[[Like I said in page 3, I forgot to add this into my profile, bue Mel is one of those girls that everyone knows... in other words she's one of the most popular girls at school. If you'd like to add that in my profile you can, otherwise I'm just stating it here.]] "You guys really don't know me?" She asked, a little bit amazed. "And by the way, can I have that back please?" She asked, turning to the boy who just passed her. She knew a little about all of the people that went to her school. It was just who she was. She didn't talk about it that much to others, she was secretive as well. She just never gave off that vibe.

I fumed inwardly but remained silent, until it dawned on me that, infact, I didn't know his name. I looked at the girl, "No I don't know you." I turned back to the guy, clearly pissed from nearly being caught lifting, again...
"What is your name?"

James turned back towards the first girl. "James." he muttered, before silently, leaning up against the wall, and sliding down to the floor, sitting, his knees lifted and his legs somewhat spread, sitting there, seeing this would not be going anywhere anytime soon.

Mary looked at the strange girl. Speaking slowly just in case she couldn't understand. "No... We... Do... Not... Know... You..." Even though she had amused herself how she had spoken, Mary manged to keep a straight face. Then she saw Angie. She's really mad at him... And she doesn't even know him... She had failed to answer her questions earlier, so she decided to ask again. "Angie, what's going on...?"

"Wow! Really? That's kind of cool. I mean, I thought everybody at our school knew who I was. I guess I thought wrong." She smiled. "But I know you guys," she pointed to Mary. "You're Mary right? You live with a younger sister?" Then she turned to Angie. "You must be Angie, you were pregnant last year, you kept the kid right?" Then she looked down at James. "And you're james, all I hear is that you've got mad skills at pick-pocketing and you're cool." She laughed a little. "Oh yeah! I'm Melodee. You guys wanna hit D&Bs? That's where I was originally headed." She sort of shrugged her shoulders a little.

James eyes widended at her mention of his name. You've got to be kidding me, how in the world does she know my name and what I do? he thought to himself. He pulled out the Ipod he had snitched and turned it on, scrolling through. Finally, a break. The Ipod was filled with songs, and alot of them he knew. He picked a decent list and put the headphones in, which had been connected to the Ipod, and listened. Blink 182's song Stay Together For The Kids blared loudly into his head.

I felt slightly sympathetic for James, but that didn't last long, what threw me was that this Melodee girl knew a) my name and b) that I was even pregnent.
How... I hid it very well, I thought... If she knows all that... then she knows about Mike... I took a deep breath and looked at Mary, "I'm just helping him, if he accepts it... and behaves!" I looked over to Melodee, "Sure, we were just headed there. C'mon..." I nudged James with me leg gently, raising my eyebrow as if to ask 'coming?'

James sighed and got up, pushing against the wall for support as he rose. He followed behind them, a forlorn look on his face, the music blaring in his ears, drowning out all else, except his emotions.

"Great! Let's go!" She intertwined one of her arms with Mary's and the other with Angie's as if she were friends with them. Then they started walking towards the arcade."So, do you guys usually skip out on school?" She asked to break the silence while they were walking.

My eyes widened, oh no. Oh please no. Haven't I gone through enough?! I was very stiff and spoke through my teeth, trying desperately to be polite, "No. Mini Vacation. Stress of life. all that good stuff. Oh! Look, smoothies." I quickly removed my arm from Melodee's grasp and ran up to the smoothie vender, paused, turned back to James with a pleading look of help, "Do you want anything?"

Daniel peers outside of the arcade and looks the way the others had gone. By now he can actually see them; the girls had picked up some company. He grins and darts out of the arcade to catch up with them. "I guess I should have kept up after all. I was starting to think I got ditched." He nodded politely to James, whom he didn't know, then to Melodee. Her he knew, but usually avoided. Oh, well; couldn't always have your way. It looked like she'd managed to tack herself onto the group. Finally he notices the vendor. "Oh, hey, that's what you stopped for. They're pretty good here."

"Oh good! Mary, do you want anything?" I asked, reaching for bit of money I had in my pocket. I looked up at the menu, "Uhm..." I thought queitly for a moment and then decided, "What about you, Daniel? Want anything?"

Daniel's face lights up with a grin. Did he ever want something! "You bet your cute patootie I do; smoothies are made of awesome blended with win. You have got to try the strawberry, kiwi banana. That's my personal fave. Though mango melon madness is a pretty close second."

James shook his head, reading the situation and declining her offer. He glanced at the new boy, who he had seen around school on occasion, but never talked to, just like everyone else.
