Kumoru places another of the books at his feet, and hands another smaller one to Setsushi. "That one is completely blank."
He nods slowly, listening to the tall Porcelain's explanation, then asks after a moment, "Do you also have a land of the dead, then?" He thinks Jilan might have mentioned something like that at one point, but the necromancer cannot completely remember. Perhaps Setsushi knows something more, or at least something different....
Having selected a second gardening book and a cook book as well, Kouyo walks up behind Setsushi again. He reaches out to lightly touch his friend's arm as he draws close, so he will hopefully be less likely to startle Setsushi. Or get stepped on sweatdrop
Kouyo is ready to go whenever Setsushi is finished.

Setsushi frowns, and replies, "the Silver World," though... that is more like the land of the non-living than the land of the dead. But still, the teaching does not seem to correspond with their experiences--
He turns and smiles anxiously at Kouyo, showing him the books. Does one of these appeal to him? he asks. ... And more privately, does he, with his superior metaphysical knowledge, wish to answer the human's questions?
Whatever Kouyo wants is fine with Setsushi -- in terms of the number of purchases they make and in terms of his decision to conceal himself or to speak.

"Interesting," the mage responds.
"Will those be enough?"
Kouyo will give both of them a try. Also... the pretzels puzzle sounds like it could be interesting. He leans around Setsushi to pick up the bag of jigsaw pieces.
The five books and the puzzle should be enough to keep Kouyo occupied for quite some time. He is ready to go. Also, he is not sure he wants to offer the human any more information just yet. Perhaps once they see how the magic lessons go.

Setsushi nods to Kouyo, then takes out his wallet, asking Kumoru how much it will be for those five items, and also if he was able to figure out what time he would be free for the two to visit him.
... And also wondering about how they should compensate Kumoru for the lessons. sweatdrop

Kumoru grabs the pair of books he had picked out and set on the floor, and drops them into the garbage can behind the counter as he goes back to ring up the Porcelains' purchase. The total is not much - they are all used books.
"I have some free time next week, more towards the end of the week, or earlier in the late afternoon," he tells Setsushi, giving him a card with the name, address, and phone number of the shop. He flips it over, showing the Porcelain that he has written times when he is free on the back. "Would you mind me coming to your udon-ya, or would you like to meet somewhere else? I would offer my home, but the bus ride might be a bit of a hassle for you."
"And I am not too interested in compensation in terms of money," Kumoru adds. "A meal and conversation would be sufficient, I think. I prefer to deal in information."

Setsushi frowns, but accepts the card, tucking it into his wallet after paying for the purchases. He thinks that Kumoru coming to their shop would be the best plan. He will discuss the time with him further and prepare a special meal. Will the little ones also come?
He adds a few books to the shopping bags he already carries, while giving the rest to Kouyo to carry himself.

"Sure, let me know when. And I can see about bringing the little ones by. Perhaps I can drop them off with you before work, or I can have Lucretia bring them by afterwards?" The necromancer was not sure he could keep Xiao Huo sufficiently entertained during the six or eight hours he had to sit in the book store.
Kouyo takes the rest of the books and nods quickly to Kumoru before heading out of the shop.
Now, what was it Setsushi wanted to discuss before...?

Kumoru might or might not notice Setsushi twitch when he mentions Lucretia -- but Setsushi does agree to hosting Jilan and the child if Kumoru needs it. They could play with Shuuken-- ... ... ... or maybe not.
He bows slightly to the mage as he leaves with Kouyo. He walks a few paces before leaning towards Kouyo as if to whisper to him -- the matter is a little disturbing, so they might want to wait until they get home to discuss it in detail.
Setsushi is just worried that they should not reveal too much about their magic to this human mage, as humans have... coveted it, before.
