MegaTherion777 kacisko MegaTherion777 i wonder if belgian waffles would taste better in belgium...? Yes, they would. Everything that originates in some country tastes best if eaten in that country. well i wasnt sure if they originated in belgium or not. french toast originated in germany (we changed the name from german toast to french toast in WWI, since the french were our allies and the germans our enemies). i believe french fries actually originated elsewhere, as well (though i could be wrong about that). French fries came from Belgium.

Well, I assure you that Polish sausage (kielbasa), Polish bigos and Polish pierogi taste best in Poland wink . Polish pierogi taste best in Poland. Just pierogi in general taste better in Ukraine or Russia. Or at least, to my tastes. LOL, yes, today that's Ukraine, Belarus or Russia... but historically speaking that's Polish territory, hence we're talking pierogi are Polish wink .

Rotting Gnarl And to Kacisko, what does kielbasa literally translate to? Because kalbasa in Russian just refers to deli meat in general... Kiełbasa means something similar to this: So, speaking technically, it's narrower than in Russian. We have plenty of other words for other deli meats wink . @Digi: any time. As long as US customs don't stop this at the boarder.

Flaming Hot are decent, in small amounts. I don't completely agree with you on that post though, Mike. USA has THE BEST meat and cooks it correctly. We know what tender meat it, and we know how to give it good flavor.

There are other foods that I like better from other countries. We don't know s**t about baking most things, the food in my motherland is mostly vegetables like cabbage and stuff, or fish. Like borscht, or shuba. We aren't good with sweet things. But I do love Russain pierogi, especially the potato ones. Mmmmm... And to Kacisko, what does kielbasa literally translate to? When it comes to food, variety is a good thing. I can't eat anything too many times in a row or I'll get really sick of it and not eat it again for like a year. That's what happened with italian paninis recently. Ugh.

We know what tender meat it, and we know how to give it good flavor. Maybe in little businesses like many of the places in Chicago, but the vast majority of food here is terrible. It's like every fast food product is based on a dare. "It is the testicles of a goat mixed into a burger patty and drenched in piss and animal fat. Are you man enough to eat it?!" scream "No, I threw up from eating grilled cheese with tomato soup!" gonk
