Emma looked at Steve, " But if you're at home that means I can't stay with you to get away from everyone. Monty said she loved me tonight. I don't know what to think about it. "
Mark drove to the restaurant, " Well can we be friends at least? "

Steve gripped the steering wheel a little "really?" it sounded a little forced. He had always had the feeling that Monty liked Emma, they were close, but he always wanted her

Emma looked out the side window on her side, " You have nothing to worry about, Steve. I have who I want. I've wanted you from the time Monty started high school. So please let's enjoy our first date. "
Mark looked at Monty, " Well I understand that Emma has your heart, but why can't you just let a friend cheer you up. Steve is the happiest he's been in awhile. He's wanted Emma for awhile. Can't you just be happy for them? They've liked each other for awhile now, please let them enjoy being together. If so much drama comes up, Steve will walk away from Emma and that in return will hurt Emma. "

he smiled at her softly after parking "it's not that... it's the fact that some one beat me to it" he held her hand up and kissed the back of it

Mark smiled, " Just trying to cheer you up. If it would make you feel better, we could go to a different restaurant. I'm sure you don't want to see Steve being all romantic with Emma, because that would hurt you and I don't want to see you hurt. Even if there is nothing between us. "

"he can't handle alcahol at all... he might be able to walk... but he's drunk out of his mind right now... she doesn't deserve that" she got out of the car and ran to Steves. She opened the passengers door and pulled Emma out "Em, he's drunk... come on"
Steve reached for her before falling out of the car and passing out

Emma collapsed against Monty, " I'm sorry. I didn't know he was drunk. Can Mark take me home? I don't trust Steve at the moment. "

she picked Emma up "of coarse" she rubbed Emma's back "that's the thing with Steve... you can't really tell when he's drunk" she explained as she walked back to Marks car
Steve snored on the pavement
"Mark... could you just... put him IN his car?" she nodded over to were steve was passed out
