Fenrick tossed Faust a ring. "Use that. I've been storing energy in IT m,y whole life." Gendal frowned. "Hon... I had to leave you... once they found out about you, they'd hurt you to get at me." Fenrick looked at him again. "Why did you kill yourself, though?" Gendal looked at him. "Well, when we'd got the news that Kenna and her mother died, I didn't have anything to live for. I guess I was wrong..."

Faust slid off his Necromancer initiation ring and slid on Fenthick's. Gendals fading image snapped back into crystal clear focus. He almost seemed real now. "When you two are done i'd like my wife's skeleton back."

Kenna's knees felt so weak. "T-that we'd died?" she asked.

"That was a while ago, I heard that they'd raided our village.... they'd said nobody survived. The whole reason I was traveling with Fenrick was to go back to see you... there was no reason for me to live anymore." Fenrick had puzzled look on his face.

Kenna was astonished. She knew her mother had taken her away abruptly in the middle of the night, but she never understood why. "I am so sorry father. Can you forgive me? Even in death?" she asked, her eyes welling with tears. She knew she had only a few minutes left, but she wanted to have forever.

Gendal smiled. "The Dead are the best at Forgiving." he said, his image fading quickly. He looked at Fenrick. "Take care of Kenna." he said. Fenrick nodded solemnly. Gendal then turned back to Kenna. "Kenna... I love you, as I always have." Then, his blurry image faded away to nothingness.

As she watched her father fade and disappear, Kenna sank to the floor. All these years, she thought he had left, that he didn't want her. She began to sob, but then realized Fenrick was still in the room. She looked up, her eyes still swimming with tears. Before he could say anything, she ran from the room, all the way to her dorm in order to get her emotions in check before the first period.

Fenrick splayed his hand and hsi ring appeared on hgis own finger. Hocked on the door, hoping Kenna would come.e was consumed in shadows rather quickly. He appeared outside the girls dorms. He knocked on the door, hoping Kenna would come.

Kenna opened the door partway. "Yes?" she asked, seeing Fenrick in the hallway. It surprised her to see him there, she had figured he would have just went to his first lesson.

Kenna wiped the red tears from her face and smiled back at Fenrick. "Yes, I just feel bad. I've hated him for so many years because I thought he just left." she told him, her expression and tone very sad.

Faust dropped to his knees before looking up. Then he thought, If he could do that for a spirit, he could bring back his on wife, But he needed fenrick's ring once again to perform this task. He looked at the skeleton of his wife Eliza. "Soon we will together again.....By any means necessary."
