Carl as one of his own had become like an Olympic achievement.

Hey, he actually kind of liked him, too. Carlisle was endearing somehow.

"My mum'll be happy," he added, not wanting to ruin everything now by looking overeager. "The house is full of biscuits and cake and stuff. We can't eat it all by ourselves. I'm pretty much nearly sick of cake and pie, mon ami -- and, hey, we can watch movies."

Bishop followed Joshua's general path back into the mix of children milling about. Now her amber eyes were searching for Elizabeth though. At least the other girl wasn't that hard to spot.

Once he was done chatting with Kaimi, Chris headed for the buffet table to grab another plateful of food and casually pull to a stop next to Rhye.

"Hey," he said, sitting down and tossing an entire cookie into his mouth as if it were an m&m. "Your sister abandon you?"

"Yeah," he said, grinning slightly and piling some more snacks on his plate before speaking again. "Hey, Rhye? Can I talk to you for a bit?" It was pretty obvious what all this "Can I talk to you" stuff was about when they were in a SS party.

She grinned at him, having thought it was him. She and Kash had sat down to talk it over. After all, who else would know to tell her to share it all? "Okay!" she said happily, then looked at her plate. "Can I bring this?"

She was also going to have to get Casca. After this.

Orli had very quickly gotten very, very lost amongst the sea of legs. Everyone was so much bigger than her! And she didn't see any of her friends at all. Not Chris and not Rory and not Polly and not even Austin! And he was a meanyface!

She continued her quest, toting the strangely shaped gift around the room as she pushed past partygoers and tried her hardest not to get trampled. At this point, she didn't even know where her mother was. But she didn't panic. She couldn't panic - Space cadets didn't panic.

At last, a pair of familiar blue-clad legs loomed up in front of her. Orli ran up and tugged on one of Antony's pant legs.

"Um, Mr. Antony?" she asked. "Can you help me?"

Orli nodded resolutely. "Uh huh," she said. "His name's Lucien, an' I don't know who he is." Frankly, she didn't know who anyone was outside of her little group from daycare, but it had changed a lot lately. "An' I can't find my friends," she added hesitantly. "I..."

She paused, thinking. "I think they might be bigger than me now."
